I wish I could visit Iran, but as an American, it will likely not be possible for me to travel there for many years. I have some Iranian friends and speak a little bit of Farsi; and all the Persian people I have met are very hospitable.
I hope things go well for these people.

I'm a 21 year old American, all of the Iranian people I've met were very kind. I could relate to most of them because we had similar childhoods, and enjoyed the same things growing. They were hardly different than any of my American friends. It is sad to see the situation in Iran. I wish to see this beautiful country one day.

hey, if you are religious, by all means practice whatever you want, that's an individual right but I don't like enforcement on others. A couple years back, I tried visiting a temple in AP, Southern India which did not allow women without dupatta/shawl inside and they denied me entry. I turned around and walked away, it wasn't worth stepping into the temple. Temples in my state don't have this requirement btw, so I felt very offended, I walked away and plant to never visit this state again. I can only imagine if this requirement is extended to entire country, I would leave the country than comply. This sentiment applies to Hijab too, if you like wearing it by all means do, it's your religion and belief, but if someone doesn't want to wear because they are areligious (like me), don't force them.
