It's so pretty! :) I recommend making the cake the night before and letting it set in the refrigerator overnight. This way, the cream will be more stable. You should add the strawberries on top the next day. Enjoy!

Good D🍓Y Chef, As soon as I saw the strawberries I knew that they weren't store bought. I get so aggravated with the jumbo Foxy or Driscoll brands when 1/2 the berry is white topped. I had wild strawberries growing around my barn and they are so small but so sweet. I could get as much as a gallon if I got there B4 the birds. I usually made a pie and a cake. This berries you had were perfect . My local Amish markets carry fresh picked in the summer, 2X's the price of commercial but worth it. Have you ever tried to grow a Peach, Pear or Apple in a bottle.? You find a bloom near the end of the branch and slide a clear bottle over the branch remove all other blooms. It's a little work but fun. Try to secure the branch to another branch. Seal the end of the bottle with tape and the fruit grows in the bottle. When ready pull out branch and cut fruit, fruit will stay in the bottle. Fill with wine of your choice or maybe some 💙💛Vodka. I do like to put fresh sliced Peaches in Burgundy or Chianti. I really love your strawberry shortcake and would like to use your recipe to make a birthday cake for my nephew in 3 weeks... so I hope you see this🤔 I'll be covering the cake with red fondant. I'll be adding a strip of white fondant across the cake and placing the Liverpool football team emblem (made of rice paper) on it, in the middle. A few small footballs will also be added. My brother specifically requested a strawberry shortcake (which I've never made before). So I have a question for you, if I may. Will the cream-filled layers hold the weight of the fondant? Secondly, as I won't be able to crumb coat it with cream, I was thinking of using a nice recipe I found online - white chocolate buttercream under the fondant. I'd appreciate your advice, please🙏

It's such a delicious cake! You can try using a ziplock bag. Just cut off the tip and use it as a piping bag :)
