    Hi sweetie, ... well, if I were your grandma... I would be teaching you to make these things. When my children were young, they learned to do lots of crafts, because I think they help out in life in other ways as well. When you learn to do crafts, it the knowledge often helps in other areas as well! And now, I teach my grandchildren as well. My 8 year old grand-son made the "Abstract Art", and it looked like an adult made it! And he was SO PROUD!!.

    I seriously watched about 7 videos before this one and just could not get my roses to stay put. but doing what you do in the video at the very beginning adding that little tail piece to hold help me, and I just pulled a little extra material down to help me hold better and now my roses are turning out great! thank you so much.

    Thanks very much! Every Christmas we used to get presents from our great aunt with these little roses made from recycled ribbon from the year before. I never learned how to make them before she passed away so I'm thrilled to know how now! :)

    OOh.... don't give up Angelpie... keep trying, and say fold away from you, roll toward you as you do it. You will get it... I'm sure of it. You have learned much more difficult things than this, and you will feel a sense of accomplishment when you get it!!

    Thank you for sharing this technique. I tried to look for this type of tutorial a couple of weeks ago and could not find anything. I wanted to make a corsage for my son's date for prom, but was able to make some nice.

    Well, it all depends on how big you want your rose.... for a tiny one, 6 inches, for a medium one, 12 inches, for a larger one 24 inches.... and so on... Have fun!!
