that woman is a true artist - her hotel is gorgeous and I would have loved to visit if possible - I hope her and the democratic-seeking people of Iran survive and thrive
I wish I could visit Iran, but as an American, it will likely not be possible for me to travel there for many years. I have some Iranian friends and speak a little bit of Farsi; and all the Persian people I have met are very hospitable.
I hope things go well for these people.
Your evil country has for many decades been making it almost impossible for them to survive. I'm sure they don't need your visit.
I'm a 21 year old American, all of the Iranian people I've met were very kind. I could relate to most of them because we had similar childhoods, and enjoyed the same things growing. They were hardly different than any of my American friends. It is sad to see the situation in Iran. I wish to see this beautiful country one day.
Beautiful hotel and beautiful people! All the best ❤
Thank you Vice for shinning light on the issue. It must've been ridiculously difficult to get this documentary done.
The side of these countries major media would never show you, it's always about conflict and never about the humans and beauty of their society, thank you vice
that looks beautiful, i rly hope iran recovers from the political and economic repressionit is facing
we hope the west finally stops this homeless problem in freezing weather, lol
Recovers LMAO,
As an American, my heart goes out to the women of Iran, as well as anyone who opposes the corrupt government they are under. No one should endure this sort of hell. We hope freedom comes one day for the people of such a beautiful country.
Freedom to die of not being able to afford healthcare like in the us ? No thanks ! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 keep your freedom
@@gehtdichnixan446ever heard of this thing called insurance..
The US healthcare also technically free if you're poor..
@@gehtdichnixan446still far far better than Iran
what a joke. You think America is not corrupt? pick a book buddy By freedom you bombing them and stealing their resources? you failed in Afghanistan. Embarrassing
😂😂😂
Wow, that yoghurt merchant at 4:35 has a very distinctive call! I hope Ravi doesn't shut down, it looks absolutely beautiful and I would love to visit one day. ❤🇮🇷
Lol do you speak Arabic? I wonder what that kind of noise meant.
Ikr sounds beautiful like a unique bird call
@@soccerguy325iran people don’t speak arabic. Their language is persian.
Arabic? Dont you know what is iranian language?!
@@maryammaple How tf would us English-speaking Americans know the difference between Persian and Arabic? Do they know the difference between Spanish and Protugese?
I hope the Iranian people find their freedom, soon. I would love to visit.
What freedom 😂
That’s a beautiful hotel.
Bring back #Iran1970s
When it had freedom.
@@davidz3879 how do you define freedom? lol
It’s the anti-Iran propaganda season, so take everything on Vice with a grain of salt.
hey it's not our problem us took your land and you have to clean toilets for the houley, lol

Famous for its WINE
That is probably the thing most people associate with Shiraz.
Modern Shiraz wine has little connection to the city it's named after, the wine is basically French. Shiraz, the city, is famous for its poetry and culture.
No Shiraz wine is famous in Iran too. My family makes our own.@@rodmaknouni
Brave of these women to go on camera without their hijabs
The situation is not as dire as western media portrays. At most these woman would get a small fine.
Hope this ppl will be free one day from religious fanatics nonsense. 💪❤️❤️❤️
Is there a Go Fund Me link? This is something I'd love to donate to. Free Iran from Islamic dictatorships/theocracies. This family seems incredible and I hope their business survives and thrives - FREE IRAN!
The family starved itself by striking. Maybe you should free yourself by getting yourself something to do. The problem with Iran is Western sanctions. If you want to free anyone, free Saudi Arabians. They're the ones being controlled by a religious fundamentalist state.
@@masterlightjames950lol have you met anyone from Saudi complaining?
When the floods in Pakistan happened I ordered handmade local fabrics through the Internet to support the community. Maybe there is something similar we can do, book a night at this place, even if we won't be staying there?
My heart goes out to the innocents in these countries with tyrants for leaders. It’s a police state with a harsh version of Islam as its reasoning. No one can get ahead, only the corrupt.
wait, i thought us was the biggest police state, are you hitting that krak again? lol
The biggest tyrant is the uk and USA. Thanks to operation Ajax Iran lost their parliamentary monarchy. Don’t act like the west has no tyrants. They could always remove sanctions so women and children who need medication or a better life won’t suffer and die
That's very stupid. Iran has a lot of subsidies for its people. What has affected its economy is tons of Western sanctions meant to cripple the country.
Iran is doing an excellent job
Long live Islamic republic of Iran
#
are your counties any better? Crime is much higher in west than in Iran. And druggies are 10 times more common as well
I know a sister she lives in Shiraz . I hear that Shiraz is really very beautiful and its peoples are very welcoming and hospitable. I pray I could visit someday.
Farsi is such a beautiful language 😍
I don’t think it’s going to change anytime soon unfortunately.
Finally an interesting and relevant video from Vice.
I'll come there......
Good👍✌️
Prayers from Pakistan
Introduce Shiraz and not mention its wine?
What a lovely place.
so sad

Crazy
I really appreciate the very good archives that the young generation today appreciate the efforts that the Pahlavi royal family has done for Iran and. Look what Iran was and now unfortunately what is wrong again, I enjoy 2 months I see something new beautiful. Light on darkness is victorious Long live the Shah and mother of Iran Farah Pahlavi
I thought protests were last year.
Why was there a war with them
gop's .... coup iran 1953 ?
So why did she refuse the reservations? Why would she business?
In solidarity with the protests.
The reason is use sanction
Where is gaza news vice?

Iran is such a beautiful country with great people who fight for their freedom. But ruled by bloody islamic terrorist basically.
Hope Iranian people will get the freedom they so much deserved. This country could be the wealthiest in the whole middle east and end the era of Peugeot 207 being a luxury car..❤
us and uk are great countries, we hope people can someday find a place to live insead of those freezing tents and bridges, lol
@syncopatedfeb4770 what does that have to do with this video
@@TryABaconSlice because it's the US and Europe who have for many decades been slamming sanctions on Iran in an effort to destroy its economy. If you're looking for a terrorist government, try the Saudi. They're the ones who run a religious fundamentalist state.
@@TryABaconSlice he is just another whataboutist. Living in a tent in sunny California still looks more promising than living in a islamistic prison.
Unfortunately protesting hurts hospitality industry.
yeah businesses fail and it sucks
It’s a new business which are always in risk.
I am disheartened by the hateful, racist, homophobic comments on this thread. It’s amazing what people will say when they are able to hide behind their keyboard.
They should ask China for a loan. Thats where Irans Government gets there money.
I'm seeing a lot of women aren’t wearing hijab outside in this video, does that mean women can choose to not wear hijab now in Iran? Did they get a little more freedom now?
No, they are still required by law to wear a hijab. This is a form of civil disobedience, so they risk getting arrested.
the law is for muslims
Y dont u cover unemployment in the USA?
y fly half way across the globe?

hey, if you are religious, by all means practice whatever you want, that's an individual right but I don't like enforcement on others. A couple years back, I tried visiting a temple in AP, Southern India which did not allow women without dupatta/shawl inside and they denied me entry. I turned around and walked away, it wasn't worth stepping into the temple. Temples in my state don't have this requirement btw, so I felt very offended, I walked away and plant to never visit this state again. I can only imagine if this requirement is extended to entire country, I would leave the country than comply. This sentiment applies to Hijab too, if you like wearing it by all means do, it's your religion and belief, but if someone doesn't want to wear because they are areligious (like me), don't force them.
@@meteor541 you may feel this way but it only aims to indoctrinate someone into following their 'cult' by ostracization and being hostile. If the aim is to enthuse young and the informed, it has already failed in doing so.
from the way a news organization tells a story, you can tell if its really a news organization or propaganda arm.
Big love from Israel 🇮🇱
Hopefully I can visit that hotel and meet amazing people and culture.
If only you could make these videos on western countries and homelessness and how many ppl go to sleep starving without shelter talk bou the drug problem the west has sort your own backyard out before you go trying to sort other countries out saussages
The harsh sanctions r necessary to force the Iranian public to revolt against the IRGC and to try and establish democracy. Mind you, the west is also not innocent, it is responsible for Iran becoming autocratic in the first place when it brought back the Shah
I wish to visit Iran someday soon, I did live in Iran in the Shah of Iran good times, and 3 years after the Revelution, sadly had to leave beautiful Iran, I do speak Farsi fluently even though I'm not Iranian, love the people, culture, and mostly the delicious food. Cheers from Canada
