As promised, I also have a number of sources I used for this video and want to share them. First up, these comics and adaptations felt particularly relevant: Superman (1978 film) Superman vs the Klan Superman: Peace on Earth Action Comics #987 Action Comics #1034 & #1035 Superman vs the Elite Superman: Son of Kal-El #2 For more academic reading, check out these articles, much of which contain information used to form this video: On America's polarization: ozeanmedia.com/political-consulting/hyper-partisanship-hyper-polarization-americas-pending-divorce/ On sociology: helpfulprofessor.com/interactionist-perspective-sociology/ On immigration in the modern USA: www.cfr.org/backgrounder/us-immigration-debate-0 And finally some spicy takes on immigration I didn't even get around to touching on but feel worth sharing: www.aljazeera.com/opinions/2018/1/31/a-us-immigration-history-of-white-supremacy-and-ableism
He's the champion of the oppressed and the hero of the people. Frank Miller be damned, he would never be a bootlicker to the government and be their lapdog over doing the right thing.
Hello guy! First, I would like to congratulate you for the video. I really like your approach. These nuances of the characters that make me like comic books. I believe that every character has a deeper layer that is often overlooked. For example, if a city needs a superhero, wouldn't the problem be the city's society? The hero would only be a temporary solution as the whole system would remain the same. And yes, I would like you to continue making these character analysis videos. I leave a suggestion, which due to the Blue Beetle movie should come into vogue, a video about Batman. Greetings from Brazil.

Superman was always people first, never a politician, that's why he appealed to purer nature of humanity.
Superman in my opinion always represents the best of humanity way more then either side politically at least in my opinion on this topic as a whole.
Superman sucks.
@@gak1146 why do you think he sucks?
Good topic. I like these kind of analysis instead of just powerscaling
If we were talking about MY creative character then we would be having A completely different conservation.

oh yeah, i guess my brain just blocked that one out lol
Miller is just too politically charged himself to really right stories of any sort.
Thanks man, great video!!!
Glad you liked it!
