Uh? Is he tho? Yes the game is about him and its called jedi fallen order but that doesn't make him jedi from the start. He was still in his jedi training if I remember the story. The game is a story about him completing his training and then becoming a jedi knight. I would have said a force sensitive rather than jedi.

O would say just episodes 1, 2 and 3 to know what 66 is...dont need to watch the original trilogy cuz this is supposed to happen 5 years after the Revenge of the Sith!!
As odd as it sounds, she should watch 4, 5 and 6, then 1, 2 and 3. For the simple fact that going from the prequels to the original trilogy... the lightsaber battles are ass in 4, 5 and 6.

cool first part, glad your looking around the world & noticing things like the ship wing being cut off and the dream sequence right away. bring on part 2, also, watch the movies! the clone wars and rebels animated series are also amazingly good

I can tell that you are actually having fun in this game which is great to see. I felt like in the Last Standing you weren't liking the game and not having fun which I don't want to see. I would rather you be enjoying the game because it makes a better video. And this is the best Star Wars game in a long time. Also in the future I would love to see a gameplay of the new Tomb Raider games. I have a feeling you would like that one.
I'm deeply invested in the SW universe and I just played this whole game in the last 7 days... It's really endearing to hear you going into this blindly, like "There's bounties out? That's interesting..." getting to discover the fallout of Order 66 first-hand, as Cal is about to rise from it... I mean, sometimes those types of questions could be frustrating but I look forward to watching you unravel this story from this new perspective. Keep doing you, Marz! Can't wait for more.
The Jedi where framed as traitors by the Emperor, who used the Clones under their command to wipe them out with a biochip that overwrite their loyalty to them.
Turning the Republic they served into the Empire. Cal was a Jedi in training (a Padawan) when it happened.

This is a really fun and engaging game, perfect for your style... One thing I've noticed besides your goofy humor is that you get really keen empathetic reads on characters you encounter, and your honest expressions and reactions and surprising focal points are so funny at times... I'm really glad I found this channel! (Spider-Man playthrough)

Watching or reading up on Episode III: Revenge of the Sith would be good for some background information on the status quo of the world as it stands in this game. (The game is set 5 years after the events of that movie)

what I like with this game is that you play with a character who is not (at least not yet) a powerful Jedi, Just an average Padawan who through pure grit and determination slowly get more and more proficient.

Marz, just reading a summery of the original trilogy and seeing the two newest movies is not enough to really understand whats going on. This story takes place in the Star Wars timeline between episode 3 and 4. Basically after the prequel trilogy and before the original trilogy.

At least give her credit for even reading anything & wanging to learn a little bit before even playing this game.
Knowing more about the story makes it more enjoyable and will make more sense to her.

Marz, just to give you a bit of timeline clarity, this takes place between Episodes 3 & 4. Empire is in full power, the Jedi have been slaughtered, and those that haven't are in hiding because they're being hunted down by the empire. They're being portrayed as traitors to the empire and enemies to the public. Cal is a Padewan, so an apprentice. Not fully trained as an ordained Jedi, but was in the process when it all went to hell. Basically this is what was happening in the scrolling text at the beginning of Episode 4 of the movies lol

Empire is the best out of them all.... Revenge of the Sith is the best if the prequels. However I do feel revenge of the Sith should he higher up in people's all time star Wars movie lists

Yep. Just means that another game shes in progress with will get sidelined. Almost feels pointless to become invested in watching another playthrough when she might be done with it after part 3. Great way to create a toxic fan base too with everyone arguing over which game she should carry on playing.

Incase your a little confused, in Star Wars lore there was this big event called “order 66”. This event was when emperor palpatine (Darth Vader’s master) issued an order among the clone troopers to kill all Jedi. The clone troopers were clones who were all alike and emperor palpatine embedded a chip into their brains to follow any order he gave them. The clone troopers were good guys and palpatine was secretly a sith that was working with the good guys. Once palpatine went full “dark side” he wanted to kill all jedi. He was partially successful as most jedi killed but only a handful had survived. The surviving Jedi are being hunted down by the empire. The main character cal is one of the surviving Jedi and has been hiding ever since until now. The game takes place 5 years after order 66.
When Marz looks too amazing that you end up watching her for 50 minutes instead🤷🏻♂️

Very cool set of clips, I remember watching the original films in the early 1990s on VHS Tape, I am playing through this game again . Disney Star Wars is so great and extremely acclaimed and Disney's vision will be for decades to come hopefully, fans owe so much to Disney for the vision they have laid out. I really like the Bracca opening, it is a raw, real world type of opening and true to Star Wars. See Star Wars should be a used future, much of what we see in it, is very like the real world, Star Wars is not super flashy and clean
You must watch all the movies! You can skip the two anthology films, they’re good in their own right they’re just not necessary, Those two are Rogue One and Solo. Just watch the episodic ones I-VIII, then of course see IX when it comes out. It’s such a good franchise the only one I don’t really like is Attack of the Clones

In regards to the “bounties” like you called it, Marz, it’s actually more menacing than that. The empire executed an order called Order 66, which was meant to eliminate all jedis in the galaxy, so, Cal was a kid in training when this happened and had to hide his powers since then or his life would be in danger.

This isn't a spoiler, but for timeline purposes this takes place after Revenge of the Sith (Movie 3) and before A New Hope (Episode 4, or "the original star wars" as its often known). Really an incredible game with a fantastic story. Its been forever since we had a worthy Star Wars game, Respawn did great work with this one.

The goofy thing about that slide into the ship at the end of the train is that it doesn't let you fail that jump. Even if you didn't do anything it would show the scene of Cal grabbing onto the ramp and then falling into the fight with The Second Sister.

Really like the story of this game. The inquisitors are so cool especially the 2nd sister. One of my favorite characters. The character of Cal is such a good actor and he seems pretty boring at first but really like him also.
