He served with 10th Engineer Regiment based at Tezpur Assam
I vaguely remember similar reported in news back in those days about how terrorists infiltrated in the airbase I think there was a mention about some un named officers or guards involved in helping terrorists
@@dhruva1221 As far as i remember he was a dysp of j&k police who was actively involved in anti-terror operations,it was he who helped them get near the base and later said that his car got hijacked. After the inquiry he was stripped of his gallantry medal first and then removed from service.
When the officer came to know that the terrorist might have a bomb in his body, why did he take such a risk, he could have even used a robot to check the bomb, our soldiers are very brave and have no fear of death, But despite knowing this, it was not right to take this risk, losing such a brave officer is a big loss for the country.
