@@johnnycrown5097 It exposes a double standard that'll never go away. Men are told that they have to put everyone else before them. Wives, children, lovers, etc. Women are encouraged to look out for themselves. If a female character bails on their responsibilities, it's triumphant. She's free. If a male character does the same, it's wrong. He's a deserter. In fact, you can see it in Frozen. Elsa runs away after her powers are revealed and sings a song about how she's free and starting a new life. Ironically, when Anna finds her, she's back to having a pity party. The latter half is likely an attempt to get audiences to care for Elsa, since everything else was from an early draft where she was the villain. Now rewind back nearly 20 years prior in The Lion King. Simba runs away after thinking he killed Mufasa. He makes some new friends and sings a song about how he's leaving his old life behind to stop caring. His childhood friend Nala comes across him after leaving the Pridelands, which have gone downhill after Scar took over. Simba refuses to return, and he's chewed out by Nala and needs Rafiki to knock some sense into him. To add to the anti-love agenda Disney has adopted, it's similar to the sudden aversion to having families. Women are being told that getting married and having kids does nothing but slow them down. Women need to look out for number one and not allow some brat to get in their way. 9 times out of 10, women who believe this sentiment are the epitome of the saying "Always a bridesmaid, never a bride".
@@dannypalin9583 beautifully said... I'm making a story about this that I do intend to put on RUclips... It's one piece esque but it's reversed one piece in terms of mentality... First of, freedom isn't automatically the good guy, individualism and self discipline are... But the most important are the usual suspects won't be the bad guy... There are 131 races in the world and humans are the most... The story would start with the standard race hatred but the audience would expect humans to be the bad guys as always because in all these fantasies, humans are the easily corruptible and the hateful ones who like enslaving people and they say it's because humans are numerable and it's just human nature to hate, every other races especially elves and mermaids are just peaceful beautiful things whose hatefulness comes as a consequence of the human oppression... You would notice that how it goes, as if hatred is just a solely human thing... I actually believe hatred is just part of being alive and all living things would have one especially sentient once, it just depends on your self control and ability to be the bigger person... Saying because humans are numerous that means they can overtake all of these fantasy races and all their powerful natural powers that humans lack is ridiculous... So when it's normally humans enslaving the other races, I plan to reverse that big time... I don't want to spoil it but it's not as simple as other races enslaving humans either... Just watch out for it... But what's important to this is the people who're always the demographic used as villains currently, white men would be the victims... I intend to use this opportunity to show the hardwork and struggles of men not their imagined ones fed to them by Hollywood and the media... And they're going find it very hard to call me racist because I'm not only black, I'm a immigrant (a very very legal one) from west Africa) and I don't see women as minorities because they clearly aren't... My plan is to take a wrecking ball to this narrative and ask why it's now okay to demonize a certain demographic especially when they use it to prop up others, something the racst back then didn't even do themselves... Being black, I actually hate this hatred considering what happened in the past and unlike most of the black community, I don't want to see it being reused on another side otherwise it would look like I wasn't against the hatred, I was just angry it was used on my ancestors and I want use it instead which is something I don't want.. it's either good on all ends or bad, nuance or caveats, there's no prejudice plus power and other nonsense excuses that the left has thought up to not only justify their discrimination but to make it look virtuous and a necessity... I'm going to shove the humanity of all the demographic that have been deemed as the forever bad guys at the audience face and show their double standards and actual discrimination... I can't do it justice here... Just expect it... I'm going to create a leftist society to it's expected conclusion and show them how discriminatory they truly are...

They replaced Cassie Lang because Emma Fuhrmann grew to be too tall (5'9", while Paul Rudd is 5'8") and not as famous as Kathryn Newton. Also, Fuhrmann is a conservative Christian, and you know what that means to Hollyweird. So yeah, the MCU producers suck

The elephant in the room is that Marvel absolutely hates Mary Jane. Spiderverse movies actually portraying her respectfully is honestly a miracle in this day and age.

They definitely fumbled the bag with Scarlet Witch. I freaking loved the House Of M storyline. That story could’ve been told in after the infinity saga. Especially since they had rights to X-Men and Fantastic Four by then. Wanda could’ve been next villain for the Next Phase. And still they somehow managed to mess it up????
It's funny. 2 years prior to WandaVision, Thanos decided to use the Infinity Stones to kill everyone and rebuild the universe in his image. Why? Because he had, or eventually would have, sacrificed everything to accomplish his goal and everyone was an ungrateful bastard for rejecting his gift of sparing them. In 2019, Thanos was seen as irredeemably evil for this. In 2021, Wanda is essentially told "There, there" for doing the same thing.
@@dannypalin9583 How did Wanda do the same thing and in what world was she given a pat on the head? Are you talking about WandaVision or MoM? They changed Thanos immensely just so he wasn’t too crazy. It’s the same character who was head over heels for Death, the actual reason for the Snap in the comics.
@@dannypalin9583 Okay, and Wanda pretty much dismissed that as soon as she did. By the way, that was nowhere close to what Thanos did. He decided that he was right and everyone else was wrong and if anything, he has more in common with Tony than Wanda considering their mindset and ideas of “the greater good”. Thanos didn’t care about what anyone else thought of him and used the tragedy of what happened to his world to vindicate himself while building a cult of personality around his way of thinking. Monica also said that she knew Wanda was sorry, but the line “I know you are” makes it pretty clear that her apology wasn’t accepted or enough for anyone there. The line itself was tone-deaf and it did sabotage Monica’s own character, yes. However, the show itself made it pretty clear that Wanda was one of the villains, just that it hadn’t been rooted in malice or ambition like Hayward or Agatha. She wasn’t one of the heroes and neither were the two of them. It was practically a monster movie with the people around them ducking and running to cover. I just think it was coming from a place of empathy considering Wanda had to, once again, sacrifice those she loved for everyone else and Monica herself was still recovering from learning that her mom died, not that Monica was saying Wanda was a victim or that she was right. Wanda knew that everyone hated her and had good reason to no matter what she did to try and fix it, to the extent that she was pretty shocked that Monica didn’t. Both WandaVision and Agatha All Along have maintained that with Westview, many of the residents hating or fearful of Wanda to the point that they avoid saying her name. Her kids were and do continue to be real, considering Wanda’s status as “a being capable of spontaneous creation” and the events of Agatha All Along with the “Teen” character.

I mean the writing with Wanda was sort of dodgy but at the least she was the exact opposite and her flaws became the centre of her character in MoM which was sort of a change from the others being portrayed as near perfect, and had her be vulnerable at the end which was different from a few others like She Hulk especially, if anything she was similar to the male characters with going all out for a family (Billy and Tommy). It was a bit messy with Wandavision (Especially the ending and Monica's oddly defensive stance towards Wanda.) and Multiverse of Madness but she at the least wasn't made to be perfect and a Mary Sue who can't be wrong or flawed in the eyes of other characters considering she was literally the main threat. The same can't exactly be said for characters like She Hulk who had their live action debut sort of decimated from the start by really bad writing. Atleast Thor wasn't completely replaced with Jane and we still have him around to be honest, it could have went much worse than it has currently, though, there definitely needs to be some improvements

I loved Agent Carter season 1. Season 2 felt like it jumped the shark way too soon. The first season felt like they were setting up the beginnings of The Red Room or were going to have her facing off with a black widow of the 1940s. Then..... just....upended.
Wanda Maximoff might go down as one of the most Butchered characters in MCU history and put 100% of the blame on how they weren't willing to commit to her turn into villiany by the end of her Wandavision series. They spent like 8 episodes building up other entities that could've been responsible for the weird acts around her mini reality only for then to subvert it by revealing it was all her fault. Then in the last episode they wiped that away and put all of the blame on the one white dude trying to save people in the Sword Agent.
I don’t see how they didn’t commit to her being a villain in WandaVision. Her decisions in the episodes clearly made her one, it’s just that her villainy wasn’t rooted in actual malice. That she had wanted to believe people were happy like she was. And she wanted to make sure it wouldn’t happen again by learning to keep her magic under control. Hayward was one of the villains, as he not only didn’t care about those in Westview (much like Agatha), he also repeatedly endangered them and prolonged the Hex by sabotaging the efforts of Monica and Jimmy such as by firing a missile at Wanda and her kids. Wanda, Agatha, and Hayward were the villains in Westview and it was more like a fight between 3 monsters with the people running to duck and cover.

Fun fact about the wasp and the MCU in the comics yes, the name of the avengers came for an hour from a woman, but it wasn’t Carol Danvers confusing name. It was Janet ‘s idea just because it sounds cool. Yes, it’s all simple.
Gamora is.. alright. The Most boring member of the guardians and her standoffish spiteful personality made her hard to like, even if she had a character arc.
MCU also has a problem with Glazing Tony Stark. By making Tony be the Uncle Ben to Tom holland’s Spider-Man (or should I say iron boy Jr.) in the MCU. As well as taking away Hank Pym’s greatest achievement of creating Ultron. MCU Ultron is just another Tony Stark villain. I don’t mind RDJ’s iron man being the beloved star of the MCU but what I don’t like is making everything about stark and connected everything back to Tony. Tom Holland should’ve been like the Ultimate Spider-Man and have his classic supporting cast. Maybe make them more like the cast from the spectacular Spider-Man cartoon series. Mention Uncle Ben there and here or even do a flashback of him. Save MJ and the Osborns later. Instead of Betty Ross, introduce Gwen Stacy. Another thing is none of his villains should be influenced by Tony whatsoever. They should be spider-man villains. Not iron man villains. Tony and Peter can still be comrades but He shouldn’t be his protege or an intern. Peter is better as a independent hero. Ultron should’ve stayed a Pym creation. Introduce Hank and The Wasp either in Phase 1 or 2 as avengers. Then play in the Yellowjacket arc. With these changes I said, the MCU wouldn’t be centered around stark and focused on other characters. One of the reasons why Marvel is so loved is because it isn’t just talking about one character’s story. It’s talking about EVERYONE’S story. Btw, I get it that it’s a alternate universe and it doesn’t need to be as accurate like the source material but other than guardians of the galaxy, drifting away from the source material just seems like it’s not even marvel anymore. It’s just directors and writers wanting to put they’re own fan fictions in this films and tv shows. Which is what we got in Phase 4.
The fact that RHODEY WAS THERE yet they tried to manufacture that whole agenda that *PETER PARKER IS THE CLOSEST PERSON TO TONY STARK & HIS RUGHTFULL SUCESOR* is just EMBARASSING
Peggy Carter is one of the best non-powered female characters in the MCU and an actual example of a strong (and feminine) woman who wasn't a wanna-be alpha male action star... Until they turned her into a wanna-be alpha male action star. And Captain Carter isn't even a bad character, as a stand-alone multiverse, non-canon thing, but then they had to Miles Morales her and try to make her semi-canon. Also, if Steve was retconned to have "been Peggy's husband all along," then that means Steve was flirting with his niece when he was with Sharon Carter, which is creepy. (And it was already creepy to be flirting on the relative of a girl you once liked.)
“(And it was already creepy to be flirting on the relative of a girl you once liked.)” How? Steve didn't know that Sharon is related to Peggy until in Civil War. Also, even if Steve did know that, I don't mind this on the conditions that neither he, Sharon nor both hurt and/or victimize each other, are motivated by anything to with Peggy to flirt, fall in love and/or become a couple, and/or are family and/or underage.
I don't really see the complaint. Because she's in what if and doctor strange it makes her cannon yes. Because multiverse basically makes everyone cannon. But it's another multiverse if you don’t like her in what if don't watch it and I don't see how her role in multiverse of madness can upset you. Now if secret wars happens and she's in the main timeline like how they did Miles in the comics I understand. Or if they give her a standalone move i may understand. But a couple of scenes in multiverse of madness and some episodes of what if don't really matter. She fits into the standalone multiverse thing you were talking about from my pointof view. (Unless you're talking about The Batman movies type of standalone)You also said you don’t think she's a bad charcter so I have to ask what are you upset about?
*0:31** another aspect that I found cringe & ridiculous of the **_CAPTAIN CARTER_** concept is the dumb insistance of Peggy to be called Captain* She's a high member of the British Inteligence, SHE IS FAR ABOVE THE RANK OF CAPTAIN, so she insisting to call herself Captains is the equivalent of General Grievous renaming himself as *PRIVATE GRIEVOUS* or Cobra Commander Commander calling himself *COBRA INSUBORDINATED*

And that the real Mary Jane is out there somewhere and will appear later in Spider-Man’s life. The nerfing of Ant Man and Wasp makes me so depressed, I genuinely don't get why we couldn't have gotten a more unique, duo story with a woman who wants to save her struggling scientist husband and go on to be the heart/leader of the Avengers. Instead we got uh... bad ass woman No.27 and Paul Rudd??? ...thanks a lot Kevin I'm so glad your channel and thoughts on the MCU's sins makes me curious about the original comics (plus, Earth's Mightiest Heroes has the better Ant Man adaptation)
Probably a controversial opinion - and admittedly coming from someone who decidedly isn't a comic book fan - but I always felt that Scarlet Witch should have never been included in the MCU because of her powers, which already made her a mess in the comics. I don't know why but most people who give their characters some form of reality-altering powers have no grasp whatsoever what that entails, resulting in wildly convoluted and/or inconsistent stories and astoundingly retarded character moments when they run into the issues these characters create (and yes, I very much include House of M among that pile of messes). As with everything, yes, you can make such characters work, but it requires a care and attention to detail that most of these writers are either unwilling or incapable of applying. If they had to introduce Wanda into the MCU (and frankly, I don't see why) they would have been best served to give her telekinesis and I guess telepathy and draw a line in the sand right there.
Same applies to Dr Strange. Comics really don't know the difference between sci-fi and fantasy. With the introduction of magic, the Avengers seem pointless.
The MCU completely butchered Janet, I swear someone at Marvel must really hate her. They kill her off in the first Ant-Man movie (I know she gets brought back in the next one, but come on), she gets replaced in the second Ant-Man movie, then in the third Ant-Man movie it's implied she had sex with Kang the Conqueror, and she appears in only one Avengers movie where she has almost zero screen time despite being a founding member in the comics as well as the majority of Avengers media released before the first Avengers movie. I know Janet hasn't always been the most consistently well-written character in the comics, but in the same decade as the Ant-Man and Avengers movies, she was perfectly adapted in the Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes tv series, if they could do it I don't see why the multimillion dollar movie studio couldn't. Also on the topic of Scarlet Witch's costume, I have a feeling the reason it wasn't comic accurate until WandaVision was because of some weird copyright bullshit. The actor who plays Kingpin in the Netflix Daredevil series recently revealed that the film and tv rights to the Kingpin have been split between Sony and Disney for a while (just like how the film rights to the Scarlet Witch were split between Fox and Disney before Disney brought Fox), and that it's affected how Kingpin is portrayed in various movies and tv shows (it's the reason why Kingpin hasn't appeared in a Spider-Man animated series in two decades). It's possible that Fox were somehow able to claim the rights to Wanda's costume from the comics and block Disney from using it.
My only defense towards Captain Carter is that it’s an alternate Universe Thing that has nothing to do with the main canon, nor does it affect anything in the Main MCU (*COUGH* Wanda *COUGH*) hell, she straight up Fucking DIED in her first Theatrical appearance This is also my Argument whenever someone tries to defend Captain Carter by saying ‘It GiVeS hEr MoRe To Do aNd ExPaNdS oN hEr LeGaCy’, like, the fuck are you talking about? Edit: Alright, the Maria Hill shit just pisses me off, and is VERY sexist for a Company that’s supposedly trying to get away from it You could’ve had one of The COOLEST and most Complex MCU antagonists- THAT COULD’VE BEEN BUILT UP FROM THE START- we’ve had so Far, And Then Basically Kill her off before we could even get there in exchange for Actor Baiting (Not bashing the casting, I love Ford, but this is LITERALLY what that is)
About Maria yeah is funny to think that her character was treated so badly she will forever be remembered as nick fury assistant (in the most simplest sense of the word) , her role is being the supposed to be contrary voice but I think they were scared of making her unlikeable so they make her have a good relationship with the other characters ,the problem was that she never stand out from widow or Colson . She’s supposed to be he’s second in command but she’s just there for as a secretariat (why Talos decided to have he’s wife pretend to be her is perplexing and argleube she did a better job even her of cream dead had more impact). In short what a waste
For me the biggest crime of the MCU was the Avengers using a Time Machine to change the time line instead of using the more obvious time stone. Something about building a Time Machine just made the entire continuity of the universe seem completely meaningless.
I never cared about Wasp outside of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, but the MCU version is still so embarrassing. And I never liked the MCU's version of Scarlet Witch. Especially since she took away from a Doctor Strange movie. I wanted to see Doctor Strange (who is handled pretty poorly in the MCU), not a weird Scarlet Witch movie.
I’ve always been a fan of Peggy Carter. She’s one of the only female MCU characters that have actually faced any adversity based on her sex. It sucks that Hayley Atwell has been relegated to cameos and cartoons post-Agent Carter. With the whole multiverse thing, we easily could’ve gotten a solid Captain Carter movie.
yeah unfortunately almost all suck, tbh even black widow who was prior to phase 4 wasn't that good either she seemed kinda just like a sex object, but now with the m-she-u it seems they went to the other extreme: where they aren't sexualized at ALL but still have no personality, aka same problem but in a different font
Not making Hank and Jan avengers in phase 1 was a bad move. If they would’ve add them in phase 2, then MAYBE I could’ve been alright with it but sadly we don’t get that. Instead they turned Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne into two old people. Wasted opportunity.
i really really wish that marvel would make it so that Steve actually lived in the present, he just didn't come back to the time travel platform. how hard would it be to believe Steve in another universe to go to a Tony Stark or whoever and be like "hey im not your steve rogers, im from another universe, and i need a little help getting back to the present but not exactly the present." this way, he lives his life in the present but isn't at war anymore (except for an avengers movie cameo whatever) and the only people who know is the family he would eventually build, and also Bucky and Sam. and then also, it would make Steve having a captain america shield more special. to eventually learn at the end of the multiverse saga that when Sam and Steve had that interaction "it feels like somebody elses." "it's not." when Sam receives that shield from Old Steve, then he would know, and we would learn, that Sam knows that shield is actually his, but from the future. although there is a whole bunch of other stuff i have a problem with like Steve presumably changing the timeline so them two would get married and Peggy's family would have never happened like we saw it did. my headcanon is that Steve only went to Peggy to finally get that dance, then let her move on with her life as is, and then he moved on with somebody else. also. mcu maria hill as a villain in a way that adapts and respects her comic stories... i would cum so much. god. Ant-Man and The Wasp being major players, why the fuck aren't they??? we are past The Avengers, everybody is going to grasp the concept of tiny superheroes... why the fuck didn't marvel try their hardest to make Scott Lang the leader of The Avengers after Endgame??? (since antman and the wasp were literally the two that made The Avengers a team in the comics.) instead they just threw shit at the wall.
10:00 ¿& You won't talk about the EVIDENT r*cist white-washing she suffered in the movies? I honestly roll my eyes everytime I see people(both Anti-Woke weirdos & SJW) using her as a a symbol of feminism & wokeness WHEN MCU WANDA IS BASICALLY A BLONDE BLACK PANTHER Wanda & Pietro are suppoused to be Romani, Wanda is even drawn with curly hair & brown skin & their Romani heritage is extremely important for their backstory growing up. And is amusing that they did that to almost all Romani characters in live action, since guess which Latverian citizen was ALSO was white-washed on Avengers Doomsday? (The Fox/X-Men movies are also guilty of that, but at least they had the excuse of the IP rights of Quicksilver, that's why they needed to change his backstory & rename him as Peter instead of Pietro)
@@TheLostTemplars a) alternate universe is no excuse to etnic erasure b) Since when the country of Servia & the Romani as a Race is trademarked by Fox? c) what's that suppoused to mean?
The problem is they’re not writing good characters and stories for their movie and series projects and it’s not just marvel it’s a lot of other popular franchises like Disney, they are more about the message than good writing which is the problem, they need to drop the message thing all together and work on what made movies and shows work great and that’s by making good well written characters and stories for fans to enjoy and treat all their characters from both genders equally important to the story like before, everyone wants and goes to these movies and franchises for the fun and entertainment and that’s what all popular franchises need to do again especially ones like Disney, marvel and Star Wars to be better and and what it’s meant to be, fun and entertaining
Why did Mantis stand around with a bunch of women she doesn't even know during the Endgame battle instead of fighting alongside the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy, the people she knows and loves who saved her from an abusive relationship? Wouldn't it have been awesome to see Drax toss her up onto the back of one of those giant armored gorilla-things so she could take control of its mind and force it to attack the rest of Thanos' troops?
The Scarlet Witch had the potential to be the grestest live action female superhero. Wanda had a lot of momentum behind her and the fans took a liking to her mostly because Elizabeth played tf out of this role. It makes me so fucking mad what they did to her character.
8:38 Ant-Man and Wasp should’ve been in the age of Ultron instead of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. Hank and Jan to be specific. That way it would fit more with Age Of Ultron and the Ant-Man film. Heck, they should’ve put Antman & Wasp in the first Avengers back in Phase 1.
Love MCU but theirs so much 🤣 idk what I hate worse Quicksilver and Scarlet originally wasn't mutants (seems like they might be tho) or Hank Pym being changed into this old man (😭) I remember back in 2010, 2011 being so hyped to see Giant Man (AntMan) in the first Avengers movie just to see him being replaced with Hawkeye so then I settle for seeing him on the 2nd one. But by that time he was getting his own movie now all of a sudden, we jumping straight into the Scott Lang story line 😭 All that Hank Pym lore down the drain and him being old slowly destroyed my interest in his character as a whole sadly. So No (actual) Giant Man, No YellowJacket (only in What If), No Goliath. I always thought Scott Lang was cool but it just doesn't feel like the same Ant Man, I use to fw when I was younger. That's prolly the worst. You can kinda look over most changes but this one hit.
Phase 2 has the highest highs and the lowest lows. Also, the MCU probably wanted a more action based hero than a pacifist scientist who also has to explain why he still fights all the time.
Only reason i can think of why they didn't do Hank is because the team would've had 3 super geniuses. Kind of overkill. Adding him and Janet in Age of Ultron would've be fine though
Even in falcon and winter soldier where the whole point is to replace captain america, they point out just how unique Steve was and how no one could truly replace him. But captain carter did it easily apparently.
I really think Wandavision had a lot of potential through the first few episodes, especially pushing Wanda as a villain, up until the point she suddenly becomes le hero. Completely threw the game in the second half
15:37 BTW, "Politically driven" and "Here's the evil white guy" ARE NOT TERMS DISNEY IS ALLOWED NOR HAS THE RIGHT TO USE in a show which is starred by the worst example of White-Washing in media, while also neglecting a Romani actor to play a Romani character (which at this point, there did that 3 times in the mcu, Wanda, Pietro (twice), and now Victor Von Doom)
How did Scarlet Witch's fake children come back from the dead to do House Of M? Wanda lost them back in the 80s in West Coast Avengers when it's revealed her children were pieces of the villain Pandemonium. She went crazy back then when she found out they weren't real. Also the white version of Vision also happened in WCA. He was kidnapped by AIM and disassembled. They revived Vision with the help of Wonder Man, who while dead had his brain pattern used by Ultron to create Vision. This is the reason Vision and Wanda were able to fall in love, because Wonder Man was attracted to Wanda. And speaking of Wonder Man the MCU introduced him 10 years to late. He should have been in Ironman 2 as a business rival to Tony Stark. He blames Tony for his company failing, Baron Zemo gives him ionic superpowers, and Wonder Man changes alliances while attacking the Avengers. They MCU majorly screwed up the character by doing it bacjwards by making him an actor, who becomes a superhero. Wonder Man is a superhero, who decides to become an actor.
Imo MJ has never been properly adapted into live action. I like the Mcu version but it's not Mary Jane. The one in the Sam Raimi films is played by a great actress but badly written. After all the things she experienced in the 1st film, I expected her to atleast take self defense lessons & try to become a better person. The writers didn't seem to care as much. My favorite live action franchise is currently Rurouni Kenshin. They have shortcommings as adaptations but are still great films on their own. Also, Kaoru Kamiya > MJ in the Sam Raimi Spider man films. Both are flawed but one is more caring & faithfull.
Well she tried. In third movie she cares about Peter, doesn't tell him about her problems, even forgives him for kissing Gwen learning about Marco, and throws a brick at Venom.
@@Сайтамен Not enough, what she did to John is almost unforgivable. For me Peter also became unlikable when he kissed Gwen. Idk what's up with Hollywood writers. Still love the films though. Mostly for J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson.
Wanda had the most horrible, terrible, no good, very BAD character assassination of all the female characters in the MCU. Shout out to Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy for being the best supportive love interest of all.😊
I must say the journey of a scarlet wish he’s a weird one. Something that bothers me is that her film portrayal has affected her comic character in an incredibly weird way you I mean in the comics, they decided to get rid of the whole daughter of magneto for a incredibly complex more weird, yes in the classic days, she and Quicksilver have a messy origin that keep being changed with the whole being daughter of magneto meant a lot of good stories for the character or at least memorable but after the movies decided to use her, they decided to change her and her brother now that we are on it so they are nowthis song so far actual wish is more complicated than that and honestly not all that interesting. I hear people like this version of her, but whatever the marvel is doing right now is never going to be as interesting as being the daughter of magneto.
Also, no, they never eat explain if quicksilver always have his powers because they never bother to Redcon or explain or do anything with his region. As far as we know, he was really the only sore Bible with no extra explanation of the experiments of stroker Wanda store by because she was the chosen or survive because of a hated Tony I guess like I said they never really explain it
Just remember, at the time, FOX had the license for all things mutants. Thus why they had to change the origin of the two and even had to kill off Quicksilver (as Fox was using him for their movies at the time). I'm sure they would have loved to do a whole Magneto story with them but had their hands tied.
That's a very good point regarding sharon carter. Steve shoulda retired with her while depowered/super solider serumless. Would love a video about A better endinh for steve in Endgame tho
@KnightEclipser Honestly my original idea was steve would stay involuntarily in the past but I agree that he shouldnt be with Peggy after all was said and done. So maybe the best was forced retirement. Leg injury plus loss or sacrifice the super soldier serum
Wouldn't it be more accurate to say the super soldier serum just brought out more of what was already there (regarding the person's personality)? That's the only the reason that I can see for red skull and cap ending up the way that they did (outside of saying that red skull used an incomplete version of the serum).
Pretty sure that was the explanation Dr. Erskine gave in Captain America: The First Avenger. Of course, despite so many people since then having access to incomplete variations of the super serum, none were able to produce similar results as with the Red Skull despite not everyone is as nice and selfless as Steve Rogers.
U raised a good point. Execs will shoehorn in a ton of underdeveloped female characters (don’t get me started on Monica Rambeau), then make the audience feel guilty for not liking the characters they spent next to no time on, all while sweeping decades of source material of well-developed female characters. They are very much at fault here.
The part in avengers where the women show up as a group, separate from the action and all the men, was one of the most ass clenchingly cringy moments I've ever seen. They might as well have got together and screamed 'we're here too!'. All other characters are there because they have a purpose. These women are here because women as a group are vain and require constant adoration. It was so sad and I cringed for all womenkind upon seeing that. ladies, you're not better than that, but at least pretend to be.
“I’m not the one with the guns.” -Rips Ultron’s heart out of his metallic body -Almost solo’s Thanos before he used friendly fire from his space ship to break free
11:10 Almost as if the last 25 years or so of "Marvel" content was made to mock and ridicule the almost 40 years of history that came before and that made everything so successful and popular anyways.
8:34 I think the reason why Scarlet witch and quicksilver were in was because it has something to do with Marvel trying to distance themselves a little bit from the X-Men or at least try to devalue the X-Men because of the fox deal Like around that time, Marvel was just like no X-Men only inhumans But I’m guessing because Quiksilver was cool in the X-Men. They probably wanted him, but they also wanted Scarlet witch for vision.
The main the main reason I don’t like captain carter is because I love her normal version so much. Agent carter is such an intriguing character to me because she was the OG glass ceiling breaker, they went out of their way to have a whole ‘you’re lucky to be in the room’ thing in what if and it felt silly The entire spin off series is people telling her she can’t do shit because she’s a woman and her getting shit done anyway
Can you explain more why Gamora and Nebula are done well? I'm writing a more serious, action based female character but I don't fully understand why those two are interesting but a bore, like Hope, isn't.
these two (plus mantis), have a good backstory, interesting dynamics with the other characters, and nebula especially has an amazing development going to villain to a superhero
It's a bit to say difficult to say, but I think that at least with Nebula it's moments like in the cave from VOL.2 where we can see how she is beyond the tough persona that makes her interesting writting-wise. Action characters are already cool by default, but it's the contrast between how they really are as people, what they want and what they do that either makes or breaks these type of characters (saying this because depending the type of story your making, the character *would* better off being more simple and focused only on the action) I haven't seen the Guardians movies in a long while so I can't elaborate much more or see if I got something wrong, but I hope this helps.
Evangeline Lilly, an attractive woman, was "butchified" in Quantamania. A female character can be feminine, pretty, likeable, and strong/powerful. None have to be comprised.
10:23 I actually saw this suggestion in another video made by another youtuber talking about this. Instead of Wanda taking taking control of the town herself, the hex she created would have been small only around her house, then have Agatha take advantage of the situation and make her be the one to create the bigger hex around the town, that way it could have really been "Agatha All Along"
Personality I never really like it the captain carter stuff I really need never understand why people wanted this. The first episode of what if is really the less interesting one of the bunch at least for the first group sense is basically just the first avenger but… 🤔 no it really is just the first avenger there’s no way to say anything else.
Im not finished but saying Wanda being upset about kids she only knew for a few days is not understandable is…silly. She “birthed” them lol and raised them, they aren’t goldfish from a fair. The amount of time spent with your own kid doesn’t really affect the grief you will have if they pass( miscarriages, stillbirths sorry to make it morbid). I agree with most of your points though
I’m not the creator of this video (obviously) but I LOVED Jessica jones. I am not a big marvel fan, never was and never will be. That said, I thought JJ was phenomenal start to finish. She was a very well fleshed out character who felt like an actual person - complete with flaws, many of them quite glaring, and her arcs make actual sense. I wonder if this is due to it not being typical “let’s make another box office blockbuster!” Nonsense like the rest of anything marvel related. No dipshit pandering, tasteless/incredibly bad, cringe, tension-destroying “jokes,” none of the shit that pretty much all marvel films fall victim to.
*sigh* the fact that they ruined Wanda so much pisses me off. They had a perfect arc setup for this character to start her downfall like she did in the comics and could’ve even become a villain more so than in the silly Dr Strange film.
I feel like they could have easily replaced the scarlet witch and quick silver with cloak and Dager because their whole comic origin is they were experimented on
Maybe I’m reaching but I also interpreted that scene from Wandavision as Wanda being the writer. She’s creating her own narrative & thus the show frames itself as if Wanda is writing it herself. Thats why the people trying to stop her are portrayed as if their arguments are wrong even though they’re completely sound, and people trying to defend Wanda are seen as the good ones even though they’re very clearly beating around the bush so as not to address the actual issue.
And this is also why in Multiverse of Madness the movie makes it 100% clear that Wanda is the bad guy with no ifs ands or buts about it, since it’s not being written from her perspective anymore.
@@nixuniverse5240 Well, Multiverse of Madness actually hints that Wanda was effectively indoctrinated by the Darkhold. This is reinforced with the mention of Chthon along with the multiple depictions of his forms from the comics. The movie was also originally supposed to include him, but Feige wanted to save him for something down the road from what I’ve heard.
The reason for no Gwen and her arc is obviously tied to The amazing spider-man 2 and Emma Stone portrayed a good Gwen who died with the web snap like in the comics... So no way they were re-using that storyline a few years later(Sam Raimi used it in his Spider-man movie but used Mary Jane instead and let her live .. I didnt care for the MJ in the MCU...and hate the fact they turned another redheads character into a different race 😅 this has happened alot over the years its insane... Redhead characters not being redheads anymore....MJ's defining characteristics physically is her red hair and green eyes... Nah what they should have done was introduced Felicia Hardy in the first movie homecoming...have her as Peters love interest... Make her family involved w the vulture, this destroying the relationship or straining it.... In the 2nd movie you can add a subplot of having the black cat appear...stealing stuff after her family is outed and outcast after revelations about ties to a criminal... By the third movie you can have Peter find out about Felicia being the black cat and they start the tango they have in the comics.... And for the love of everything....stop adding this multiverse and world scale threats to his solo movies.... Give him street level villains to fight and protect the neighborhood
I will admit I liked Christine's role in the what if scenario for Dr. Strange. A love he'll never have because of his need to fix and be in control of everything until he ultimately learns to let go.
1:56 "A more compelling story could've been Peggy took the serum since they were left with no other option" You mean...them losing the project if no one else took it?
10:54 We also need to remember that the same studio that used Wanda’s grief to justify all of her war crimes, treated Thor’s grief as a joke.
Double Standards, Ladies and Gentlemen.
They exist, and really suck.

@@Pathfinder-jk7gh “They'll never know what you sacrificed for them”
@@dannypalin9583 Okay, and Wanda pretty much dismissed that as soon as she did.

Well since Steve Rogers went back in time to live with Peggy and changed the past it's non-canon now...
well that's certainly the case of them not knowing what to do with the script

Gamora is..
So true
“(And it was already creepy to be flirting on the relative of a girl you once liked.)”
How?
I don't remember, but her being of a military officer rank above Captain would mean Major, Lieutenant Colonel, Colonel, Brigadier, Major General, Lieutenant General, General, or Field Marshall. Me too, bro
That's honestly a good take
If they have to nerf her powers that much, then they should go back to your first point; don't bring her to MCU in the first place.
Same applies to Dr Strange. Comics really don't know the difference between sci-fi and fantasy. With the introduction of magic, the Avengers seem pointless.
A good take
Infinite.
legit none of the mcu has rememberable female character moments
Outside of nebula
Nebula has memorable moments.
My only defense towards Captain Carter is that it’s an alternate Universe Thing that has nothing to do with the main canon, nor does it affect anything in the Main MCU (*COUGH* Wanda *COUGH*) hell, she straight up Fucking DIED in her first Theatrical appearance
This is also my Argument whenever someone tries to defend Captain Carter by saying ‘It GiVeS hEr MoRe To Do aNd ExPaNdS oN hEr LeGaCy’, like, the fuck are you talking about? That’s not Even the Same Peggy!
Edit: Alright, the Maria Hill shit just pisses me off, and is VERY sexist for a Company that’s supposedly trying to get away from it
You could’ve had one of The COOLEST and most Complex MCU antagonists- THAT COULD’VE BEEN BUILT UP FROM THE START- we’ve had so Far, And Then Basically Kill her off before we could even get there in exchange for Actor Baiting (Not bashing the casting, I love Ford, but this is LITERALLY what that is)
About Maria yeah is funny to think that her character was treated so badly she will forever be remembered as nick fury assistant (in the most simplest sense of the word) , her role is being the supposed to be contrary voice but I think they were scared of making her unlikeable so they make her have a good relationship with the other characters ,the problem was that she never stand out from widow or Colson .
With the whole multiverse thing, we easily could’ve gotten a solid Captain Carter movie.
yeah unfortunately almost all suck, tbh even black widow who was prior to phase 4 wasn't that good either she seemed kinda just like a sex object,
but now with the m-she-u it seems they went to the other extreme: where they aren't sexualized at ALL but still have no personality, aka same problem but in a different font
It really was
i really really wish that marvel would make it so that Steve actually lived in the present, he just didn't come back to the time travel platform. how hard would it be to believe Steve in another universe to go to a Tony Stark or whoever and be like "hey im not your steve rogers, im from another universe, and i need a little help getting back to the present but not exactly the present."
this way, he lives his life in the present but isn't at war anymore (except for an avengers movie cameo whatever) and the only people who know is the family he would eventually build, and also Bucky and Sam.
and then also, it would make Steve having a captain america shield more special. to eventually learn at the end of the multiverse saga that when Sam and Steve had that interaction
"it feels like somebody elses."
"it's not."
when Sam receives that shield from Old Steve, then he would know, and we would learn, that Sam knows that shield is actually his, but from the future.
although there is a whole bunch of other stuff i have a problem with like Steve presumably changing the timeline so them two would get married and Peggy's family would have never happened like we saw it did.
my headcanon is that Steve only went to Peggy to finally get that dance, then let her move on with her life as is, and then he moved on with somebody else.
also. mcu maria hill as a villain in a way that adapts and respects her comic stories... i would cum so much.
god.

Animations is always superior.
For real. Brief side tangent, but even with its flaws, Arcane is better than 90% of the live action shows coming out these days.
Why did Mantis stand around with a bunch of women she doesn't even know during the Endgame battle instead of fighting alongside the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy, the people she knows and loves who saved her from an abusive relationship? Wouldn't it have been awesome to see Drax toss her up onto the back of one of those giant armored gorilla-things so she could take control of its mind and force it to attack the rest of Thanos' troops?
that girlboss scene was SOOO pointless..... its one of the MANY things i hate about endgame.... unpopular opinion: endgame is horrible
@ItsJae_37 frankly I feel like it's popular consensus that Infinity War is more well received than Endgame
@@bemiatto67 ya
@@ItsJae_37 Not horrible, but it had many strange scenes that detracted from the experience.
The Scarlet Witch had the potential to be the grestest live action female superhero. Wanda had a lot of momentum behind her and the fans took a liking to her mostly because Elizabeth played tf out of this role. It makes me so fucking mad what they did to her character.
NGL, I totally forgot Hill was dead, she'll comeback anyways so no problem

8:38 Ant-Man and Wasp should’ve been in the age of Ultron instead of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. Hank and Jan to be specific. That way it would fit more with Age Of Ultron and the Ant-Man film. Heck, they should’ve put Antman & Wasp in the first Avengers back in Phase 1.
Yeah because I think Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are the most toxic duo in the marvel
@@srstriker6420wait really? How toxic are they? Especially in the comics.
@adrianthearmorwarrior1605 they literally dated in the original Ultimate comics, and Captain America was seen as the bad guy for criticizing that.
Love MCU but theirs so much 🤣
idk what I hate worse Quicksilver and Scarlet originally wasn't mutants (seems like they might be tho)
or Hank Pym being changed into this old man (😭)
I remember back in 2010, 2011 being so hyped to see Giant Man (AntMan) in the first Avengers movie just to see him being replaced with Hawkeye so then I settle for seeing him on the 2nd one.
Wanda’s portrayal in Multiverse of Madness was one of the worst character assassinations I’ve seen so far

Wanda is not well written, not sure why many think she is.

why are you leaving so many comments on this video
@@QarlYogurt because I love Braeden's videos & I want to share my thoughts on the media he criticizes

As far as we know, he was really the only sore Bible with no extra explanation of the experiments of stroker Wanda store by because she was the chosen or survive because of a hated Tony I guess like I said they never really explain it
@@juanbisonosuero3650 MCU Wanda is LITTERALLY a blonde Black Panther in terms of characterization
Just remember, at the time, FOX had the license for all things mutants. Thus why they had to change the origin of the two and even had to kill off Quicksilver (as Fox was using him for their movies at the time). I'm sure they would have loved to do a whole Magneto story with them but had their hands tied.
I loathe this version of Wanda.
Since Steve Rogers went back in time to be with Carter, I wonder how awkward it has been meeting Carters niece again growing up.

That's a very good point regarding sharon carter. Steve shoulda retired with her while depowered/super solider serumless. Would love a video about A better endinh for steve in Endgame tho
Steve isn't the kind of person to retire at all. He's always been a selfless person, even as a normal human.
@KnightEclipser Honestly my original idea was steve would stay involuntarily in the past but I agree that he shouldnt be with Peggy after all was said and done. So maybe the best was forced retirement. Leg injury plus loss or sacrifice the super soldier serum
Love to see that there other human being that seeks sense in this "product" D+ creates, but What if season 3 makes me give up
Disney - "If you are a terrorist but have boobs, then you are not actually a terrorist."

Sadly yes
8:34 I think the reason why Scarlet witch and quicksilver were in was because it has something to do with Marvel trying to distance themselves a little bit from the X-Men or at least try to devalue the X-Men because of the fox deal
Like around that time, Marvel was just like no X-Men only inhumans
But I’m guessing because Quiksilver was cool in the X-Men. They probably wanted him, but they also wanted Scarlet witch for vision.
Gamora: most dangerous woman in the galaxy,
Did nothing dangerous
The main the main reason I don’t like captain carter is because I love her normal version so much. Agent carter is such an intriguing character to me because she was the OG glass ceiling breaker, they went out of their way to have a whole ‘you’re lucky to be in the room’ thing in what if and it felt silly
The entire spin off series is people telling her she can’t do shit because she’s a woman and her getting shit done anyway
My only complaint is the dead of Gamora
@@PauloHenrique-ok3yb Many thanks
It's a bit to say difficult to say, but I think that at least with Nebula it's moments like in the cave from VOL.2 where we can see how she is beyond the tough persona that makes her interesting writting-wise.
Action characters are already cool by default, but it's the contrast between how they really are as people, what they want and what they do that either makes or breaks these type of characters (saying this because depending the type of story your making, the character *would* better off being more simple and focused only on the action)
I haven't seen the Guardians movies in a long while so I can't elaborate much more or see if I got something wrong, but I hope this helps.
Evangeline Lilly, an attractive woman, was "butchified" in Quantamania. A female character can be feminine, pretty, likeable, and strong/powerful. None have to be comprised.
I really didn't like MCU's Wanda.

Marvel failed their women when they made them men
the MCU would have been better off having S-tier female characters from the very start, mitigating this complaint that the MCU is now gender-swapped
Bro’s not wrong
Im not finished but saying Wanda being upset about kids she only knew for a few days is not understandable is…silly. She “birthed” them lol and raised them, they aren’t goldfish from a fair. The amount of time spent with your own kid doesn’t really affect the grief you will have if they pass( miscarriages, stillbirths sorry to make it morbid). I agree with most of your points though
Is still silly
Thoughts on top Marvel TV women characters: Agent May, Daisy Johnson, Jessica Jones, Dagger, etc?
I feel like they could have easily replaced the scarlet witch and quick silver with cloak and Dager because their whole comic origin is they were experimented on
Babe wake up Braeden Alberti just uploaded
Also the fact that Wanda thought she was giving them a great safe and happy life since she never knew they were living her nightmares all the time.

Diversity quotas, greed, and legal rights ruined these movies. They had the blue prints and still fumbled.

They might have Black Cat in Spiderman 4
I will admit I liked Christine's role in the what if scenario for Dr. Strange. A love he'll never have because of his need to fix and be in control of everything until he ultimately learns to let go.
