Jumanji was one of the earliest movies to successfully use CG animals in a movie. Oh sure, they don't compare well to newer movies like Life of Pi, but for its time, the animals looked pretty good! Paul was a riot to watch. The original Gone In 60 Seconds is great fun. It had the longest stunt jump on record at the time. Also, the mustang hitting the lamp post was an actual accident, not a planned stunt.
I love a good dystopian wasteland movie! Denzel and Oldman are well cast (to say the least) and Denzel directing proves he's not just a good lookin' and amazing actor but, he's got skills behind the camera! For me the first time is always the best but, it is as re-watchable as they come!

Tubi is awesome. I'm also LOVING the Riff Traxx selection on it! Thank you for your review vids! They really help cut through the noise and cut my "What Should I Watch" time down to the length of your videos instead of taking all night. :D
That was an excellent FLICK CONNECTION, Darren. Se7en is the stand-out film; however many times I watch this, I am shaken by the progress. Just amazing. Many thanks for sharing this presentation with us 👍👍👍
My go-to streaming service other than HBO Max is Tubi since discovering it two years ago. Mostly for old black-and-white Hollywood classics pre-60s, and documentaries. I've even forgotten about Netflix for the past two years.

Tubi has so many bangers!!! 5th Element is in my top 5 favorite movies. They also have The Craft, I usually get the itch to watch it once every 6 months and it’s rarely available to stream. Edit: (I wrote that last part right before you mentioned it at the end 😅😅)
I will add that Tubi has the best music-related documentaries from any other streaming platform. Some fairly deep cuts, not just top 40 shit. Also, it has a great deal of extreme sports films, if you're like me and you're into that kind of thing.
Just FYI and everyone gets this wrong, The Book of Eli (one of my all-time favorite movies) was NOT a graphic novel FIRST. There were some well-known comic guys who did concept art and a motion comic based on the movie but it wasn't a comic first. Everyone thinks it was because of how good it was and the color and style of direction. It looks like a graphic novel on film. I was surprised as well and also disappointed I wasn't able to buy "an original" graphic novel.
Sorry had to do another comment Several movies on the list share the top spot for my favs. You can't have just ONE fav movie. The Craft - watched a bazillion times over the years since its release. Saw it at the theater and owned it on VHS Deep Blue Sea - I've seen it a bazillion times. VHS, DVD, Bluray, and streaming. Saw in the theater. The Fifth Element - same thing. Owned it on all the formats, and saw it in theaters. Jumanji - Another one I owned in all formats (including laser disc) and seen in theaters... more than once possibly. p.s. Really wish they would release older stuff in theaters again. Use to have a theater near me years ago that would get old movies on film and show them. It was AMAZING. I got to see 2001:A Space Oddysey on the big screen ON FILM. Saw Monty Python and The Holy Grail on the big screen as well. I heard a rumor that Return of the Jedi might get a theatrical release soon. Fingers crossed.

Thanks Darren, love your recommendations and Tubi is one of my goto channels. Hey what's going on with Crackle, they used to have a decent selection but it's been suckass for a long time now
I chose to shave off all facial hair on a daily basis after I turned 40 as I found it's presence made me appear much older than I actually felt. I can understand why teenagers and twenty-somethings would desire to look more mature, but at a certain age most men want to look younger, and a complete absence of facial hair works wonders in this area.
If you can "count" the noun, the comparative adjectives used are "fewer" or "more". For example, "fewer" commercials, "fewer" films, "more" movies, or "more" movie theaters. And with "uncountable" nouns, the comparative adjectives used are "less" or "much". For example, "less" money, "less" excitement, "much" popcorn, or "much" praise.
May I ask in what part of the world is the movie Paul available? I agree with you on Saving Silverman. Its what critics would called misogynistic these days and also a bit crass at times. But its really funny. Two best friends try to stop the third from marrying a dominating girl. Quite funny.
Michael Biehn talks about the director of Tombstone on Inside Of You with Michael Rosenbaum. It’s pretty funny. He basically told the guy to go blank himself.

I practically wanna start a RUclips channel just so I can be the only one who says "the Mortal Kombat movie is absolutely for 13 year olds." In fact I consider it abusive to limit your child's horizons, before they get jaded. During that precious age where we still think the good guy might lose. Why waste that short window on family films? I find it ironic that during the 70's and 80's, when parents were much less strict about the content their children consumed, kids were measurably, demonstrably and substantially less violent than the sheltered kids of today. Yet I'm not implying a connection either way. Now I did keep graphic sexual content away from my kids, but never just straight nudity. There's a difference! Just take a breath, people. Leave the false outrage to the religious fanatics. We got too many real problems.
