You know any skaters from Michigan? Used to hang and skate a bit at endless summer skate park.... Detroit suburb? I had my friend give me his old board when Powell sent him a new one!! He taught me how to tighten trucks and he was sponsored by another wheels sponsor....just curious, 2 or 3 of skaters got sponsored and moved out to Cali🫶🏼✌️😉
Being a skater back then wasn't Supreme super fuckin' cool like it is now. Drinks thrown at you, called every name under the sun, fights. Ahhh memories.
Can we get some love for our collective boy Rog? Sometimes he seems a little down-ish, and we don't see or hear much of him in these episodes. But Rog, I love you. We all love you. Thanks for being the skateboarding encyclopedia that you are, and all the work you put into this show. You're a good one, Rog.
This is the first time I hear Omar Hassan talking. Before that, I suspected he was a tough guy, kind of crazy gangster… Now I confirmed that yeah, he is all of that XD LOL but also… such funny person! entertaining, with charisma and self awareness. Now this is definitely one of my favorite episodes, I've watched it 10 times and I laugh every time :D. Then I searched for his video parts and OMG… mad respect! Half-pipe, big concrete bowls… sooo gnarly!
Copers were a part of skating when I was a kid. Just looked up Z Rollers to see what they go for now; about $140 for and old set. The look back on Vans was a trip. The flow was real on this one. Definitely would be perfect for The Experience. O.H. is part of skate history and still a beast. Nine Ball, hahaha.
They were at least a hundred bucks a pair back in the day...can’t remember exactly but I remember my friends and I laughing about them and being amazed by how expensive they were
Thank you Omar. Such a legend!!! And thank you Roger for always bringing the old-school knowledge to the table for your co-hosts. The education on copers was hilarious. I'm surprised no one mentioned lappers. Another great episode boys!!
this was the closest we've gotten to an "on location hard line interview" with gator. keep up the good work reporting on the juiciest skater in history
definitely one of the more unorthodox episodes but equally intriguing. omar seems to be riffing off of himself the whole time as he's telling one off stories and taking turns into smaller stories and he's hilarious through out.
Omar, rhino, Milton, and Chris russel came into our skate shop a few months back, and it was one of those moments where it hit a few moments after they came in and we talked for abit. Some of the coolest down to earth guys I’ve met in the industry!
To funny Omar! We all dumpstered dive at Vision! LOL! Trading our chipped boards in for seconds all day long also!! :) Great interview man!! Super cool!
I've been setting up my David Gravette Wooly Bugger board, then look up and see it on the wall behind Kelly! Glitchin the matrix! Support your favorite skater #TeamRog
"This is just awesome! I missed a demo where he was at because I wanted to actually sk∞ and a accomplish something rather than seeing someone accomplish something but the amount of valuable history I am learning by listening to him is just priceless" Yahweh bless Mr Omar Hassan! -sk∞+
So good and so many memories! Münster Monster Mastership 1989, Tracker , Blockhead, Z Roller, rails everslick to wax. This was our youth 🙏🔮 greets from germany
Can we pleeeease try to get Chris a set of z-rollers so he can film a nosegrind?! I think it would make an epic segment like the one he did with Mike V. ✌️❤️
Drop a like for the boys at the nine club!
Floyd Totoro more like drop a mic
@@Maostodon a $425.00 +tax microphone. I trip out on how money fixated Crob is w every guest- So how much money DID you make for ..........?
Rand al'Thor I'm honestly with him on that, talking about money shouldn't be that much of a taboo.
@@Maostodon Same, I appreciate the honest line of questioning and I love it when people answer.

Roger loves it when he has someone on that talkes skate history with. He gets that twinkle in his eye.
Omar kind of sounds like a modern day Steve Olson. This is a compliment.
Calling Omar a "modern day" anything is kind of... a compliment, I guess!
colossalfart nah nah. I get it. I think.
Dude. I said the same thing
Man, Omar is even more of a legend than I thought, straight shooter
Omar is a legend, and he’s so chilled out. He still kills it in 2020
Omar is freaking crazy. I got my ear buds in and people in the office are wondering what I'm laughing at. Awesome episode guys.

It's so great having a uncle who goes on podcasts and is this talented I'm so proud of him ♥️
The guys from this era are so definitive. Even the way they talk and carry themselves. It must of been brutal back then.
Brutal equalled fun back then😁
Was just thinking that!

The best is when he yells “MICHAEL!!!” At the mic hahahahah 🤣🤣
Such a rad Episode... love it. I had a blast watching it.

That scalping at Downtown Showdown did a number on this dude

Dude this guy kills it in pools ,,,,
Vita Jason Dill's were my favorite shoe. I wish i had a pair now.
i always see this man as intimidating for the way he approaches his skating,LOL.never would've known till today
The Omar 2 were my favorite shoe of the era. I had at least 3 pairs with the black shoe with green trim and white laces being the best
