been long time waiting but he's had his 1st dyno run at 566bhp so we can bed it all in before going 600bhp . . running a pulsar G30-770 turbo Tial 38mm external wastegate custom exhaust . he pulls like a train I'm so happy

before you ask, it has a custom built billet turbo and a forge fully adjustable bov with the correct spring rating along with a bunch of custom mods to get it how I want it. don't comment with "compress surge is bad".... this is closed throttle and is fine it's my car 👍🏻 thanks for watching Instagram: @scooby.spotter p.s mines not an STI

For everyone that keeps asking. The flutter is called compressor surge. I am still running a fully adjustable forge BOV that isnt blanked. I use a bunch of custom parts and my turbo is a custom built billet VF48. if your going to leave some negative comment or opinionated comments then go find someone else's videos to comment on. No blow off valve Will make that sound, you need at least 15 psi boost from gt35r turbo or similar size and 38mm blow off.

@@DriftNick that sound does not come from any blow off, It comes from the excess air charge pressure on his way back when gas pedal released so trottle body closes and this excess air is touching the turbine compresor blades, if you put a 50mm blow off or larger one, backpresure will be released through fast enough and no noise will coming from the Blades. So for 13+ psi of boost you need a 38 mm size blow off that will not be able to release all the backpresure fast enough to not get back and push against the compresor wheel making that noise.
@@aagoge If you want turbo flutter you just run no blow off valve, even running a 38mm blow off valve will stop it from happening if it's setup correctly.

Is it impossible to get this sound out of a 2013 STI that only has an intake, exhaust, BOV, and accessport?
You Will need 15 psi or more from a gt35r turbo or similar size, 38 mm bov and proper tune for it all.

@@NealChauhan not easy not cheap... Instead of that, you can try just to delete the blow off and put a cone filter, cheap and easy, I am almost sure you will get a nice ammount of flutter.

I tried today to record my turbo flutter, and failed to achieve nice sound, i feel like you need to be a sound engineer with professional microphone 😂 Smartphone inside was to queit, and Bluetooth microphone headphones under the bonnet created horrible sounds 😢

I always try to respond. This video us near 6yrs old. I made so many parts myself and took parts from others to make things work. This was just the end result. Most people just blank the bov but I ran a hard spring fully adjustable one. I no longer have the car. Feel free to look on my Instagram there's more on there @p40kyn

10 minutes after this video was taken, parts of his turbo were found in the exhaust.
Love how people know nothing about the build and mKe an assumption. Car was like this for 4 years and the turbo come off for a bigger one with no issues but you carry on your assumptions
