    Erin is a really sweet girl and can become a brilliant driver when she gets that self-doubt out of her head. Her only real problem is a confidence issue. If any young driver gets behind the wheel of a car believing that they are going to make loads of mistakes, then they will. Concentration, awareness and self-believe are top ingredients for success. The driving Instructor makes all the difference and is vitally important for that confidence boost to their pupils. Aman scores at peak level for this.

    • @iiSnipez
      @iiSnipez Год назад +11

      I agree with this comment so much. I’ve had trouble with awareness and concentration in the past but as soon as I gained confidence they come with it. Also, if you keep knocking yourself thinking it’s gonna be a bad lesson it probably will be so don’t do that and you’re good!

      @@Goat.Herder Sure but I'd argue there is a reason that the majority of RUclips driving lesson videos are based in UK. Also notice that you pivoted from obstacles being necessary to make safer drivers, to now saying that there are no obstacles, just nerves.

    • @brainer5457
      @brainer5457 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@Goat.Herder As someone who lives in London, you are 100% wrong on this. UK driving test is absurd and only serves to make the DVSA and private driving companies more money. It doesn't create safer drivers, instead it drains bank accounts and just makes the learners more stressed and anxious.
      The fact that there are 6 european countries that have a better quality of driving and road safety than the UK whilst also having a short and simple driving test just goes to show, it's not the complex exam that makes the driver safe, but the roads themselves.

The Green background shows it is a primary route. whereas the white background is non primary and can be any type of road. A, B or unclassified. Love Erin's lessons. I‘ve past my driving exam exactly 2 years ago (in Italy, Milan) and had been driving since 1 year almost daily (car sharing and now my personal car).
    I would argue that the “serious fault” while reversing (around 16:00) should be a minor. Since the car behind is waiting and, nobody is supposed to come on your right side. Even Bikes or Motorcycles would overtake on the right side of the waiting car. So Erin shouldn’t be worried too much on her right side/blindspot.
    I know the rules aren’t what I believe to be right, but thinking of it, a “minor” would be more appropriate in my opinion, what do you think? 🤔

    Mock tests are very important and this is an example of good practice. To make it totally realistic, would the examiner not have a notebook, comment sheet or clipboard? Surely she can't remember all the faults by the end. Maybe they don't these days in order not to distract the candidate; I passed my test in the week we introduced decimal currency(!) so I'm a bit out of touch. Erin will be a much better driver than many who've had their license for years and have become complacent. As an elderly chap, I find these videos amongst the most informative on RUclips and they certainly help me to remember stuff I really should know already.

But looking at the comments, I’m not the only one thinking that. But Erin shows some fantastic qualities, as soon as she starts to believe in herself, studies the show me/tell me questions and slows her manoeuvres down she can smash that test. Go on, Erin!

    6:30 The little black car posistioned half way across the center divide which Erin was not expecting. If the black Aygo had of stayed posistioned as normal Erin would of not been able to continue safely...thats Erin being safe and not taking chances like an experienced driver...NOT a serious.
    9:00 There is no way thats a serious...If you watch Erin she doesnt fling forward in her seat and is in control. The braking was not as bad as it looked from Aman's lunge forward. If she had of sped through she would of definitely got a serious on a test. NOT a serious.

    Erin's, good smoothed driving! Today's issues are #roundabouts #drivngtips! Hope you do well? Be proactive, searching for potential hazard! Good parallel parking! Be, mindful of clearway. Good approached to roundabout, exit left to new road. Well done.🙂

      Sits there with a gormless smile on her face, too busy wanting to look at the camera and then the eyeroll at the end was just rude and childish. If she makes those stupid mistakes and causes an accident in the real world, she'll just get decked in the face by someone. Then she will be looking stupid.

      I think it’s endearing as lots of young people have very passive personalities , as I did too. As long as she is taught and the patterns are ingrained, it’s mainly up to drivers checking themselves when they start driving proper, as to whether they become good drivers or not.

    I do the same thing, I constantly check how the instructor has reacted so I know if I'm driving badly...

    At 10:07 at the roundabout… so is she in the correct lane behind the red car or should she have been on the left lane? I’m so confused

    They should make you do a walk round check ✅ of your vehicle before each lesson or test ...I know when i did my HGV driver 🚛 training ...you checked your vehicle every time...this should be happening with car driver training as well.... just a thought 💭🤔..

    Why did you not give a minor on first roundabout? No. left mirror check on exit?
