    At the age of 23, i finally got my license almost two months ago in the US, to anybody watching these, it's super easy, i managed to get it on my first try with no formal instructor helping me through it, main things is try not to stress, get plenty of practice in, study and be familar with all laws and the area you're testing in. You've got this! I stressed way too much about it, take your time and breathe before you start up the test and you'll do well!

  • @barsorrro
    @barsorrro 9 месяцев назад +12

    Good luck on your test, Nova!
    I might be wrong, but it seems that maybe there was an element of test stress showing in Nova's driving. It's kind of incongrous how her driving overall shows a very decent level of competence: she's doing things on time, fairly smoothly, takes decisions well, etc., etc., and then there are little silly things that throw her off, like not knowing whether the handbrake is on or off, how to find the bite point in a new car, not realizing that she might be in a wrong gear, and then that bay parking which seemed to baffle her completely. I do think it must be the nerves (plus, in case of the parking excercise, a rather evident lack of practice for that particular element), because on the whole, Nova is definitely a satisfactorily safe driver. So, I hope she passes!

    Following the incorrect route is not a fault if done safely. In this test as soon as route recovery begins we have horrendous problems with traffic blocking us off followed by a second exit left turn at roundabout where we get a serious fault for not choosing the ideal lane and then we cut people up without checks.

    Why do you need a manual?

      You don't need one; you can learn/take your test in an automatic. In the UK, you'd receive an "automatic only" endorsement on your license. Meaning you can only legally drive an automatic. Most opt to pass in a manual so they can drive either transmission type. It's entirely down to personal preference.

    "SCRAPES"? More like "taps", which will be expected some point after she gets her licence and has her own car. hope she is ok and doesn't take too much offence at the shock-like description used about her in the title
