Kayaking the North Branch Root River - Chatfield, MN - Moen’s Bridge to Highway 16 Access - May 2023

Put-in at Moen’s Bridge in Chatfield, MN which has plenty of gravel parking, a porta-potty, and a path to the river. Take-out at the Highway 16 access in Lanesboro, MN. The put-in is a dedicated access point with a paved parking lot, great path to the river, and a restroom. The river level was 8.77’ and was absolutely excellent. There were no obstructions in the river and the whole trip was picture perfect (minus the overcast weather and light rain).
