The environmentalists trying to pollute our atmosphere by burning tons of oil and building bombs to destroy infrastructure that powers this website. How bout we dont promote domestic terrorism against the safest form of oil transportation that we have until wind and solar become more reliable to use. Hell wind turbines require massive amounts of oil to maintain and operate, plus they kill birds regularly.
The people with the bomb are definitely causing property damage, that's what bombs do. Somehow people think of they feel justified it excuses their actions. You know like the Spanish inquisition or the Nazis.
1 year old! Some will see it as terrorism, violence, vandalism but these people see it as self defense and justifiable This film has underlying themes of using social justice, air pollution, and combating climate change to fight the giant corporations The movie is full of unknowns, the only person I know is Sasha Lane We are also given flashbacks to how these people came together with each form of baggage giving them motivation Their anger is definitely palpable given their generation has been betrayed by ignorance How long does an issue go unnoticed before it (literally) blows up in your face? It's unbelievable the pipelines cut right into peoples property not just the indigenous populations and are forced to relocate The movie is more about the buildup of the attack on the oil refinery rather than getting into the deep, political debates Not a traditional narrative but will hit so many buttons Plus it feels rather timely too given the recent events of the new green deal being passed as a rally to call to action
Now that would be a interesting movie…to bad the story is still going on. China is doing some saber rattling off Taiwan and NATO has become a super power. What could possibly go wrong. 😂

Probably gave them a seal of approval as the FBI wants crap like this to happen for martial law. Also the more dangerous options of transporting oil via train, truck, and ship lines our politicians pockets.
How blowing up pipelines will help to improve the environment? Do they also plan to clean up after successful detonation the environmental pollution? And why are they not on bicycles? A bunch of demagogues.
This reminds me of the guy who decide to commit an act of "ecological justice." He burned down two lumber yards (over $2 Million in damage) then spent a considerable amount of time a guest of the Federal Government.
@James Tully it's gonna be worth it watching all the climate crusaders starve to death. They want to ban farms to save the earth, I guess they think food gets to the store from magic.
@B E soooooo more trees can be cut down in its place. Ooook if you say so. If there is a demand for wood and the lumber is burned they will just jack the price up and just log more lmfao. Also they will have insurance. So the only thing that would be hurt in the end is nature.
Well… the movie is a indie micro budget film. There’s no official number of the exact budget. To be categorized as micro budget. It’s less than $50,000. So, the film in only 3 weeks has earned at least 12x its budget. That is quite a profit. Do some research before you talk bro
I loved the book. Was surprised yesterday to find out it was getting adapted into a movie. I hope the film is effective in helping us move towards the clean energy transition as soon as possible.
As a Natural Gas company employee I don’t think people realize how sick and twisted it is that this movie is being glorified - or at the very least portrayed in a positive way.. damaging a pipeline and causing a release or spill is potentially WAY more hazardous to people, animals and the earth than greenhouse gasses ever could be. Regardless of the intention there’s no excuse for eco-terrorism, especially not a movie bringing these ideas out in to the public eye. I really hope the movie plays out in a different way than how I saw it in the trailer.. it’s borderline dangerous and irresponsible to give people a blueprint (filled with false information as well) on how to become a domestic terrorist
@@Josh-fz9rh It’s about 100 pages that seeks to prove that radical environmental activism is necessary to stop the climate catastrophe. The whole point of the movie is to bring these ideas out into the public eye. Even if you disagree 100% with the idea that terrorism can be justified, I’d encourage you to check out the book the next time you visit a library. It’s absorbing reading. By the way, did you know that the US itself has intentionally blown up pipelines?

Without making any judgment as to the artistic merits of the film, I wonder how many people who support the idea of ecoterrorism truly understand or appreciate just how much of modern life is based on fossil fuel and how totally inadequate so-called "renewable" energy is as a replacement.

Does anybody know the name of the movie about a city/town that is going to be fracked or build a pipeline and climate/oil activist set up camp in said location. People who think pipelines are the problem and blowing one up is noble are naive idiots. In reality blowing up pipelines hurts regular people, you aren't saving the planet, you are ensuring thousands of countless diesel big rigs are back on the road 24/7 to deliver the same stuff to the same destinations that went through the clean and emission free pipelines. In return, energy prices go up, inflation worsens, green energy manufacturing and research is held back, EVs get even more expensive and further out of reach to the average person, and oil companies get richer and richer. who is really causing the “property damage”
Great point honestly.
Maybe the domestic terrorists bombing a tax paid government pipeline that provides gas to your car as well as the trucks that ship your food.
@@Noah-pr2or couldn't possibly be the oil funded politicians and and execs that are moving our world full speed towards total environmental collapse
The people with the bomb are definitely causing property damage, that's what bombs do. Somehow people think of they feel justified it excuses their actions. You know like the Spanish inquisition or the Nazis.

Some will see it as terrorism, violence, vandalism but these people see it as self defense and justifiable
This film has underlying themes of using social justice, air pollution, and combating climate change to fight the giant corporations
The movie is full of unknowns, the only person I know is Sasha Lane
We are also given flashbacks to how these people came together with each form of baggage giving them motivation
Their anger is definitely palpable given their generation has been betrayed by ignorance
How long does an issue go unnoticed before it (literally) blows up in your face?
It's unbelievable the pipelines cut right into peoples property not just the indigenous populations and are forced to relocate
The movie is more about the buildup of the attack on the oil refinery rather than getting into the deep, political debates
Not a traditional narrative but will hit so many buttons
Plus it feels rather timely too given the recent events of the new green deal being passed as a rally to call to action
Dang I thought this was going to be about the US blowing the Nordstream pipeline! Slightly disappointed not gonna lie.
Now that would be a interesting movie…to bad the story is still going on. China is doing some saber rattling off Taiwan and NATO has become a super power. What could possibly go wrong. 😂

Well… the movie is a indie micro budget film. There’s no official number of the exact budget. To be categorized as micro budget. It’s less than $50,000. So, the film in only 3 weeks has earned at least 12x its budget. That is quite a profit. Do some research before you talk bro

Vandalism/terrorism have been a part of other necessary movements before, even though these elements are often downplayed in historical narratives that we’re taught in school. Even if you disagree 100% with the idea that terrorism can be justified, I’d encourage you to check out the book the next time you visit a library. It’s absorbing reading.
By the way, did you know that the US itself has intentionally blown up pipelines?

likely because you don't have the maturity to discern the damage said glorification can engender. Immature audience members get motivated without a full realization of the consequences for their actions. More informed and mature 'grown adults' who recognize the danger of such imagery find its glorification disturbing.

Many people really not realise how important oil is to our society. It is in most products out there. Petrochemicals are everywhere. Paint, plastics and even camera film.
Without making any judgment as to the artistic merits of the film, I wonder how many people who support the idea of ecoterrorism truly understand or appreciate just how much of modern life is based on fossil fuel and how totally inadequate so-called "renewable" energy is as a replacement.
I hate to break it to you but realizing the utter reliance on fossil fuels by society and recognizing the existential and terrible costs and consequences of such a thing is usually why people become ecoterroists lol

@@greenorion6501 Wind Mills and Solar Panels come from a fairy in the sky.......that is your way of thinking.
Just because modern society benefits from fossil fuels does not mean it is justified in exacting the cost of using those sources of energy. Violence begets violence. Written, directed by, produced by the FBI.
It should be called "How to Commit an Act of Domestic Terrorism".
Fitting title and in line with what the author talks about.
The damage will be repaired in a couple of months. The prison terms will be several orders of magnitude more severe. Talk about a poor risk-reward ratio. But they're just young, stupid kids.
Does anybody know the name of the movie about a city/town that is going to be fracked or build a pipeline and climate/oil activist set up camp in said location. But at the end it turns out the leader of this group is actually on the payroll and secretly working for big oil. It came out in 2010’s. I remember it was pretty sobering to see back then and it was a semi big Hollywood movie and release. I remember thinking that was exactly what these big oil
Companies were doing. Turns out they actually were/are. They secretly have thousands of fake activist groups around the nation and currently lobby 1500+ legitimate activist leaders.
Promised Land (2012) starring Matt Damon
@@cssstylescommand4 thank you! The reason I was trying to remember it is because the news published a story about these huge corps doing exactly this. That they own thousands of environmental groups across the nation and pay off thousands of environmental activist too. They own everything even the outcome.
"Green" energy is not yet a viable complete replacement for our energy needs.
Thats woke for ya lol
America's water is different, ppl crazy af there
Bro read a single book. Everyone knows increasing access to a resource increases demand to a resource.
Saying there are no green energy alternatives to fossil fuels just means that there is no place for our current society. And that's correct.
You're right but that's not going to appeal to the simpleton environmental activists.
Most of that is probably true but you're either a liberal or a libertarian gasbag so no one should listen to anything you have to say.
