This song also brings back memories of the last 3-4 years of my marriage falling apart right before the divorce I just went through. I can, in a sense, I can relate to him and his heartbreak.

It's sad because in the making of this dong in an interview he didn't truly want to relive these scars but he had to because the the song is number one. I believe that he is saying that everyone of us has scars and some how we all need to talk about it even if it hurts true true ❤
I was in a relationship and it went south at the time you wrote it . It sure fit me And what I was going through! The relationship is some better now but for one person I don’t know how long it will last.

I feel for Sully. I'm currently going through something similar. My wife decided she was going to leave me at the end of August. She moved out and I thought she was leaving for good. She made it seems like it was a misunderstanding. At the beginning of January I dont know what I did but she stopped talking to me. Found out a few weeks later found out from a friend she thought we were done. Still haven't heard from her. I'm really devastated. This song reminds me of the pain and makes me cry.

Thank you but unfortunately I'm not getting any younger and was 47 when I married her. The end of June I will be 55 so not sure about finding someone who will love me unconditonally. But appreciate the encouragement.

I had the same thing happened to me and I've been single for 7 years . I hurt everyday.
