    I never buy prepared hummus. It's way too expensive at my market. I buy chickpeas when they're on sale by the case. A bottle of Tahiti lasts forever. I always have a random piece of garlic, lemon juice and a piece of red pepper to quickly roast and toss in. Toss it all into your bullet or blender. Takes minutes. Cheap. We use hummus on hot pasta ...it's one of our go to meals. Hummus pasta, garden salad.

    If you guys like oat milk, just fyi, the Aldi oatmilk is super high quality and fabulously creamy. I like it in my coffee, but it does settle after a bit in the hot coffee, so I usually give it a couple of stirs here and there.

    You remind me so much of myself 30 years ago. I was a single mom of 3 for quite awhile and learned how to be very frugal out of necessity. I've been stable for quite awhile now but I still practice frugality. Life is so much easier that way ;) God Bless your week ahead.

    Thank you for sharing! I would love it if my family would get on board with eating the same thing all week. Meal planning for me is stressful and a lot of work. I have ADHD and planning 3 meals a week would really simplify one area of my life. I’m thinking I might start 9 different meals a week and then go from there. I love your channel and appreciate you sharing your tips.

    I just started watching your videos good job everything looks great. just a few tips that you might already know if you buy dry beans you get more of a bang for your buck than canned and they are easy to prepare and can ecen freeze or can for future use also making your own bread is much cheaper. I dont know if you garden but that will save a ton too especially with starting your own seeds, will be way less than buying plants you can grow in pots/containers or raised beds recycle your food waste and turn into compost and if you Can your foods or dehydrate or freeze your extra foods from the garden that will help put away extra food for later. Even using some of the produce to make baby food in the future is much cheaper than buying it. Good job! 😃

      Try making the cream of wheat with oat milk or almond milk, a dash of cinnamon and splash of vanilla extract, obviously include sugar as package says, when done top it with some applesauce. I make farina topped with strawberries for my kids and though they love it, hubby didn't.....until I topped with applesauce. Maybe try it as a snack or dessert sometime and ease him into it lol.

      Maybe 50 or so grams a day right now. When I am lifting weights and working out more, I focus on adding in more protein. Nursing moms need lots of fat and protein. Like meats and real milk.

    • @raisingwildflowers
      @raisingwildflowers  Год назад +7

      I am able to get enough fats and protein from plant-based sources 😊 Many, many babies actually cannot tolerate dairy in their breastmilk so their moms have to go dairy-free anyway. My milk supply is great without meat or dairy, if anything, I struggle with an oversupply the first few weeks 🙃 Baby is growing great and in the 60% percentile 😁

I've nursed all 5 of mine and also have ADHD so i normally don't have a huge urge to eat "healthy" but when nursing my snacking is crazy but it's still grown 5 babies and kept me alive so i think every mom/baby relationship is different. Baby is beautiful….but why do you keep having babies when you are dirt poor….those kids are gonna figure out real quick that you’re dead ass broke and resent it. Their friends will be going to carnivals, the dollarstore, movies, new fashion and you won’t be able to provide any of it. Is it important? No! But there’s nothing worse for a child than being an outcast….way to go

    • @raisingwildflowers
      @raisingwildflowers  Год назад +5

      How judgmental and opinionated of you. My older kids are 17 & 15 and have had a wonderful life and do not resent me at all. We live at the beach, most years we have had yearly passes to theme parks, and we homeschool so they are able to hang out with friends mostly whenever they want. Living a frugal life does not mean we are “dead ass broke.” We are completely debt free, including owning our home. Thanks to being frugal, we don’t have to work our life away and I get to BE THERE with my kids. Just because our lifestyle is different from yours, doesn’t mean it is a bad one 🙄

    • @Sarah65615
      @Sarah65615 Год назад

      @@raisingwildflowers you put yourself out here to let the world see what a wonderful job you’re doing living on dirt wages. So you don’t like my comment because it doesn’t line up with what you think we should all be agreeing with. There’s other comments on here but you’re just happy with the ones that say oh you’re doing a great job. The reality is is the kids are smart, and they know when they don’t have something that somebody else has and yes you’re right it’s not a nice thing to say, but it’s true.. when kids are brought up on dirt wages they inevitably will be heard commenting later, that yeah, they had a lot of fun in their youth, but they don’t ever want to be that dead ass broke again. Continuing to have children and just assuming that feeding them is enough is unrealistic and selfish. Perhaps homeschooling them is your only option since if you send them to school they be bullied.
      I, personally, work from home and see my kids all the time and still make 10 times what your husband brings home. I am not exaggerating and when my kids come to me and say hey mom, can I have some money to go to the theme park with my friends, I make sure it’s a safe environment for them and they’re going to have a good clean fun and I don’t have to tell them no because that’s my grocery money for the week🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. I'm always perplexed by people that announce their lifestyle to the world, but god forbid you think they're lifestyle sucks and then all of a sudden you're 'judgmental and opinionated'. So are your supporters, otherwise no one would make any comments..positive or negative. It's called an opinion.
