Wow - what an incredible channel! There's plenty of gear focused videos out there on the internet, and there's also some good motivated lighting stuff but rarely do they combine the details of why you are choosing to shoot in a certain and very intentional way. It's usually either quite washy as to why the lighting and positioning choices are made or it's all about the gear and technical details but this is probably the best blend I have ever seen and the images are just phenomenal too. Instant sub!
Brilliant video. So good to see a pro at work and the shots - both how they were taken and the results, are phenomenal. I don't do portraits, so I bought the earlier kit, the Adventure Light Field Kit, X2D, XCD 45p, XCD 4/21 which is AMAZING! The firmware update (v2.0) added live histogram as well as focus peaking and a number of other great things. The X2D is just wonderful. Thanks for another super video.
I love that you give all your settings and the Why of them! One question though, in the situations with split/blended light, how did you handle white balance?
Beautiful work! I also own the X2D. I'm primarily a landscape photographer, but have my first studio portrait session tomorrow. I'm a little confused as to how I will set up my focus point in-camera. Could you please elaborate just a bit as to how you set up your focus point in the camera? Thanks.
super tuto on flash photography ! tutos with sony are welcome. Just purchased a a7rv, xpro2s and ad300pro+ad200pro+ad400pro+V1S with UB105 and 130 umbrellas, magmod 42" octa,...
Captivating insights on capturing mood with the Hasselblad X2D kit! How significant is post-processing in achieving this moody aesthetic? Always looking to refine my approach, and your expertise is invaluable!
There are not a lot of these movement type portraitures on youtube. Thanks for this. It is helping me to decide that the Hassy can work in this type of environment. Wondering about your tripod and strobe gear. Can you tell us about gear that works with the X2D. Thanks again.
Hey, thanks for the great video on shooting with light. What kind of light gears are suitable for H X2d? I have mostly Godox light.. If I have a trigger for Nikon, is it compatible ? Thanks again.
There's a few videos I'd wish for or like you to do. 1) A full on portrait post processing video showing the exact " constant" steps/procedure you use every time. 2) A colour portrait taken with the intention of producing the best contrasty black and white image from said colour image capture. Again, highlighting every step you'd use in order to achieve this contrasty image.
Excellent content :) with all the garbage RUclips videos out there - this was refreshingly interesting, informative and inspirational! I almost want to grab the camera and get my wife to pose for a few photos in the living room haha
Another great job. Please, can you tell me if you can customize the white balance on the X2D by shooting at a gray card, does the cam copy this? I don't see it in the menus of the manuals I've read. Greetings!
Hello, I'm going to open a photo studio for the first time. Please help me. How do I make my photos look so beautiful?I'll use photoshop or and software?
Well observerd. It is pity that such a camer with a screen with a hot pixel was delivered. I would have expected that such a camera would fail quality control.
With the Hasselblad you don't have to switch each time from AF to MF after and before AF focusing, you simply remain always in MF and AF refocus when needed with the AF back button while staying in MF
Hi Mark, Watching your video I noticed that you use a Pixapro ST111 trigger on your X2D camera with Godox flash units. I have spent hours trying to find a trigger for Off Camera flash using Godox flash units on my X2D camera. Could you please help me and verify the exact name of the Trigger unit and assure me it works with Godox flash, mainly the AD200 Pros. I would really appreciate a reply on this matter. Michael
Word of caution for the having the fabric close to the light setup - turn the modeling lamp off or the fabric will catch on fire. Speaking from experience. If you use those foam core boards, especially the black ones, be careful as well, they are extremely flammable.
Saying 1 over 64 power is not giving us any reference points to measure. . . Is that one stop under ambient??? Half stop???? How are we going to replicate this if we do not know the light ratio??? TIA
Yeah but for less $$ you can get an A9iii and shoot flash at 1/8000 AND not give money to DJI which treats their customers like dirt! Just sayin. Also, your camera link is 404ed...FYI Cool pics.
24mp, iso noise, colors like a Samsung phone, and still plastic... however i love sony for their Technically advanced Technology... I even worked for them until last year... but you cant really compare MF with the small so called "full frame"
I have found there are no rules in art. It is all in the eye of the beholder some might consider what you did as art while others may think of it as a snapshot on a multi thousand dollar camera and consider it over kill.
Stunning pictures of beautiful people! Thank you for this wonderful video!
Wow, Bella is such talented model! Stunning images
That shutter click is sooooo satisfying
The detail and sharpness in the eye @ 13:30...... 🔥🔥🔥

Captivating insights on capturing mood with the Hasselblad X2D kit! How significant is post-processing in achieving this moody aesthetic? Always looking to refine my approach, and your expertise is invaluable!
Mark, did you change the white balance to get the moody effect ? Great video thanks for sharing
Great video. Can you share the name of the fan you have in the first video. It's in the back camera left.
that 's amizing photoshoot , the lens 45 , 80 mm is that prime lens is right ?
He really nailed the moody portraits. Interested in knowing if there was any post production or the camera and lighting did all the work.

I subbed you got mad skills even though I can’t afford that 13 thousand dollar camera right now. 😂
Hey, thanks for the great video on shooting with light. What kind of light gears are suitable for H X2d? I have mostly Godox light.. If I have a trigger for Nikon, is it compatible ? Thanks again.
"Bell, snoot time" i laughed 😂

can u pls tell us what tripod and ball head u are using in this video
The question: whats trigger flash for supporting LS...most trigger on market jas support HSS..cause hss n LS different result
I want to ask something that is light. What is kicker light?
Not sure what you mean by shooting at 1/8000 sec without going to high speed sync?
Nice video! Nice System! Get that highlight off her nose 8:35min ;)
Whish you can tell @ ballerina Setup .. what do you used @ lights
How long was that Shoot
Amazing photography job, beautiful model, and if you don’t have a snoot, you can make one out of tin foil.

How to take MOODY PORTRAITS:
1. Buy Hasselblad kit
2...... =)
JFYI it's mostly joke. I understand that you can take similar shots with my Nikon D750 (maybe a little worse than with Hasselblad)
The cap prevents him from looking at the camera, but he still doesn't take it off.
Is that a 16" beauty dish?
Bella Ballerina está mulher é lindíssima, não faz esforço para ser linda.
I can't find her on instagram 😞
Saying 1 over 64 power is not giving us any reference points to measure. . . Is that one stop under ambient??? Half stop???? How are we going to replicate this if we do not know the light ratio??? TIA
"to your full-frame equivalent" 💀
1/80 why not blur ?
My favorite moment ruclips.net/video/bTu2SrldUeg/видео.html that combo is amazing ^^ medium kick jab jab 🥊🥊🥰🥰🥰🥰
Show the pictures that you have taken.

100mp is not flattering and of small use to most of portrait photographers.. how true?
