    Okay , I need a bit of help scattervolt, The thing is I am about to mske a pc for one my cousins, His pc budget is around 1500$ I don't know whether I should get him an rx 7800xt or a 4070 super , But he told me needs a good amount of vram and a good performance and the prob is the 4070 super is like $50 more than the rx 7800xt and its a beast buy again it has 12gb vram and it needs a 7800x3d, Or I can just get him a rx 7800xt and ryzen 5 7600x [not 7600 cuz 7600 is $10 bucks more rn]

    Here in N.Z prices for most mid - high range components are reasonably expensive. Im relatively new in this space, and is looking into building my first PC. I don't plan on playing super high-end games, but do want to have an all-round good PC that can handle modeling/editing programs as well as decent gaming performance, without having to spend too much. Im looking at possibly a Ryzen 5 7600 with the Nvidia RTX 4060, any suggestions?

    • @ScatterVolt
      @ScatterVolt  8 месяцев назад +1

      Consider the new 7600 XT or better yet, a RX 6700 XT over the 4060 (assuming Radeon has better prices in New Zealand over Nvidia). The smartest way to get around in your situation is to go used for your graphics card. That can save you some cash and still deliver amazing performance.

    I've been making my own list through my own research and when i saw that you had a 7800xt in the build for only $1200 I went to check my own list to see how it was possible since i was at ~$1200 and only managed to squeeze in a 6800.
    The differences were this.
    1. I wasn't planning to use the stock cooler +$34
    2. I planned to get the MSI MAG B650M mortar wifi motherboard since many said it was good +$70
    3. I did opt for a case without rgb so mine would be cheaper only there -$35

If he has money to spend and he wants 4K gaming, I think 4070 Ti Super is best. If let's say he has a lower budget like $750, 7900 XT is best for 1440p bang for the buck gaming performance.

    I really liked this video. Thanks man. Usually my issue is case selection. Cheap cases with no fans, and not the best air flow design can add $60-120 on a build, especially if you need to purchase a controller hub. On the other side you spend an extra $10-20 and its pretty easy to find a case with 4 preinstalled fans, which include controllers. This was good bro. Thanks for doing this.
