This video made me realize why my hair has started to grow back! In February 2023 I decided to commit to a better diet. So I've been consistently eating high quality proteins and a big huge salad every day at dinner, like at least 5 to 7 cups every day. I thought it was just the protein that did it but now I think the silica in all those veggies greatly contributed. So eat your vegetables people! And I'm only now realizing just how beneficial it's been to cook more at home. I used to have a terrible habit of always ordering for delivery. Restaurant food (as well as pre-cooked/pre-packaged, and processed food) is cooked with cheap seed oils and hidden sugars, which is inflammatory to your system. So it makes sense that the body prioritizes fighting against all that inflammation as opposed to wasting its resources toward the hair. Anyway, I've been in these better habits for 8.5 months now and my new hairs are about an inch and half so I'd say it probably took about 6 or 7 months. So maybe try improving your diet if you can't afford all those supplements. I hope that helps anyone out there!

@@Prosperity_888 Mostly a salad of cabbage, celery, and tomatoes topped with Sauerkraut. If I'm too lazy to cut up all those ingredients, I'll just buy the Superfood Veggie Slaw bags from Costco and put nothing else except maybe some olive oil and salt. It has bits of other veggies too like brussels sprouts. I like it because it's crunchy and tastes good to me, but you could use any salad base like spinach or lettuce. I eat at least 5 cups every day. I have hair growing back in where it was completely gone, and this improved diet is the only thing I've changed about my lifestyle in these last few months, so that's why I'm sure it's the nutrients that's helping it grow back. The only other thing I can think of is that I started washing my hair with a scalp massager three or four months ago, so maybe that contributed to some blood flow to the follicles. Good luck and feel free to ask any other questions!

    1. scalp massage everyday for at least 10-20 minutes a day
    2. Taoist soap for hair growth for 2 times a week
    3. Nettle Extract Supplement to remove hormone residue in the liver
    4. Paraben free shampoo
    5. nutritional amino acid supplement called collagen 2 times a day. Any brand is fine as long as sourced from bovine and hydrolyzed (will say on the packaging).

I would like to add that horsetail contains an enzyme called thiaminase, which depletes your thiamine (B1). I strongly recommend taking a B1 supplement as I do this to prevent the depletion. I take extra B1 for various health reasons on top of it all. The results from the horsetail make it all worthwhile to take extra.

Just a snippet of info because I WISH someone would have told me
-I don't know if you'd heard of it but here are a few natural things that do in FACT help thyroid.
MOST Doctors will NEVER tell you this nor will they even test it. I know because I had issues with my thyroid also. They never took tests past T3 and T4.
You can take a Mineral deficiency Test. One that tests your Iodine, and Selenium. Both are MAJOR CRITICAL components of what make your thyroid work or not. They effect your metabolism/hormone endocrine system. Rather than tell you that they put you on these medications. Most Americans are deficient in minerals due to changing practices in farming. We no longer get the nutrients necessary for our body to run optimally. That's. 100% fact. You can research Iodine and Selenium deficiency and it's role in reversal of thyroid health.
Secondly, Black Seed Oil has been studied extensively for thyroid health, inflammation, diabetes, insulin resistance, and so on.
You can take 1 tablespoon in the.morning and one at night. It's an anti-inflammatory/antioxidant/antifungal/anticancer/and so on.
I'm not someone who blindly or naively spreads claims. I've gone faaaar down the rabbit hole lol..I was determined to help myself when I realized I was the only one I had. I began to lose weight, feel better...I just..I wish someone would have told me..and I want you to feel your best too. You deserve that. ❤

How does urinary excretion (referring to the sited study) relate to absorption rates? Absorption means it's being absorbed by your body via digestion and is being transported to your cells so it can be utilized. Urinary excretion means that it's being eliminated by your body in the urine (unused). Could I be reading the text incorrectly? Also, this study was done with fasting individuals. Would one need to fast in order to achieve these absorption rates?

    • @mindfulmomentswithColm
      @mindfulmomentswithColm Год назад +5

I wouldn't recommend those low carb diets just find a balanced diet that gives you energy. some days you might be inactive so it makes sense to eat low carb, but in general we want energy to fuel our body/mind from simple sugars (fruit) not complex carbs/refined sugar.
fruit and salad works for me with once in a while a cooked meal. that way I know I'm getting abundance of nutrients and water from a plant. just like the electromagnetic spectrum I suspect many more aspects to nutrition exist unknown about, yet we can safely assume the foods nature produces in a whole raw state can be trusted wholeheartedly and will give us an adequate number of nutrients.
we don't need all nutrients in 1 meal, as animals eat seasonally and forage from different sources. fruits have the highest bioavailability of nutrients that basically means what we can absorb with ease.
hair loss can be excess worry/stress, dehydration/dryness, body releasing acids/toxins from the natural layer of oil in the scalp or it can be genetic and lifestyle related. in simple terms dryness, dampness, heat. but we should not focus on what we're missing all the time.
acceptance would be important and adapting a diet that supports you feeling good before anything else. foods that are grounding, energizing, nourishing, hydrating, uplifting, ecological...etc.
Biotin can be found in holland and barrets I do take vit D, and biotin although I could happily not take them now I can get sunlight and will fast intermittent which improves our own vitamin production.

Funny story…I grew up constantly hearing my granddad tell the story of his friend that shaved his head because he was going bald. This guy decided to get a tattoo on his newly bald head for fun. Suddenly he saw hair regrowing in the tattooed area. He decided to go back to the tattoo parlor and have them run the tattoo needle over his entire head without the ink. He figured it would regrow his hair everywhere else on his head. Well…It worked. His hair regrew.
I’m by no means encouraging having a tattoo needle ran over your head lol. Please don’t! Pretty painful hair regrowth method. The story just came to my mind while watching the video and reading the comments from others on scalp stimulation methods.
Additionally, I happen to be a retired cosmetologist myself. I think what likely happened with this man is the tattoo needle stimulated hair growth through scalp stimulation. Similar to massaging the scalp with oils or using a high frequency electrode scalp stimulator. These are 2 methods we used and were taught about in cosmetology school for hair stimulation. I’d recommend that before tattoo needling. The Nioxin hair care system works for some people also. I’m experiencing hair loss myself now from having autoimmune disease and being on various medications that cause hair loss. Due to those factors most things probably won’t help me too much. I’m for sure NOT gonna run a tattoo needle over my head lol, but I may try the silicon mmst. Blessings for hair growth and good health to all🙏🏻😉
