You don't have to wear the poncho. I took it off for the final level.
@@GedUK I know, but a significant portion of the game's loot is poncho colors. If you don't want to wear a poncho a good deal of chests are going to feel lackluster.
Shoulda definitely had more cosmetic customization in this game cuz it’s honestly meh
When Cal's Master told him "faster, more intensity", that was a George Lucas reference. It's his main direction to his actors.
and that's what made the lightsaber fights in the prequels much more interesting imo

I just now did it myself. It is the reason I'm here, I wanted to see if anyone else had as much trouble as I am lmao.
Best part of every playthrough lol
Once you realize that the Ogdo Bogdo cannot leave its cave that fight is pretty easy. Walk into the cave enough to get OB to run towards you, exit the cave, it will not leave the cave and turn and walk away, get a few hits in, exit the cave, repeat. This takes awhile but if you're fighting it on your first time to Bogano you probably are still getting the hang of everything and not ready for this boss battle yet.
I love when Marz goes into curiosity mode. "What's this?" "What's that?!" :D
The little rat-tail hair braid is something all Jedi padawans/apprentices have, Marz. When you finally become a Jedi Knight, the Jedi who is knighting you will typically slice that braid off as part of the ceremony.
I liked how when George Lucas told Genny Tartakovsky to just come up with something, they made up that idea on the spot since George didn't really think about what the Knighting ceremony was going to be like. The Old EU is so much better than the new canon which honestly couldn't exist without the EU.

42:26. REGARDING THE "RAT TAIL." Young Jedi in training are called Padawans. This is signified by their Padawan braid. When they achieve knighthood their braids are cut off.
I seriously recommend watching episode 3 while you play this game. The game is based on the fallout of the events that take place in the movie.

Explore to find yellow chests that increase the amount of healing stims BD-1 can carry. You can get up to 10.

Yep you're a Jedi now. This is now one of my favourite games of all time, stoked you're playing.
This game takes place 5 years after Order 66, which was shown in Episode 3. Darth Vader trained dark side Force users called Inquisitors of which the Second Sister is one.

@@StopReadingMyNameOrElse She'll probably warm up to him later. When a character is a bit gruff in the beginning and then lets their guard down later, I think that has more of an impact.
Something about him annoys me too, he does have some moments but I just dislike him xD

So exploration is pretty important in this, like From games exploration gets you more Stims, lightsaber upgrades and such, also many paths will be blocked until you unlock future force powers (like the wall run) which are unlocked through the story, so revisiting planets you can find some good upgrades you couldn’t access before, super keen to see you play this, it’s a game I was presently surprised by 😊

That was one of the bigger dissapointments in the game. I really thought that after getting all the abilities and skills there would be a way to reach it and have an epic boss fight but nope :(
@@IRurushu At first I was the same, I expected like an epic boss battle, but then I realized that creature is just minding his business living in peace, he never attacks you or something. I found it cool that he's just another creature in the world that you don't have to kill.

Watch and listen to BD-1. If he chirps or jumps off your shoulder he wants to scan something. He chirps after you kill something to remind you to scan it. You level faster and find your way around easier.
Between BD-1 and baby yoda, my heart's strings have been tugged by all of Star Wars ...
And yes, the game has metroidvania elements which means backtracking when you get more abilities. You'll be asked to go back to planets but even after youbwill have clean up if you go for completionism. Unfortunately you can only appreciate that cute big boy from afar.
I also can't wait to see your reaction at the end of the game.

Make sure to ALWAYS follow BD-1 when he jumps off your back ! He give hints to hidden pathways, items or force echos that will give you HUGE EXP. Anyways, I’m loving the Playthrough so far, it’s learning curve but you got this !
Marz. Not sure if anyone has commented yet on parry. On a successful Parry, you hit the button right before getting hit, kinda like Sekiro. You'll know you got a successful parry when you see the screen slow down slightly and the enemy will be out of stamina (red flashing bar over their heads) hit your attack button during this time for a riposte (follow up attack) that usually does much more damage than normal and kills easier enemies in one hit
You'll definitely want to explore a lot. Not only could you find ponchos and stuff for your lightsaber, but also more healing stims to increase the amount you can carry, which will REALLY help you.
45:25 Aww... You found a clever way to get down there (there will be other skills later to make traversing easier when you go back to the planets), and then it was just a force memory. "That's it?! That was it?" :'D
You can't go to the Binog(the big fish thing) unfortunately. It's just a cool background scene. Binogs are almost extinct. They live for thousands of years and breed only once.

I'm getting this game, after The Force Unleashed and its sequel released nearly a decade ago we finally have another decent Star Wars game that focuses on single player.
I'm older than my parents I agree, but I will say it’s more than decent if you ask me.
i still hope that disney make force unleashed 3 aready and tell that Galen Marek is once again canon, because he is my favorite character.

@@ViewfromtheVoid not exactly, the thing is, his original idea, is that the name of the protagonist would be anakin star killer, and that he woul be an old general.
later on, he changed the name for luke skywalker (and gave the name anakin to the father of the protagonist, and made him be the great general) as for luke, would now be just a teen (young adult) and gave him a master (obiwan kenobi)
this is one of the many changes he made, like, han was supose to be an alien, vader armor looked way more like a samurai armor, and the stormstroopers armor's was way more "spacelike"

For anyone who's seen Rebels, you'll notice that theres a mural on the Vault wall that exactly mimics the mural of the Father, the Brother, and the Sister. Kinda cool that the Zeffo also encountered these mythical beings too
I have seen it and when I saw that mural I was like "NOPE I'm out" 🤣
Sense Echoes are collectibles that give you insight into the world. Discovering them also gives you XP.
So as you progress in the game you will get new abilities that will let get where you in the game that are hard to reach and you will be able to go back to planets if need be to explore some more or stay on task with the missions. Also keep in mind your rest points are key even though your enemies will respawn but its better to rest at those points than to waste your stems.
45:29 That was a very inventive way to get to the sense echo there. I didn't know you could drop down from the meditation point and collect that.

This is so much like Tomb Raider (2013), a perfect game and Star Wars experience. Cal made a mistake destroying the holocron, they should have collected the children and returned them to Bogano to outlast the Galactic Empire

I always appreciated your honesty and your courage to talk about your own little blemishes and so on... But when you stated that you didnt know about Order 66 that was on a whole new level.
The only thing i'm dissapointed in, is the lack of an urban planet. We could have Coruscant, or Corelia. They mentioned Nar Shadaa, so that would have been a cool planet. I just wanted a cantina/casino mission. That's Star Wars for me!
I'd say Manaan might be an interesting place to explore, but then again in KoTOR it was a nightmare. I wouldn't be able to handle the PTSD I got from my brief stint as a lawyer
Cal is a fugitive and the Empire is after him. He's not going to an urban planet with lots of people around where he could easily be identified and reported to the Empire.

Unfortunately you cant interact with the big guy you saw. You can only view from a distance
All light saber stuff is just customization, but there’s lots of it lol. BD 1’s color will change depending on ur life. He will turn from green to red if u life is low. I love the lil details, I’m such a Star Wars nerd lol

I recommend going to Dathomir first. You can't progress very far immediately, but you'll get an upgrade for a double-bladed lightsaber.
Like she says, going to Dathomir at this point of the game is a bad idea. You're not supposed to go there until later in the game, and the enemies you find there are very difficult at this point of the game.
If you want a double-lightsaber it's better to go to Zepho, then go back to Bogano (now that you have Force Push) and you can get it there in one of the new areas you can now access.
I started playing the game again after a long while to continue the story. I am close to the end now I think and have again much fun.

You might wanna see SW episode 4-5-6 to completely embrace the final surprise...
Not about that big creature specifically, but this is Metroidvania style. You'll keep unlocking abilities that let you reach new areas. The game will sometimes force you to backtrack, and re-visit planets, other times it's optional. If you see a place that seems inaccessible, just keep it in mind for later. You might not have the ability to reach it yet.

@Marz I recommend you go to dathomir before zeffo if you're in to exploration. Hint: Goodies for your lightsaber on dathomir.
According to the story you're not supposed to go to Dathomir until much later in the game. She is right when she says that the enemies encountered there will be very difficult for you at this point of the game.
We all know why you're telling her to go there now - appreciate you not spoiling her. But you can get this same *thing* by returning to Bogano after you get Force Push.

5:14 I did make that choice too Thinking Cal would want little bit relaxed look after his career as scrapper ended. 42:25 rat hair is for Padawans but dont rememember where I know that. 49:42 I didn t find all things maybe when I play this game couple times more and get bored of the story. then I will do a little exploring. 1:08:00 maybe jedi thing if you want it to be rapier I dunno readed novel 10 years back and they actually call it lighter. Yours is heavier But probably good because Cal has been scrapper Good name for BD-1 in the ending looks giant ant.
best piece of advice on this game is it's SO much more about parrying than dodging. try to parry literally everything unless they flash red! it is much easier and makes the gameplay so much more fun bc they give you a lot of fun kill animations coming off a parry

I know she isn't the biggest Star Wars fan but when she said that Cordova's emitter (which resembles Obi-Wan's a lot), made the lightsaber look like a lamp... it kinda hurt.
BD-1 lays out a clear path forward and indicates for you to follow him..... MARZ immediately turns the other way questions herself into confusion and walks off a cliff lol.

Any attack that is not red can be parried. This is an essential skill to learn. Three parties and you can kill an oggdo without losing any health

A lot of areas you need new abilities to get to, so you will have to come back. The map is really useful in figuring out where you can go.
You can view abilities before you purchase them. I only say this because a lot of the RUclips I watch miss that part. I'm writing this 5 mins into the video, so you might not need this info.

Love that ur playing star wars. Maybe you'll get into all the movies and other canon because of the game. Just one thing I need to mention tho is that the audio is definitely out of sync. Other than that flawless, keep it up.
