I am a first generation American from a Polish family. My parents (separately) managed to flee from oppressive Communist Poland at the time in the 70s. My dad attended to Cooper Union and became an architect. And in the late 70s, early 80s he was hired and help build Trump Tower (he told me he was never really paid well by DT and he had his builders threaten over and over again to be deported back to Poland (which was during the Solidarity period) for being too slow or not doing a good job). My dad died in 2010 from cancer and he never knew that he helped build a skyscraper for a future president. This film feels too personal for me to watch - the immigrant/exiled life in America.
