I think klopp is underrated as a manager. He has managed to keep Guardiola nervous regardless of what teams they were managing. The only difference between them is where they started: Guardiola starting with easily one of the best Barcelona squads in history, let alone all of soccer. They won the first treble in history. Meanwhile klopp started with mainz. But he worked hard and was the best manager he could be. Fast forward to the present and now it seems that klopp’s liverpool monster is advancing to the semi’s of the UEFA Champions League beating out Guardiola’s machine of Manchester city. It doesn’t matter where they started, it only matters how far you are willing to go.
But this time he rotates well. if you go check minutes played for premier league, liverpool has no players in top 50 or so and only 2 in top 100 in minutes played (Salah and FIrmino). Other top teams(city for example) have their whole teams in there, but luckily Klopp built his squad, brought youngsters and bought not just stars, but role players too, and we can see the results now. End of the season and they are going strong and everyone is well rested for each game. Next season should be even better(Keita and possible other new faces). Even more quality and more options for rotation means they should have more consistent performances and even higher intensity.

Man it's actually really hard for City to turn this back, they can score a lot of goals but Liverpool will also do the same, one away goal from Liverpool which I feel is quite guaranteed at this stage considering their performance against City and Manchester are toasted. The only way I could see them turn this back is some Kun Aguero black magic.

Of course, every body knows that Liverpool have too many problems in defense and leadership of the squad. After Gerrard is gone, suddenly there is no efficient leader. Henderson is trying his best, but I think he is not doing good in his position as a center field. He is loosing some balls easily, often can't stop balls from flowing into his defense, and not being unstable and firm midfielder. Perhaps because of his many injuries, or is that he's not comfortable with his position. However, the team got better in this critical moments at the end of season, and that's good news to any Reds fan.
Faisal Kareem I think they should make Van Dijk their captain. He has amazing leadership qualities. He's also been made Netherlands captain recently and he is one of the best CBs.
It's one of the best signing by Liverpool. People were mocking at their defense earlier this season and after Van came it has been revolutionized. Keeping a clean sheet is fine but they didn't let City have even a shot on target. That's some class. Hats off. I am a madrid fan and unlike others i never feared city if they draw against madrid as i always knew that city does not have quality to win UCL and they'll crack under pressure unlike liverpool who have CL experience than any other English team.

Guardiola has the same problem over the years in champions league, but he wont quit with his philosophy, not even for one game. He tried to exploit Liverpool's right side and isolate Sane to make situation 1 on 1 with Arnold, but Sane was awful. What formation board and softwares do u use for analysis ?

There was a 15-20 minute period in this game where city couldn’t even get the ball past the center circle, the most impressive display of counter pressing I’ve seen in years.
This game was a so obvious domination by Liverpool that I would even be able to analyse this match without any problem. "We only saw one team on the pitch" End of the analysis.
So what will next match, second leg or madrid derby. As a madrid fan I wanted a zidane vs guardiola battle. I wanted to compare individual qualities of players and tactics of managers. But unfortunately city are just out of CL.
Some people said that Salah wasn't really injured, they say that he pretended to injured because at that time was almost Isya and he haven't shalat Maghrib yet😅 idk that's what they say
TBH the point of Champions League is to see different styles and philosophies against each other, kinda disappointing if this year's city will go down against an English team, I would've liked to see it try to take on Real or Barca. But credit to Klopp.
I think guardiola messed up quiet badly. By playing laporte he just lost an advantage. he could have played with 3-5-2 with laporte in the cb position with 0 fullback work and start with 5 midfielders in the form of walker Rw, D.Silva Cm, Gundugan and Fernandinho as Double pivot and sane on Lw . With de bryune as A attacker who will be behind jesus. Just as the same formation they won against liverpool in the first match etween them . We will see what the 2nd leg will have to offer. Great one piotr. I am happy to discuss with u guys on the aforementioned formation i gave.

Guardiola simply doesn't understand that domination doesn't always win you the match. If you try to keep possession with short build up play, you're just giving into Liverpool's game. On the home game, City needs to either park the bus and try to go on counters, or physically press Liverpool the same way they do. Or maybe, stop the 3 men in the back with no fullbacks nonsense and play some classical football to throw Klopp off?
Inverted fullbacks don't change anything, it's just depends on who you want to be in midfield And I don't think Guardiola wants his fullbacks to be in midfield and his midfielders on the wings against Liverpool

Well, I realize the players was too much close to each other, and I watch that game where Guardiola's playing with 3-5-2 against Liverpool on beginning of season, and the build up was so good, and they just break the waves of pressure, so why Guardiola don't play the build up like that?

Until he wins a champions league with Man City he will not be considered better than Jose mourinho
