- For everyone that keeps asking. The flutter is called compressor surge. I am still running a fully adjustable forge BOV that isnt blanked. I use a bunch of custom parts and my turbo is a custom built billet VF48.
if your going to leave some negative comment or opinionated comments then go find someone else's videos to comment on.

Lol I’m planning on buying a 1965 corvair within the next few days if I’m not wrong it was the first turbo car in the us and also the first rear engine car and stayed the only until the fiero but now the c8 is coming out so that makes it 3

Forza has a pretty good flutter its just lacking the spooling sound you literally can't hear turbos in most cars except the blow off

@@szymon6207 It isn't surge. Surge is when you get a barking sound while under throttle. This sound comes from when he lets off the gas and the throttle body slams shut. The air goes back towards the turbo and causes it to chop the air. Can also happen if the BoV is too tight.

@@beezowdoodoozoppitybopbopb9488 surge is under throttle, the first part of my comment you didnt read. The noise the subaru is producing is when he lets off, which is flutter, not surge.
@@thedominionx there are two types of compressor surge. Wide open throttle compressor surge and closed throttle compressor surge. Both produce the "flutter" sound. Get your facts right.

usually caused my metal intake pipe and VL RB30et commodore with came factory with no BOV, love all the comments spins backwards / kills turbo Holden did it

@@malachilatroy depends. I would be careful on modern factory turbos running higher boost pressures. But a good garret with beefy thrust washes no problem

music to my ears !!!! Just a seriously awesome sound that i love to hear . I do wonder however , is it a specific type of turbine that makes that sound ? Because i heard other turbocharged cars and i didn't like the sound as much ...
It happens when the throttle body is closed suddenly and the blowoff valve or bypass valve doesn't release excess boost pressure quickly enough, causing the extra air to run back through the turbo, causing the flutter. It's said to be bad for the turbo and to cause premature wear.

Used to be a really popular mod here in Australia back in the early to mid 2000's.
Never really hear "doses" anymore.
Look up the VL Turbo, they were really well known here for the turbo flutters/doses

Marc Instone no, turbo noises are surge. The bov is that tssss, it releases that pressure. That’s why turbo flutter isn’t great, it sounds sick as fuck, but it’s not that healthy for ya turbos
