What a cool way to make this look great. Rolling the fabric is neat tip. thanks 👍what a neat stitch. Your family has many gifts of your sewing and how lucky this girl is
Hello Laura, this paper trick is so simple ! And an easy way to mark the inner parts of a square. I'm going to remember this trick. But just in case i forget the details. glad i can refer back to this video Thank You.
Off subject but I absolutely adore your shirt! It reminds me of vintage tapestries. Beautiful. Always enjoy your teaching style. It is unhurried and complete so easy to learn from you. Happy quilting.👩🌾💙🧵🪡
I have a Janome memory craft 6600 with a semi built in walking foot. And you have SO INSPIRED me to try that gentle curving quilting!! Thank you so much!! ( I actually tend to forget about all my creative stitches 🤦♀️)
This is very timely for me. I have been stalled on a gift quilt I am making & wanting something other than straight line stitching but not free motion anything. Plus you have an easy way to mark for the stitch lines. Thank you!
Great video, thank you. I like the serpentine stitch, I have it on my machine (Janome 8200) and have used it to quilt pot holders. It was very effective and looked nice. I haven’t thought of using it for a quilt. I’ll be making a house block quilt soon, I might try it. Blessings to you ❤
Interestingly enough I just finished quilting a quilt using the serpentine stitch on my Janome 9450 in straight lines and turned the quilt over and quilted a design on the back of the quilt in between the line. I wonder where I got that idea, oh from one of your teaching videos……❤❤
Thank you Laura. I have enjoyed your channel for years now. I have a question for you or your viewers. I was gifted with some finished quilted (fronts and backs) triangles. I am trying to find out how do I put triangles premade like this together. Thanks so much.
Laura, this is really a fun way to quilt . I love it so much I have a quilt waiting to be finished and I will use this technique. I noticed that you did not start in the center, is there a reason for that? Thank you for the great video.
A very timely video. I’m getting ready to quilt a wall hanging. With the Bernina walking foot we are limited to the 5.5 mm stitch width. Have you ever successfully quilted using the dual feed and a D foot so that you can have a 9 mm wide serpentine stitch? I just got a 9 mm machine because I want to quilt wider serpentines, but I’m afraid the fabric won’t feed evenly.
I have a kenmore 385, from the 1990's. There is a stitch in my manual called the two-point box stitch. I can make a serpentine stitch from the two point box stitch by increasing the stitch length and width. I don't know what kind of machine you use, but maybe there's a way to mimic the serpentine stitch with other stitches already available to you...
Interesting paper method! Love it!
Love your high tech measuring tool ❤. I'm glad I have lots of them in my printer that I use 📜🇦🇺
Thanks Laura! You've given me the perfect way to quilt my grandsons large excavator paneled quilt.
So much fun and a great way to get a project finished. Love this technique.
Great technique and beautiful runner! Thanks a lot!

Love your videos!!!! I see that you are using two marking tools in this video, can you tell me which ones are you using? Thanks a bunch!

Hi Laura! love your videos. I’m wondering if you know who might carry Daisy and Grace Templates ? So appreciate your time.
Lovely project. Question: What color thread did you use? Pink for both sides? Thank you.
What brand of marker are you using?
😊what kind of chalk were you using
I love that stitch. But I have a question - you started stitching in a corner. I was taught to start in the middle. Why do you start in a corner?

You can do it!
I have done two baby quilts now but I only did my line in one direction, will it still wash well?
It all depends on how much distance you have left in between the lines. Your batting package will give you recommendations
Thank you for the paper trick. What did you use for your batting?
Fine if you have that fancy machine 😔
