Nice tutorial! I love GIMP, but for managing text and effects(editing, chaging between fonts, strokes, ligthings nd stuff) I still find it really frustrating, boxy and limitating for someone coming from Photoshop like me. Anyway, your tutorial was great!

5:05 When i try to move the text,using the move tool, it allways moves the background and NOT the text, no matter what layer i choose on the right side... anyone !!?

Hi! I’m a new Gimp user. I have used Photoshop since 2004 and because my old license expired I started using Gimp. Everyting is understantable but I’m having problems with creating text. When I select the text tool and drag a box that box immediately dissapears. Can you help me? Love your Gimp 2022 tutorials.

I can't edit because there is no text box.
