10 years after this movie has been released, why haven't I seen it back to back yet? And after seeing Man of Steel and Batman V Superman, I thought how cool it would be if Christian Bale's Batman faced up against Brandon Routh's Superman.

I may be late to the party, just recently got curious about superheroes.... but I'm realizing how much I love Superman!! A humble man that is genuinely good and goes to great lengths to help and serve humanity. Even though he is so different and almost all-powerful, he never displays arrogance or thinks he's better than others. He's got a heart of gold. He is selfless and compassionate. He doesn't expect praise in return. He just does what's right because that's the reward on itself. And ironically, people love him even more for that fearless generosity and pure purpose. I love Superman so much, and Brandon masterfully portrayed all his facets of personality. As Clark he is relatable, vulnerable, dorky and clumsy and sweet, as Supes he's confident, poised and assertive, exuding the healthiest masculinity, the best role model 💞 We do need Superman as a symbol of hope, as a reminder that Good still exists in the world and within us, as an aspiration of everything we can be 🙏🙏🙏

+Aquabreeze They got a perfect Lex and Clark in this. Brandon Routh almost lots looks identical to Chris Reeve as Clark Kent. Kevin Spacey is probably the only actor alive who could get close to Gene Hackman in that role.
I just wish they had a better script to work with.
On a side note, why the heck is Brandon Routh playing Atom in _DC Legends Of Tomorrow_? If you are going to have him in the DC TV universe, why not have him play..oh...I don't know...let's see here ummmm.......................tsk, *SUPERMAN* perhaps?

Superman Returns is the On Her Majesty's Secret Service of Superman flicks. The world was looking for a darker world for Superman to inhabit and what they got instead was a really good film that brought us back to a time passed. We didn't know how good it was until we got here.
