I believe it was a former furniture store in Wisconsin where most of these footage videos were shot.
Great work splicing these together. Really does justice to Kane's vision. It creates the optimal method of introducing someone to the backrooms without fumbling all over youtube.

So all this is because a human experiment opened the possibility of entering a dimension and humans tried to take advantage of that dimension but it turns out that it is unstable and begins to open portals throughout the real world making people disappear and in the end it turns out that it is a copy of real world places.

Yes! Thats the lore. Also the Dimension is a bit funky regarding time. All objects enter the rooms at the same time. So if Martins car fslls in during 1969 and fred falls in in 1980 both will enter the rooms at the same time
@@thebjdjlcraft7535thats weird because if Martin where to meet Fred in the back rooms and Some how Martin escape to the front rooms then meet Fred in the front rooms, Fred would be in the backrooms and the real world at same time. Which also means: let’s say the portal opened in 1980 then you no clipped in 1981 then escaped the backrooms using the a-sync portal could you see your younger self in 1980. If it’s true you could make paradoxes or travel back in time.
@@thebjdjlcraft7535 So theoretically people from the distant past and the distant future could meet up. Therefore, in some super extreme case an individual may have learned(or will learn?) about some revolutionary new invention or ideology from a person(s) from the far flung future.
Fun idea: suddenly a few thousand years ago humanity begins a relatively rapid advancement in all areas of civilization. Explains how humanity who has supposedly been around for hundreds of thousands of years with no real progress then suddenly _BAM!_ we start building pyramids, housing, cultivating crops, irrigation, start utilizing more permanent tools other than stones. What if some poor sap got no clipped into the back rooms, met future people and learned from them, survived and came back with mountains of new information. Could mean the very first alphabet was created just so this person could get these ideas across. Given the simple ways of life of the peoples of his era they couldn’t just start building exactly what he saw and experienced(technology and what not). So he begins at a basic level but given the finite amount of time of the human lifespan he could only do so much but nonetheless he acted as the key motivator of the earliest human harbinger of civilization. His name: Adam.
Anyone else think the creatures are the people who got lost? My theory is they basically mutated due to some bacteria or something from the soggy carpet or some airborne thing. Cause something definitely aint right about the dude from the autopsy video, like it looks like stuff is growing on his organs. And the video with "thats not a fucking person," a lot of people think the creature is a mimic, but what if its a person saying one of the last few phrases they said before they turned into a creature?

The sounds that these bacterial or possibly interdimensional creatures make are just absolutely terrifying! That mixed with the labyrinth of rooms and the feeling of claustrophobia would make The Back Rooms a great sci-fi movie if done correctly!

Tbh I see this as an origin story to how the Backrooms came to be, and how so many random people can end up in there. It was a portal that was never meant to be opened, and after this attempt at a residential project, the facility is destroyed from the inside out. But members survive and form different groups like M.E.G and others, especially as more people fall through. That also explains why there are so many furnishings and other Earthly objects in level 0 of the Backrooms. On top of that, I think a lot of the levels are formed from the subconsciousness of mankind once the dimensions connected. Nightmares or dreams, desires, etc.

I'm beginning to think that way too and also take for example the camera man who was filming his two buddies outside before the camera man took a few steps back before no-clipping to the Backrooms when he is being chased by the walking stickman and he hears the the stickman right behind him than as it pushes the cameraman we can see the shape of a man. So yeah you raise a very interesting question/ point so i too am starting to come to that conclusion

This has elements from LOST, Blair Witch, Hypercube, and Alternate Universes/Realities. It also seems to have at least one small element from that old Roddy Piper movie "They Live" where you can fall through the floor. The creator must have watched all these movies and put this together from all of them and several others even I have not seen. There are even cartoons and AI bad guys. (grins) Interesting combinations. But why not combine all the creepy stuff in one video and call it the back rooms, with A-Sync Research as the catalyst.

I feel that ceiling fans should be a hostile fixture to the backrooms... Low ceiling fans mixed with its erratic spinning and lights seems off putting haha even pictures or compilation of older fans has a liminal feeling to the space it resides in....

Its a about secret (probably infinite) complex of rooms that you can no-clip into. There are mutated monsters that once where Human as well. The Backrooms, as they are called, were opened by a company accidentally and since then people randomly fall into them.

If you look at the video descriptions of the original vid there are dates in there, dates of when the event happened. Or if its surveillance footage it will also have a date in the vid itself, check for example the backrooms activation scene

The square hole was the exit of the back room, but the exit was in the sky so he fell to his death
