You've got a lot of the stuff to make yourself a big channel, but you only have triple-digit subscribers? And this video doesn't have the views it deserves. A nice little subcompact crossover with remarkable off-road capability out of the box with the appropriate protection from the factory, a skilled driver, great attitude, and even unobtrusive and nice soundtrack choice. I don't know how I didn't find your channel in 2017, but I found your channel now in 2020, you earned yourself a video like, as well as a new subscriber!
Awesome video. I am wheeling Rocky Gap for my first time here coming up. I'm happy to see other vehicles that don't have 35's making it through relatively unharmed. That spot around "the tree" looks like a tight squeeze, I'll probably spot there!
I'm glad to see you enjoying your Jeep. So many buy these rigs and are afraid to take them into the dirt. I have an 89 Wagoneer that people think I'm crazy when I take it on to the trails. They tell me its a classic. I feel it is built to take me up a mountain. Like you said, a few dings and scrapes is just gives the Jeep a little character.
I had no idea that vehicle had such abilities. What a capable 4x4! Now I want one bad! Great video that really impressed and showed something. Just awesome!
DUDE! I did this trail just this past Friday, it is exactly the same. I rental a 4 door wrangler from Fox rentals and off we went. We also did the secret pass it was awesome as well. thanks for sharing. We are total rookies but I think we are past that now. lol
Nice driving bro, did you check out north peak while you were there, it's about an hour hike from where you were, I have to park my accord on Lovell Canyon road when I hike North Peak or Bridge mountain!
@@mrlooneycooney8948 never thought about dealer support. How would that work? There are lots of renegade owners around. Need to find a way to get them all together
@@richardmiller1256 Well , I used to do it that in my youngerdays and had a Fordclub. My dealership was pretty excited to help out and reached out to customers and helped to organize some events. In case of my fordclub, we all went to a local track and the dealership even did some presentation of a new model . Wow what a fun video! I have a 2015 stock trailhawk been wheeling in and i felt that rock hit thru the computer! Damn! Falken has some new all terrain tires that are sized to fit the renegade trailhawk without any modifications. Falken wildpeak at trail not the at3. Do you have any experience with these on the renegade. Thinking about a purchase. I wheel in big sur, ca some great trails out here if you are ever in the area let me know.
I don't recommend rocky gap road for stock vehicles. Being said me and my friend made it through with a 94 jeep zj 5.2 and a 97 mercury mountaineer 2wd. It took us about 6-7 hours to make it through but it was a great time. Definitely one of the most technical route in the Vegas area in my opinion not to mention a great way to get into redrock for free.
Key word free. Unfortunately it dumps out on the last third of the 13 mile loop but there's access to a ton of hiking trails on that side of the valley.
Awesome video bro! 👍🏽 new sub! Just moved to Vegas last year what trail u think is the easiest trail for my jeep gc I’m afraid rocky gaps rocks too big I’m a newbie wanna start super easy 🙏🏽
what mods have you installed on you renegade? what more will you do? how do you feel about the mpg? for the price of fully loaded trailhawk, are you fulfilled with your purchase? 34k seems a lot....its not GOAT(go over all terrain), there are limits. but i guess as a daily driver city dweller should be fine
I fully built it and went to moab and hit a ton of trails no problem. I sold it and now i have another after building a JL wrangler as well. Seen in my action clips. Ill have a walk around on my new renegade up soon. They are solid little rigs
What an incredible video! I just bought a 2018 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk. I knew people did some nice trails with them but I've *never* seen one do this before! Have you modified yours at all? Lift? Tire size? Was it bone stock for this ride?
@@robertdoran7387 It's been 3 years since I asked this question. I'm so glad that 3 years later you finally came to my rescue and answered my question. You're doing God's work. Keep it up Mr Doran.
I did not think Renegades could handle rocks that big. Definitely impressive. You should definitely lift it. ATP offers a 4 inch lift for it which you would definitely make use of.
Too much to type in a youtube comment. But the ATP 4 inch kit isnt a real 4 inch kit. And Their customer service and general attitude towards the public sucks.
Gives me hope. Every other Rocky Gap video I've seen makes it look much worse. They must be spending more time down in the riverbed driving higher clearance vehicles with bigger tires. I wouldn't even think of doing what they've done in my stock 2012 Liberty with no lift kit, no rock sliders or skid plates. Now that I know there's a bypass road I might give it a shot.
Here in the Midwest your not jeepn unless your in a wrangler. Might get sent home if seen in a Renegade. Cool Jeep though. Just never heard that before
Drives through mostly flat trail and rock garden without much required technical driving or suspension articulation then proceeds to bash JK drivers. 😆 Can the Renegade handle the ledges and drops found on the Rubicon Trail? Don’t get me wrong, this is still impressive for a stock Renegade but I think it’s very limited in comparison to the wrangler or other straight axle jeeps.
I run a Jeep group of 2k people here in Las Vegas, i know many Wrangler owners who have suffered back there. I am leading a run this weekend and alot of people are nervous. Lol
