@1RogerGore I dont know if "easier" is the right word, but yes, its more comfortable, the dpad is straight up better, six buttons on the front also really help to have some extra binds.
Btw, I literally have the ultimate cheat code when to comes to doing wavu and electrics. I bought the Dualsense Edge literally just so I could do electrics and Wavus and tbh it paid off. I set my right back pedal to "RIGHT on DPAD", then do the following. Press Forward Dpad *Neutral* Down on Dpad and As Im holding down, I press my right back Pedal and Triangle at the same time! Its a "fair" way of doing them tournament legally.
@@ShikiRyougi05 Yeah i get what you mean, it took me longer to get it used to it on the left side. But like you said you can do it normally and i do too but its nice to have both options
I also did something similar to this on the dualsense edge, instead I used the left paddle and set it to triangle. so ur basically doing electrics with one hand which makes the timing much easier you just input the cd motion and use ur middle finger to hit the paddle on the back.
Nice video Momo. I just bought a leverless stick 1 month ago. I used to main DVJ and struggled a lot to EWGF on an xbox pad. I had something like 40-50 % accuracy when trying to EWGF so i just didnt used it often on ranked (im only mighty ruller atm). Now with the leverless, im playing heihachi and i can consistently do tripple EWGF combos in ranked. It improved my damage output so much i cant go back to pad anymore. Its just unbelievable you play at such high level using pad. You are amazing bro, keep up with the good work!
I waited so long for this😂 It’s my first tekken and my first fighting game, and I learned a lot watching you since I play this game, though I no longer play devil jin after I reached fujin and switched to claudio, I still watch every video of yours, devil jin is a fucking cool ass character man I will go use him again someday, hope you keep uploading videos!
I personally use the Razer Wolverine v2 Chroma, it has a mechanical circular d-pad like the Raion. They recently released a new version, the v3, $100 bucks for a wired pro controller or you could pick up the v2 Chroma for $60 since they are trying to get rid of them.
The Raion is a really solid pad, however there are 2 revisions of this controller, the first one all have issues with the dpads and overtime will start to misinput some things and will also just come very loose, the second revision fixed these issues but are harder to come by. The first revision of the Raion does last around a solid year and a bit of Mishima only use.
Switched to leverless and I can electric on the P1 side like a pro. Movement KBD is trickier to learn on leverless but it is worth it! Consistent execution
i've used the commander since release but it finally gave out so on the release of Tekken 8 I bought this controller called the Betop it's super cheaper version Octa with interchangeable D-Pad i'm using the concave D-Pad it's easy to do QC movements
Thanks for the video. I tried so hard to get HKjr who is another amazing mishima player who uses pad to do a hand cam video of his wavu wavu hut never succeeded. I honestly think that ps4 pad is better than ps5 for Tekken.
for how long do you have it now? I got one, played the shit out of it, but the d pad broke (d and f didn't work properly anymore) shortly after the warranty ended. i gave them the benefit of the doubt, got another one because man i really love the feel of the dpad, but same thing happened.
I had no idea you used pad! I also use pad as a Mishima player, I've tried leverless and stick but I can't get the hang of them. I ended up changing the d-pad on my ps5 pad and swapping them out for Battle Beaver ones. It's deffo made a big change in my wavus and electrics :D
I know they do custom controllers but I’m not sure if they are available for Xbox pads, I ended up also ordering a custom ps5 controller and they fitted in the battle beaver d-pads for me
Finally I found another person who uses the middle part of their thumb and not the tip for the d pad XD, I too have a huge swollen bulge at the middle of my thumb lmao
I use the hori octa ps5 it has the same face button layout as as razor raion, as well as the pad it’s super comfortable especially if you play Mishimas , both are amazing for wave dash because of the floating dpad (the more you break in the pad the better it feels) Ps just don’t get the T8 hori version that was is 💩
You probably know this already: just keep practicing. I used to be the opposite, couldn't really do it on P2. I just kept practising and now I'm quite consistent. Other than that, can't really give more specific tips without having more context unfortunately
i used to play heihachi (t7/t8) with the razer raion, but i found that i feel A LOT more confortable with a logitech f310. that gamepad's precision makes nosense
i think the best controller is the one that feels comfortable in your hands, electrics cause arthritis lol. 8bitdo pads got me going but i kill them every 8 months or so. flydigi vader 3 pro has been holding up.
I loved this controller tbh, my dpad on it broke one day and I am unable to find one near me again that I can trust to buy lol. Im playing on octa right now but its not as good tbh
Even till today - i have not found better then Keyboard for Tekken: W,A,S,D and Num-Lock numbers. I have tested everything, except Mix-Box. Stick is painful for your wrist, joy-stick is just not serious - i dont feel in control with PS, Xbox, Octa - whatever pads. Only keyboard actually feel normal and i only use Fingers and not wrist at all. Its like palying piano ;)
Love all of it's buttons but the D-pad is not ok. It has may misinput issues and no reliable backdash really. The dualsense feels more reliable imo. Also, mine has no pivot. Razer also did not take my refund and basically said F you.
I'm selling my Raion for 70€ so i can get a flydigi vader 4 pro cause i need a pad for more than just fighting games, and the Vader 4 is literally the raion with more features but no PlayStation licensing (albeit its an asymmetrical thumbstick layout pad)
@@Akathysia you could probably setup some stuff for some character like I'm sure you could setup perfect electrics with ease if you figure out what button your pressing early or late and adjust
Knee wanting to see your thumb is the Tekken equivalent of gym bros asking you to flex
I just got an Octa after having the og commander for 4 years, absolutely love it so far
Do you play on pc? I’ve always wanted to try that pad
@Hachijo3GS Yeah im on pc, works well, there is even a software app for hori stuff where you can change settings like the dpad sensitivity and stuff

I was so confused, like why this person stepping on the gas to do an electric, until I realised you meant paddle
This does work however this works like shit for left side, at that point you can just do them normally lol + the dpad is ass in general.

thats funny, im here cuz i got claudio to kishin and switched to dvj lol. dvj's df1 and uf4 are certainly a.. different experience, esp against Ling
I agree on the take for the Xbox pad, but the Xbox Elite pad is much nicer and works a lot better for me as a Mishima player. Great review!

I bought this controller because I saw you using this in one of your older videos and it’s a great controller

Isn't it kind of bad?
I know it's evasive but not really rewarding considering it's -15 on block.

I just bought the Victrix Pro BFG. The Dpad is really good, and my fingers don’t tire when wavedashing as quick as on the Dualsense
That controller seems very nice but I cannot justify the price for it.. it’s so much money lol
That controller is amazing. It’s a universal controller because of the easy modding. Can use it for any and every game. It’s fantastic for Tekken.
