Just saw your interview with Dee Burks. That was great! So glad you two got together. A neighbor where I used to live was a master quilter and made the most beautiful quilts that were works of art. Quilting, like some other things, are almost a lost art. Wishing you well with both your quilting and this channel.
Thank you for teaching this free motion stitch! I am a new quilter and I think I will try this on my second quilt. You have given a idea that I can do this. Thanks for the idea. Keep up your great ideas.
Hi Jacquelyn, I’m a big fan of serpentine stitch for quilting too, looks so much better than plain ole straight lines. I was so happy to have someone suggest it to me a short while back. I’m glad you are suggesting it to others. And I love your Brother sewing machine, Happy Quilting!
Awesome . I found on my Janome , using zigzag and stitch width and length adjusted to quilting I like. It works wonderful. I just completed a double size quilt. I will continue to do this forever I think 🤔
I love your channel ❤. You are a wonderful teacher, as a beginner quilter I have learned a lot from you. I love the tutorials and will be making one soon, it’s like sewing with a friend , it’s great following along 😊. Thank you 🙏
Your quilt is beautiful! I just found your channel. I am a fairly new quilter, but experienced sewist. I want to finish all of my quilts myself, rather than sending them out. I like all of your tips for supporting the quilt. I will look for your other videos.
You are so right, but when I was practicing and trying to figure how I wanted to quilt my quilt; I discovered that I loved the look better with just a regular foot. Thank you for watching!
Such a pretty quilt. Love your idea about a different stitch to add character and style. I may try that next time. The colors in your quilt look very pretty together too.
I have a quilting stitch on my Brother Innov-is 5100 . The serpentine stitch is 5.00 width and 2.0 Length but I move up to 5.25 width. If you have this machine the stitch is Q-18
I used one jelly roll (Benartex) that I got at an estate sale and all the rest was in my stash which I cut in 2 1/2 inch squares. The only thing I bought for that quilt was the sashing. Thank you for watching.

Thank you for your kind words and thank you for watching!!
I use my adjustable ironing board as an auxiliary table while quilting on my domestic machine. Nice quilt. I love using the serpentine stitch.
Thanks for watching !!! Glad you have that extra space and glad to hear that you like to finish your quilts yourself!!
Very good instructions. I’ve used the serpentine on small things but not a larger quilt. You give me confidence!
Thank you, Sandra for watching. Go big!! You can do it!!
Love your quilt. Turned out so beautiful 💖😊
Thank you my dear!!
Beautiful quilt! Using a walking foot would help with puckering.

Looks absolutely beautiful 😊
Thank you for your kindness Dorinda

Thank you so much for the encouragement!!
What does the serpentine stitch look like on your sewing machine? I just found you. Love how you explain what you are doing.
Dorothy on my machine it is a wavy line. I put my settings at 5.25 for length and 2.0 for width. Hope that helps. Thank you for watching.
Thank you. I will try a baby quilt soon.
Thank you for watching and good luck with your baby quilt. I know you can do it !!!
What is the setting you used for the stitch?

What is the name of the fabric squares you are using? I love the colors.

An ironing board helps
That’s a good idea!! But, I got rid of mine in my last move!!
The camera wasn't close enough to see the actual result.
Sorry about that. In my next video when we do the binding, I will be sure and show a close up.
