As a grown man former soldier and former Police officer/Corrections officer but also music nerd and musician myself, im not ashamed to say watching this video from the first to the ten thousandth time now it truly honest to god brings tears to my eyes watching such a diverse group.come together with the same passion and make music and love they journey and the art that it brings!!Godsmack has always been always will be the band i hold closest to my heart through every trying time i ever had.. Overseas all through that being away from family and friends and the freedoms of home, i always kept this band in my headphones as they always to me represented best what we stand for and fought or fight for from this great country.... Honest to God being the caring such awesome people all those guys seem to be it truly didnt surprise me that they were the Band that could put something like that together and touch so many young people with an experience they will likely carry dear with them for the rest of their lives! My 3 year old son has been raised and can sing every word to every Godsmack song ever made. That is what this Band means to me and my household! This video genuinely moved me the first time i watched and every time since... Watching music bring people so diverse together is truly a beautiful thing and no surprise this band is one that did it.. God bless you guys and thank you for always caring more about the fans you touch than the industry and what it brings with it as you all have always stayed true to your kind souls! God bless and thank you!!!
Your words may be why I have seen them live 31 times, and counting.....
I'm sitting right beside you...
It makes me cry every time!
Sully doesn't believe in God he is Wiccan
That actually surprised me 🤔
I've been a fan from get.. I also relate to all of their songs in one way or another.
This is the ONLY band that I really like AlLL of their music and words ..❤
I recently found out that his religion is Wiccan because he did an interview a couple year's ago about metal music and the devil, he said in his Wiccan beliefs there is no devil because then there would HAVE to be a God..So he doesn't believe in either. It's more like this, the "good" hearted person puts out Love, understanding and kindness and therefore receives it back 3x (vise versa for bad) respect our planet ect.(some have different versions) I'm Irish and my ancestors believed in that as well (and the rest of them were Catholics)
I still love the music and will always be a fan..I didn't get to see them live last year. I'm disabled, the venue was 4 hours away and the tickets were expensive (that's something that truly sucked for me)..I'm the 80's Rocker Chick..😎🤘🤎
I DID however get to see Disturbed , Bad Wolves, and FFDP (the lead singer of Bad Wolves his back story has an incredible truth about his brother) He even has written a song about it, which must have been hard.💔
Last, but definitely not least is 3DG and WOW. Matt does a great job with the Original Adam songs. I was extremely impressed and pleasantly surprised 👍❤ *I also have an amazing support system who helped me with $$$ to be able to go* Each venue whom ALL allowed me to be in the PIT with my son and sister (I would have had to sit alone) let me into the PIT area with my weelchair, my 13 yr old son & my awesome sister 👍❤ I had a handicap area seat and they had PIT because I would have NEVER thought they'd allow me in the pit because of my wheelchair. It definitely was extremely super cool of them 3DG actually were very helpful and also helped to make that happen 😎
When Godsmack came to IL they didn't come anywhere near me. They played in Moline IL ( I would have had to get a hotel and the tickets were super expensive..😒💔) hopefully they will come back to IL and play at Tinley Park, Allstate arena or Peoria Civic Center..
It's still far. I'd have to leave 1 day before and stay with my sister ( Which I did for the othert concerts but the tickets were reasonably priced and my sister lives near the venue) If it's Peoria it's only 2 hours away (hint, hint 😉) To ALL of my fellow brothers and sisters out there be safe, stay healthy. God bless ❤
HELP each other out during this pandemic and trying times..****.especially our elderly, disabled, and youngsters in our neighborhoods and you can do that safely.
🤘💚🤍🧡
Lee Judy music always look at you wow.
Lee Judy when under your scars. I was just. Cried. I think everyone has. But lays listen to music. These are been thru the sme feelings. But they to everyone about it. Reach for the stars. Always.
This is exactly why me and my wife weirdly fell in love at our first concert together which was godsmack , and next week we are going across the country to Las Vegas to the vibes tour to celebrate part of our honeymoon with them 🤗
Congratulations for you and your wife! I admire your candidness about your love for each other and you aren't ashamed to let the world know it. Hope you both have the time of your lives, again!
MY SON WAS PART OF THIS VIDEO WITH HIS SCHOOL AND I AM A PROUD MOM!!! WHAT AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE FOR A KID!!!
Has he shared with you his personal feelings about this interaction? Would be awesome to hear a personal take, I hope he did!
WOW! HOW AMAZING IT MUST HAVE BEEN FOR HIM! DEFINITELY AN EXPERIENCE HE WILL NEVER FORGET! VERY COOL! ♥️
Congrats!
AWESOME🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
That must have been an epic story
Godsmack literally took School Of Rock, and multiplied it by a lot, the kids and the band absolutely rocked this song! Soooo much respect for the band for doing this, and so much respect for kids involved!
School of Rock was the first thing that popped into my mind too.
And for the liberal pos education system for allowing them into the school.
@@ShenStatedo you also scare 5 year olds and claim reserved parking spots too? Fun guy you are 🙄🤢
Because Godsmack is AWESOME 😎!!!
Wonder if Jack saw this..
As a former teacher, I have to say that there aren't enough Likes in existence to capture just how great of a thing this is.
Well said. Couldn't agree more.
And why would anyone dislike it or bother to give it a thumbs down??? Haters gonna hate.
As a former teacher too, agreed with you
As a student once apon a time you guys are the best. 💯. Not better than Sully but very very close. 🎸🎶🤘
Every band should do this at least once with some school. I believe these kids will remember this event rest of their life and probably many life has been changed for better...
My granddaughter is part of this video. Something she will always remember and smile about. One day she will tell her grandchildren about this unforgettable experience !! Thank you so much for the memories, Godsmack !! :)
She's part of music history now Like a BOSS
Yes, she will tell them that there was once a time when people actually played individual instruments to produce sound. lol
THAT is awesome! What a great memory she'll always have
This comment made me cry.
Your granddaughter is so lucky! I had the privilege of hanging out with the guys a few times as we have mutual friends and they are amazing people. So real.
I was lucky enough to drum in this video and it was an incredible experience! Thank you Godsmack!
I would have loved to see that live. An incredible experience and I'm so happy for you! I've watched it 10 times just this morning. I've always been a Godsmack fan and this puts it over the top. Keep rocking brother!
Simply AWESOME!
What an incredible video, the drumming blew my mind. You guys had a great time, I'm wondering how long this project took???
an amazing experience for sure
That's awesome!
I'm 34 and grew up listening to Godsmack. I sincerely hope Sully and the band understand how incredible of a moment that was to all of those kids. Music is the best communicator and connector. This is so beautiful. Tears and chills seeing so many young people together and enjoying themselves.
Обычная зомби-толпа
I think Sully is a pretty special kind of person. Talent and depth that surprises me every time I find a new level.
When you see a Band working with Kids you know Their a Great Band.Love this
I'm a 52 year old man, and as I sit here and watch this video, it gives me hope for our younger generation, and that hope is because of folks like the band...Godsmack, thank you.
This made me cry. Think of all of those kids that might have been bullied, thinking about suicide, had a lie self-esteem, didn't believe in themselves, were shy, didn't think they belonged, was always left out of things and the list goes on. For a band to take the time to do this is so selfless and giving of themselves with nothing in return. All I can say is WOW
You are ABSOLUTELY 💯RIGHT!
So much power in song
... and we're looking at these children in this video and thinking: "Ha! Wow! They've got the STRENGTH!"
Fact!
Yes! And I would be willing to bet each of those guys told the kids something along the lines of "if you find yourself somewhere dark, reach out to me", because you don't do this for kids without feeling that deeply about them
This is so badass. This shows that Godsmack cares about the next generation of music and to let kids express themselves through music.
its about loving the human next to you ………. music is just the vehicle... #GODSMACKWINS
i don't know history of each Godsmack player. i don't know to, cause they're entertaining... but... that much hurting 'but'. in Poland we have few of 'grading' tatoos in prisons, that can be seen on some of the 'spiecialities', so i don't see this thing like a thing for commercials. they're doing this for community. and doing it right (;
Why does this song give me shivers.? Is it the baseline, the drum beats??? No, it's the fact that so many kids are being given the opportunity to be something more than what they are. I wish more kids were given this same opportunity. Thank you, GODSMACK.!!!
GODSMACK's Art, Style, Message, Sully's Voice Are Unforgettable
The way you can reach out and touch people with music is incredible. It has a way of bringing people together like nothing else.
How could anyone dislike this video? Every hair on my arm stood up. Teaching the next generation real rock and how to play instruments and sing for years to come. So inspiring. Thank you Godsmack!
Yeah no kidding. I get goosebumps when i hear this song.
What this band did with those kids is absolutely bad ass
Not only that but writing an amazing song in the process! This hit #1 on the U.S. Main rock charts.🤘🔥
Exactly
Exactly, I don't understand those 961 clowns. God Bless Godsmack for that wonderful Project.
A gift they will Never forget.
OMG!!! What you did for these kids was UNFORGETTABLE!! ... You set their souls ablaze!! What a gift!! ...... Awesome guys!!
Godsmack teaches an entire generation what good music is.
no jake paul does
No, music has been doing that for generations. Taste is taste. All music, no matter the genre, has the effect no other source has.
They haven't been good Since 2003. Stfu
@@buzzn74 But how many times has that happened with rock bands?
As a 30 year old... if you would had told 12 yr old me that Godsmack would help solve the world... I would had been like wwhhhaaaaattt?
The year 2020 must be a little weird
Brought tears to my eyes.
So many schools want to remove music but we can not allow that.
This is absolutely beautiful. I have a new-found respect for Godsmack with this. Thank you for this gift.
Absolutely what America needs right now, Positive and should show everyone the fire and passion in people...
I have watched this video over and over. The memories these students have will be carried with them the rest of their life. While I have respected Godsmack over the years this video takes my level of interest and respect to a completely different level. We need more bands to have this level of involvement in our youth.
Thank you, as the lyrical writer for Godsmack, this was an idea I came up with on my own to attempt to solve the problem that British royalty had successfully sabotaged American musical culture in the 1950s and to try to bring people and families publicly together into the heart of enjoying thought provoking hour long symphonies once again.
I usually keep my true identity hidden as I'm frequently a single girl lyricist writing for all guy rock bands. ::blush::
@@michellelambert6703that's so awesome!!! Music has been a huge part of my own life, ( I was lead guitarist of a band called immortal malice for 13 years,) and I did my best to pass that on to my children. My oldest especially took that ball and ran with it, playing multiple instruments, being in multiple school honors bands, and rising to drum major of her high school marching band. Next fall she'll join the marching band and the music program at the University of Nebraska.
Seeing this brought tears to my eyes.
Having met Sully way back in 2001, at Rockfest in Council Bluffs, Iowa, I know what a great guy he is. He stood there and talked to me for a good half hour like we were old friends, and became a huge inspiration for my own musical career, such that it was. I can only imagine what an experience this was for these kids. Something they'll remember for the rest of their lives.
There needs to be so much more of this in the world. Thank you.
Yes to all of that
“Music is the reason l’m not lonley most days.” I felt that.
Yeah. It shows us there are others in this world who feel what we feel and understand.
You’re not alone. There are hundreds of us listening to this same song on RUclips at the same time as you are and we are all jamming out together
Being lonely isn't that bad. The first 20 years are the worst but after that you get used to it and just stop caring. Been there, done that. One unforeseen benefit was that I've seen strong people snap during COVID lockdowns while it was just "business as usual" for me.
music was all i had when i was younger. i never would have survived without it.
@@JC130676 Well, i am in there just now...but how do you get through? I am literally getting more and more depressive...
This is why Godsmack is one of the most likeable bands of the last 25 years.
At the age of 41, Godsmack made me regain my love for rock music, which has been dormant for 20 years or so. Pretty awesome stuff :)
No.
And the music is so good! In every way. Musically, lyrically and in character. It’s heavy but not slipknot or metalcore heavy that it’s overbearing to some people. But it’s not your dads buttrock or wanna be tough guy rock either. It’s a good balance.
That experience of drumming with Godsmack and being in their music video will be one of the highlights of your life!! I hope you go far and never stop reaching for the next opportunity to come your way!!
Godsmack sucks
This is why Godsmack is one of the best bands out there. The music. The moment these kids get to witness and participate in. All of it. Unforgettable. Sully, you and the band are the best. Thank you for sharing this experience on film and teaching a new generation about music.
Some bands make a difference and Godsmack is one of them. Total legends
The boy at 3:50 is putting everything he has into his drum, I get tears & a huge smile every time :) What's truly unforgettable is this experience for all of these kids...love it!
Our son was able to participate in a strings program in school & he's been playing his cello since then...he's 20 now ☺
I said the same thing! That boy is throwing his whole soul into those drums. It's awe inspiring to know this band is helping kids like this.
@@tracyandrews5477 3:42 and a little bit earlier as well if you look for the same kid (bottom left) he's still got that same energy and power, this kid puts more passion into drumming than most people put into anything.
IT IS SOO AWESOME!!!
He is going places in rock.
And just like that, Godsmack has gained respect and admiration from a younger generation. It wasn't just seeing how much fun those kids were having - it was seeing them FEEL the music. What an unforgettable experience!!!
Amen
Well said
⁹us
This video took me back to when I was those kids' age, when music was the only thing I had. I've never really been a fan of Godsmack, but they earned some serious respect from me for this video
Godsmack probably saved a kid's life that day by giving them hope... A million thumbs up to the band for doing this
I agree 100000%!! At least one of those kids heard "you're valued & you matter" for the first time because of this. And I would be willing to bet they told these kids "if you find yourself somewhere dark, reach out to me" because you don't care this deeply for these kids and this passionate about your gift to just walk away.
I will always pray for this. I’m not religious, but I know this is what all gods want.
I still watch the video and cry every time seeing these kids have the time of their lives. No matter what language you speak music is one language we all can understand. When the kid says music is the reason I am not lonely most days I can hear it in his voice. Still great full to SNHU for allowing them to film this video on their facility.
THIS IS WHY GODSMACK
IS UNFORGETTABLE..
Damn straight😎😋🍋😆🤔🏝🤗
MAJIN R this is badass and GodSmack is awesome
You damned right, my next GS concert, will be #31 since 1999. None of these kids weren't even born yet. Music is definitely universal...,...
Mind blowing
I've NEVER been to a GODSMACK concert..I would love to. But things been complicated due to a disability..
But I will say one thing for sure. I've been with them since the beginning..
@@MajinMotorZ I'm disabled and I've been to over 20 Smack concerts. It's worth the hassle of people. Everyone is on the same team. You'll be fine. Do it!
i was in it, at 3:40, and i’m so thankful for this experience as a singer sully!!
Bana Berhane you were in most of it! Lol
Manuel Rodriguez it’s crazyyyy! lol
Awesome as hell girl. I’d kill to get that experience 😂
You were definitely one of the standouts.
Lucky you will remember that for life
What i do appreciate is people in bands like godsmack who put their extra time to ppl and give them high hopes in making music. Its all not about shaking hands with the devil, banging strippers, doing blow, driving nice rides, and owning big houses. To me music keeps us going whether we are having a good day or bad because it keeps us all focused for the better. To the times at bars with your friends or moshing out at a concert showing support, to me thats what real people who give a damn about other people who are musicians and teach other people to have a gift like godsmack does. Keep it up godsmack!
"music takes us where words cannot" this song is the epitomy of that
The look of joy and how much fun they are having is contagious. This is what music should be about, good fun, good times and just getting after it. Great job kids, this is a playlist song for me for sure. Thanks to Godsmack for doing this with them. This is the example that young artists need.
Makes me tear up seeing these kids get this experience.
I get chills every time, I’m not just saying that 🥺
This was at my middle school when i went there i just wasnt able to go to it
Me to !
Same!!!
while we have people who genuinely believe that metal is *subpar*
Just watching this made me very emotional. How incredible to have those guys at a school not only teaching these kids but actually making them feel the power in the music. What a fantastic memory Godsmack has created for these teenagers 😍 All I can say is DAMN!!! Wish we would've had opportunities like this when I was growing up.
We didn't need them, we existed before The Year of Great Musical Death - 2004.
@@Rayvn7 You're right about that!! ✌🏻
I was thinking the same thing
Empowering right
It brings tears to my eyes.
At 3:50 this kid playing the drums has so much heart and you can see him being successful, love it kid keep, playing even when you don’t think u can we believe in you.
That kid made ME want to go buy a drum kit! haha! The whole video was great! but the drumming was very cool!
He's my favorite. He was just into it.
I agree sir, good for him...At this point this may be his "15" minutes of fame....good call my friend.
That kid really shows his LOVE for paying the drums, I’m not taking away from all those kids THEY all rocked it but that one kid though he’s got the it factor
@@What_If_This_Was_You I love this video it shows all these kids going somewhere and hitting that spot that will kick start their journey in life god bless them or godsmack ‘em,
For these men to climb down from their fortune and fame to share what they know and love to our young people, and help them get by in this world. Is so cool. They deserve the Hall of fame. All of our kids, all races, genders, all look upto us. God bless all mentors, teachers, coaches, and music.
Well said, I just found this, love it.
God Bless "Godsmack"
No one does that buddy... But these guys, gotta love em
That's right. Shows the heart they truly have. Gosh I'm weepy. Godsmack you freaking are the bomb.
As a drummer in my youth, watching so many kids playing at the same time gives me all the feels. Thanks Sully and Godsmack.
Wishing you all the best. Follow your dreams
Watching this video wondering why am I tearing up? This is what music does, brings people together in the most positive way there is.
Must be catchy, damn. Totally awesome
It happened to me too 😅
Truth dude. Beautiful
You're not alone brother. Every time I watch this video I feel a massive swell of love and respect. The sheer magnitude of bringing all these kids together to share one vision for a song is just amazing to watch happen. With everything going on in the world right now it hits me square in the feels to see an entire school break out in support of a doubtless Rock n Roll Hall of Fame rock band.
Agreed. This is the 3rd time today I listened to this, and in the words of Godsmack...I was crying like a bitch. each time
In 2024 I would love to see what happened to each and every one of the students and what they took from this experience.
This touches me on many levels as a former educator and presently as a therapist working with children- One of my fav bands- too cool !
Every kid at that moment has FELT the power of music! No matter what style or type of music you listen or like, they felt it. And you can see just how real it is
This literally brings tears to my eyes
because of cringe right?
Me too
Godsmack is undoubtedly one of the best if not the best. These guys are humble kind beings and I'm glad we get to enjoy their music. I can't speak for anyone aside from myself, their music moves my soul every time I hear them
You took the words out of my mouth
I could not agree more! One of my favorite bands. These guys are absolutely amazing at whatever they do!! Love them!!
Absolutely
Well said. Their songs make me cry, hate, love and feel lost depending on the day. No other band has captivated my emotions like godsmack. Best band ever. Know why? Cuz the members are all wonderful people
This is one of the greatest things I think I've ever seen come from the music industry. Those parents must be so proud. I know I would be. 32 now, been a Godsmack fan since I was these kids' age.
Big dude at 3:48 was jamming his heart out, absolute badass, keep at it bud maybe we'll see you pay it forward one day.
Hopefully that youngman winds up headlining in a band and hearing cheers from thousands as he plays his heart out.
All thanks to the inspiration from godsmack.

@@STEELFACEJOINTHEFAMILYTODAY Hey man, you fucking KILLED IT out there! Don't EVER lose that fire within you!
I've been a fan of these guys ever since their first album. 20 years later and they are STILL rocking. Awesome that they did this for those kids!
I've been a fan for over 20 years too. Does realizing how long it's been make you feel your age whatever it is. Godsmack always makes me proud to be from MA.
I have never commented on a video / song before but let me say this is absolutely amazing and I hope that there are more of these types of videos. I agree totally that music as well as the arts in general (painting, dancing, etc.) are a major and critical important part that should be remain a piece of our lives as well as schools. As with a few of the kids in this video, I've been going through hard times over the last several years because I've allowed life to remove things like music from my life. A couple of months ago I re-found music and that is mainly because of this song and other songs of Godsmack's (though there are of course other bands/artists as well from hiphop to classical to ... 😀). Please Please Please keep on rocking and putting out these monster jams which will live through the ages and will be getting played 30-40-50 years and hopefully centuries from now. Let me just say that music can truly save your soul and take you through the hard times as well as the good times. I truly hope the kids in this video realize this and continue to embrace the gift that is music throughout the rest of their lives as well as their kids and anyone else that their gift touches. Once again ... thanks and may God truly bless not only the people that made this video possible but everyone who watches and realizes the gift that music truly brings to the world.
I only saw this for the first time yesterday, and I cannot stop watching it! In an era where rock music seems to have taken a back seat to all other genres, Godsmack does the greatest thing imaginable in making these kids a part of this incredible song. The expressions on their faces (band & kids) are infectious and the memories will last a lifetime. Take a bow Godsmack!
Never have I heard of any Rock Band doing something like this to show a younger generation bow to be creative and play music!! GOD SMACK YOU GUYS ARE REALLY AN AWESOME BAND!!!
I’m sitting in a pub alone and just watched this video I’m now smiling at my phone like a idiot music is everything and this video shows the power of it .

that was very soul touching and moving to see the power the younger ones have uniting . Music tells a story of our history our lives and i wanted to say thank you Godsmack for reminding the world the power of music.....

I am so happy to see what Godsmack is doing with our youth. Godsmack has always been my favorite band! But the talent our youth has is mind-blowing! You kid's are WICKED with AMAZING TALENT!!!!
@Sully Erna I'm fantastic. How are you?
@Sully Erna Glad to hear you're doing good. Yes I'm very humble to receive a message from you.
@Sully Erna That's very good to hear. You're truly gifted. Plus a excellent mentor to our youth. Also focusing on Mental Health!
@Sully Erna I've been a fan for a long long time. I am a high energy person. So when I need to kick things into hyper-mode, I play certain songs. Plus I feel that you are the most talented individual that's in the music industry. Plus I respect how far you have came in life with all the trials and experiences, that you did not allow yo overcome your life. I also appreciate your book, plus hometown session's while in lockdown over Covid. 👍

Amazing to see Godsmack giving back to the community, these kids will remember this the rest of their lives.
Right?! This is Amazing!! This kind of thing needs to be done more often!

Kudos to Sully and all the band!!!
This video brought tears to my eyes. It's so amazing to see a well known Metal Band to this for kids and to see that light in their eyes and the smiles on their faces just made me tear up. I have soo much respect for this band. This is a once in a lifetime experience and definitely not one they will ever forget. So glad I got to see them for the first time several years ago in Belton Tx.TX.
I was one of those kids many many yrs ago and even today with my own kids grown, music is my go to when I need an uplift or to relax.
They should do this for more schools. Not just this band. More rock bands should go to every high school. I would have loved this! I’m graduating in a few weeks!
I needed this in high school.
Congratulations
Our journey is beginning.
High schoolers need rock
sorry your all to young to KNOW the 1980`s. in 82, 83 and 84 bands like George Thorogood, David Wilcox, Goddo did high school tours across Canada. They where always in June and great parties. awww how I miss those dayz.
I am so happy that I was able to be a part of this. This whole thing was incredibly moving and we all had so much fun! I just really wanted to thank Sully and the Godsmack team. You all have truly changed my life!
edit: This was not just Gilbert H. Hood, it was West Running Brook and A few students from Pinkerton Academy

Where was this?
@@tylerdurden1221 Gilbert H. Hood in Derry NH but most of it was shot at SNHU arena
Awesome
We need more of this to get kids interested in rock music. Keep it alive. Way to go GS

OMG!! I am 64, live in the Cleveland area, and just saw this video! Live concerts have been my life, and all I can say is I am absolutely jealous! I saw Godsmack some years ago at our Blossom Music Center, an awesome outdoor amphitheater. Then, in 2019 I flew to Nashville and saw them again. So lucky to have lived my life in Cleveland, the Rock and Roll capital of the world!!!
OMG I cried when I seen and felt the joy and pride these kids felt! You guys are such a gift to the world thank you for everything you do. I love you, may you always have love and peace within your heart and soul...
That was moving. Only Godsmack would think of something like this. I still have goosebumps. Keep doing you Sully, Tony, Shannon, and Robbie. You have been my favorite band since I first listened to Immune in 1999.
Rock Star Uproar Fest in 2014 in Sioux City, IA was and still is the best show I have ever been to. I was right in front of the stage watching Robbie shred his bass, and he tossed me his pick when I called him a bass guitar God. I'll never forget that.
I'm 33, in a metal band and I'm still jealous of all these kids.
I'm 40 :( at least the people in the cars and trucks know my taste of music
@@juddguilbeau1759 I'm sure we will still have that even when we're pensioners.
@@78667 god I hope so
I was one of them haha, it was fucking awesome :)
@@ktox8758 here I am playing the harmonica on the toilet thinking I'm doing something with my life and there you go playing with godsmack...
Watched this video again today. It still takes my breath away and I tear up watching it. You just don't see bands do this. I love how each individual band member taught the kids. This is the song that turned me on to Godsmack. Thanks guys. Hopefully ill get to see them in Atlanta soon.
This must have been amazing. I cant imagine the joy of the children having to be part of something so awesome and bonding at that age when a lot of things divide them. Good message Sully and the band, good message.
Who else has chills anyone? Just me?
Brought to tears. SO amazing and inspiring for these kids
Not just chills but genuinely brings me to tears watching it every time! It is a beautiful thing to see what mus8c can do... Its just awesome to me!
Adam Mattson I was one of these kids, it’s blowing up like crazy, it’s such an experience ! :)
@@mosquitocheese6348 I bet it was. I hope you take this experience and follow your dreams.
Adam Mattson I will thank you ! :)
This is the coolest thing I've ever seen. My school told me I didn't have the grades to take music class, so I did it on my own. That was 50 years ago. I'm still Listening and Learning and Loving it. Thanks Godsmack for sharing that love.
Godsmack and Sully care so very much for the children. What a treat to see tough men teach willing children about the wonders of music. Godsmack will leave their mark not only in music, but in the children.
This video is absolutely incredible. Simply bc of the joy and happiness of those kids enjoying their skill joined by an amazing group. Kudos to Godsmack for giving back and doing this for kids. What an experience!!
Hello Amy, how are you doing today; how’s everything going over there 👉 I hope your day went well & hope it was a blessed day for you Amy?
It's amazing that a band like this take the time to do that with the kids
Awesome!
This is the kind of thing that Super Bowl halftime shows should be about. Get 100 kids up there playing something other than the pop song of the week. We don't need a show with 5 different groups and 10 costume changes. We just need musicians like this.
Yes!! This!!
You couldn’t have said it any better!!
ABSOLUTELY!!!!! 🤘🤘😇
Hell yes bring it on.
Hell yeah. I would love to see this!!
I couldn’t stop smiling so inspirational and motivating. Got all the feels.
As a high school teacher and a person who appreciates Godsmack Art, I couldn't be anymore over the moon to see the artists giving back. Those kids will always remember the day Godsmack taught their class.
3:45, THAT'S MY BOY!!!!!!
and 1:33
I saw this in the newspaper. How cool for your family!
Just wanted to say to your boy, this was awesome, a once in a lifetime experience. Don’t stop for a minute. Chase that dream. What a cool display of talent. Keep metal alive kid! Us old folk thank you!
@@Cheeseburger.Launch.Sequence It was awesome! We just got lucky that we live in their 'hometown' (where their studio is). The Band is all awesome, they always mingle with the locals if they're not busy.
@@davidjordan8093 he's been in music school since he was 7 and he's 15 now. He's on them drums every day and sometimes 2-3 times per day. He also sings and plays guitar, bass, keyboard, and harmonica. He's working with another student from the school and they're writing an album. They're on "Song 13" (even called that) right now.
School of Rock - 2020 edition
I’m so jealous of every one of these kids. Would have loved to do this. Godsmack rules. Sully and the rest of the guys are absolutely amazing. I must have watched this a thousand times, and get goosebumps every time.
Yesss!!!
Could you imagine going into an assembly at school thinking it would be boring and then have Godsmack show up and each band member teach kids different instruments they are passionate about and then get to go to Godsmack's studio
They have been my favorite band since I was 14. I’m 31 now, if they showed up at my high school back then oh man I would have had a heart attack lol
I think I would drop dead 😆
I love this song. 1st time I watched the video, it literally brought tears to my eyes. The way they brought so many kids from all over, and unified them all for this one song/project. This is how you use star power in positive ways. To Sully, the band and crew, I say a deeply heartfelt tyvm. This truly is unforgettable.
This is one of the coolest things I’ve ever watched. Kudos to Godsmack! Music is the universal language!
This gave me goosebumps and brought tears to my eyes!! Thank for your gift of music!!!
I was in this music video, I can’t believe this is blowing up. Just wow.
Mosquito Cheese lol of course it would blow up there godsmack
you are in GREAT COMPANY it was always going to ;) congrats you are famous now …
Roger Doger Haha famous? I wish :))
@@mosquitocheese6348 patients my friend.. Sully and the gang didn't get where they are in 1 night.. My old neighbor was an up and coming band at the same time Godsmack was in Boston.... KEEP GRINDING!!!! the world needs more GOOD MUSIC INFLUENCE ……
How totally amazing for you!! I love this!
My mother passed away in September 2023 and this was one of her favorite songs to listen to with her grandson (my son), because he was so musically inclined at such a young age.
She would say it gave her goosebumps everytime.
I love ya, mom. Rest peacefully. 💜
🎶💜🙏🏼🎵💜🎶🙏🏼💜🎵
Must be the coolest bunch of guys in metal. Love Godsmack, this just makes me love them more.
It just keeps getting better thanks Godsmack for bringing music to a different level
These guys turned normal high school students into rock music lovers. Amazing
An Actual Pickle middle school students, except for the original 20 who are high schoolers now.
@@kristindineen2870 oh my bad
I’m just curious how many of them actually knew who sully was and who godsmack is before this happened.
Justin Hemmah my son has listened to Godsmack for forever, but hadn’t realized till I explained it. He doesn’t really keep up with band or artist names.
An Actual Pickle it’s his great deeds he loves to work with kids. He’s from NewEngland. Learn all you. Can. He’s a great music teacher.
I get chills every time I watch this video. Sully and the rest of Godsmack are definite champions of promoting music and taking interest in the kids of today to make a positive experience. Not to mention all of the kids working together to create something. Certainly an experience of a lifetime for all of them.
