I just purchased your rescue book, and this is the first video I’ve watched of yours. Thoroughly enjoyed it…that’s some palette! I kept trying to figure it out. LOL
Always happy to see when you have a new video posted! Your brushes arrived yesterday and now i can‘t wait to try this out. 😃Gail does the best close up filming. Thank you both, i have learned so much! 👍😊🎨
I absolutely am falling in love with watercolor paint through you. Love the way Gail interacts with the process, add to the interest of the demo. Please give us some more demos on watercolor pencils. I bought your book but i enjoy seeing you demonstrating what you can do. You make it fun and "easy". Thank you
What a great painting, and I love your banter with Gail, it’s brilliant. Are we going to see a new colour in the Charles Evans range of paints - Mucky Green. It’d probably catch on. Thank you for another wonderful video. Love to you both - Dawn 🌅
I had a go at this one yesterday, on {my last piece} of Langton Rough Watercolour paper, but I did mine in Acrylic paints {System 3 of course}. I was quite pleased with it. As I have said before, I learn a lot from watching your videos and always enjoy the banter between you and Gail, who does a great job of filming these. I don't know if this is appropriate or not but I can't see anywhere on the web site to leave feedback for my recent purchases. One Langton Rough A3 pad and two Aquafine brushes 3/4 flat and number 8 round. A very good price, cheaper than anywhere else and very fast delivery. Arrived today . Many thanks to you both. Steve Moulton.
Thank you! I learned several techniques from this. A lot of my problems come from lack of confidence- I wouldn't dare to put blue in the foreground, but now I see how it works. If I can ever paint something as good as this 1/2 hour quick sketch I'll be happy.
Thank you sir. I am 42 and have only started my art journey 😊. I've been sketching with graphite pencils, the ones I had laying around the home and am eagerly awaiting my first decent set. I've taken a liking to watercolour videos and this will be my next step definitely.
Hi Charles, another great demo, we met a couple of times at the NEC in Birmingham, I've got two of your paintings hanging on my wall and I have the wash brush you used on one of them, you got me interested in watercolour after watching the Tyne Tees TV series,, unfortunately, due to a medical condition I lost the sight in one eye so haven't painted for a while,,,,, thanks for all you do for us amateurs,,,,
Sorry to hear that, but you must still try and paint! I had a skin cancer taken out under my left eye, so had a patch covering that eye for a while, but still painted. Eventually they came right!
This is so cool. You make it look simple to paint. If it were mine well, it wouldn't look that pulled together..thanks for the entertainment and the beautiful watercolor. Lori NY..
Hi Charles, I have been watching your watercolor videos for 2 years and I have learnt a lot from you. My family and friends have seen the progress I'm making and that is credit to you. Thank you so much.
I am so happy when I see your tutorials pop up on u tube. Your style of painting and the landscapes you paint in watercolors inspired me to start painting. I have your book and will attempt this lovely painting. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
Another great painting/tutorial with good banta! I love how you do skies and foliage. A question though.... So a clean damp brush to pull out clouds, so when you use a clean damp brush to soften, how does it not pull out paint when you did the tree?
Really nice painting Charles. What is the size of the actual painting as this is something I struggle to get right... What size pad would you suggest. I know you use artist size sheets but which would you recommend A3, A4 or....? Cheers Regards Alan
Love your videos Charles, after watching your videos you got me back into painting a few years ago. I bought many of your products from your site and have never been disappointed. You’re very inspiring and supportive. Please 🙏🏻 don’t take offence at this, but your later videos, with the headset mic have really distorted audio. The microphone is too close to your mouth so when you speak a little louder it peaks into distortion and is difficult to listen to. Loved the painting as always. Thank you 👍😊
Apology for sounding ignorant, but when searching I could not find "Light red", are you using Windsor & Newton? Would love to add to my palet as I only have Alizaron crimson.
I am wondering why you don’t use a clean palette as opposed to your well used, and, very ,all colours intermingled, with hardly, any individual clean colour in sight? Yet your inspiring painting is not affected by this messy palette?
I love the banter between you two. It's wonderful when your husband or wife shares your work. Thanks for the demo Charles
I’m pleased you enjoyed it.
We always enjoy your tutorials. Your demos are the thing that got me into watercolour painting@@charlesevans7706
Wow! Beautiful painting. Your tutorials are always a joy to watch and have taught me a lot of techniques. Thank you.
I’m so pleased that you enjoy them.
"Just tickle it !" Loved the tutorial, great atmospheric sky. Your double act with Gail gets funnier.
Pleased you enjoyed it.
Really enjoyed this , I did struggle with the sky but did my own version in the end great tutorial 👍
Beautiful painting Charles. I love those clouds! Defo going to try this one. Big hugs 🫂
Enjoy. Xx
Yet another great water colour but could we have more Acrylics please?
How about a good Autumn landscape with lots of vibrant golds, reds and russets.

I hope you enjoy the book.
Love it when Charles demos a painting. Can’t wait to get the paints out after watching.
Thank you Charles and Gail
You’re very welcome.
Another fabulous one, Charlie --- I wanted to see Frank and Bert running about in the field though!
Ahahaha.
Always happy to see when you have a new video posted! Your brushes arrived yesterday and now i can‘t wait to try this out. 😃Gail does the best close up filming. Thank you both, i have learned so much! 👍😊🎨

Thank you so much. No, we had a place for feedback, but the usual scum inundated it with trash so we switched it off!
Some people eh ? Don't blame you I would too. Ha ha. cheers , have good day both. @sevans7706

Lovely lazy Sunday morning viewing, absolutely beautiful creation and you didn’t say “ simple”! Thank you Charlie x

You’re very welcome.
Surprised to see your video but a nice surprise . Thankyou for the fun and art 🥰
Hope you enjoyed it.

Confidence comes from thinking that it’s only a piece of paper. Just try it!
Always good..........! thanks....!
Thank you too.
Loved this, thank you, love your banter together, makes it an enjoyable light lesson. Love your "technical" terms too🖌😂
Thank you so much.
Absolutely adorable

Bellissimo 😃 il blu cobalto aquafine è straordinario... Buon tutto
It’s a good colour.
@@charlesevans7706 stupendo come sempre il suo acquerello un saluto
I don’t know how many Rs are in path, but there are at least three Fs. Thank you both for these demonstrations
Thank you!! Love the split brush effect - looks like fern or some kind of plant in the strokes!!
And the brushes will stand it too.
Really nice painting Charles. What is the size of the actual painting as this is something I struggle to get right... What size pad would you suggest. I know you use artist size sheets but which would you recommend A3, A4 or....?

If you have A3, turn it portrait way and you will have the right size!
Sensational, I would like to paint one percent of what you paint in your watercolors, congratulations.
Thank you very much.
wash out, squeeze out, and in my case, chuck it out!
Nooo!
Great! Thankyou both
You’re very welcome.

😊 thanks Charles and Gail one day going to have to try to paint.
You’re very welcome.
Thank you!
You’re very welcome.
Sand? ...interesting...I've never heard of that color...what brand is that?...or is that your own concoction?
It’s my own colour and it’s artists pigment.
@@charlesevans7706 thanks for replying I found it for sale on your website...thinK... I'll give it a go...Love your work.
Please tell me what colors do you mix to get the light red you are using?
It’s out of a tube, light red!
Apology for sounding ignorant, but when searching I could not find "Light red", are you using Windsor & Newton? Would love to add to my palet as I only have Alizaron crimson.
No, it’s Daler-Rowney, but light red is a standard colour. Have you looked on my website?
@@charlesevans7706 Hi. Yes I did have a look, and I apologize but importing to ZA is just to expensive, I will have to try and find this locally.
Thanks Charles
You’re very welcome.
I enjoy watching Charles Evans and pick up a lot of information, but isn't this watercolour? It says acrylic in the heading.
Oops, it will be sorted!
I am wondering why you don’t use a clean palette as opposed to your well used, and, very ,all colours intermingled, with hardly, any individual clean colour in sight? Yet your inspiring painting is not affected by this messy palette?
It’s just the way I’m used to working!
Meant to say for some paranoid reason I’m always wary of leaving white paper
Lovely painting charles my kind of stuff
Pleased you like it.
