@@jaysonventura Thanks for quick response brotha! So you think the sealant is a no go for the POR15 system? All the videos I see are for older classic cars and motorcycle tanks so hard to gauge if it would work with Evo tanks.. I have one small rust spot on my tank and looking at options to repair it.. My worry is after the metal prep(etch) wouldn't the rust come back due to ethanol content in gas?
@@evo_dann you can use sealant but it will be hard to get it fully cover up at some areas. If you know anyone that is certified to do tank repair that will be an option. I think the gasoline may help clear out the rust area if your going through putting gas all the time rather than leaving in, gasoline kinda turns into water when sitting for a long period of time. And of course you wanna check through your strainer condition

why was that this much rusty? was the car sitting for sometime? Watching it makes me worried that these fuel tanks will get rusted sooner or later
It was sitting for 8 years. Couldn’t find a tank where I live. Car runs till this day with no issue
