Heavily armed terrorists from Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) stormed an army base in Uri in Kashmir killing 17 jawans and injuring 19 others. This prompted Prime Minister Narendra Modi to assert that those responsible "will not go unpunished". All the four terrorists were gunned down.

air strike will result in a full out war while the limiting the water through indus will put pressure on pakistan army which is the culprit.And according to a UN rule any treaty can be revoked in special circumstances, and by the way the treaty is too much liberal for pakistan allowing them to use most of the water of these rivers(india can use only 19%), no country allow some one else to use most of the water of a river which originates in it.

After the earthquake on 8/10/2005 in Azad Kashmir, many points on LOC were opened to facilitate free movement of aid. Almost feel pity towards the people from Pakistan commenting in this video. Must be frustrating for them to see India making progress in every sector while their country is still trying to fight terrorists in their own state and labelled as a terrorist state. I suggest the following:
1. Reduce water going into Pakistan. They are already a dry country. This will hit their agriculture and start to create socio-economic chaos.
2. Stop all Indo-Pak trade. Indian imports are cheap and they rely heavily on us. Stopping exports to Pakistan will force them to importing from else at a much higher price as cost of transport will go up!
3. Send large troops to the broader areas. Maintaining troops at the border is very expensive and they won't be able to sustain for long.
4. Push US to convert their financial aid to incentive-based non-financial aid. That way they will not be able to buy arms using humanitarian aid.
5. Bump up 'moral support' to Free Baluchistan movement :)
6. Increase naval activity in Arabian sea and near Chabahar port. That would put them under immense pressure as all of their trade is via Karachi.
If we can sustain these measures in excess of 8-9 months, Pakistan will literally crumble..

Excellent debate in terms of what actions India can initiate politically, diplomatically and also militarily against Pakistan. Especially at min 37.3 there was a reference made to how Mrs. Gandhi tackled the situation so bravely during Bangladesh conflict and taught Pak a lesson without caring for anyone including USA. For once I dont agree with GD Bakshi. His suggestion of using Brahmos missiles on Pakistan camps is like using a shotgun to kill a mosquito. Use a repellent to deal with mosquito. In the present context, we should use more technology and better training to keep the enemy away instead of war, which will only slow down our economy.
