    I had to laugh when Manny tapped on the window. This gets more attention and a chuckle and so much better then directly asking for people to subscribe. Thank you for all you do. I have learned so much from you.

    I’m so happy to have found your RUclips. My neighbor just gave me her Janome 7034D Magnolia. This is all new to me but you made it look so easy. I’m going to attempt the tissue holder tomorrow. ❤

    Thank you so very much!! I just got a “brand new old” Janome 134D serger!! It an oldie but a goodie... i was so shocked to unbox it and find it out that it is brand new, never been opened or used!! I got it for $50 at a yard sale a few doors down from my house!!!! I was so excited and happy...but I was also very nervous to use it for the first time as I’ve never even seen let alone used or used a serger before... Sheryl to the rescue!!! You put my mind at ease with your always thorough videos!! As always you helped save the day... I just love watching your videos, I always learn so much from you, so once again you thank you so very much and God bless you and your family!!! Much love and many prayers Jen from Bakersfield Ca

    I've a Brother 1034DX and love it. It's my first one. Should have bought one years ago. It's entry level but I'm happy with it. Thanks for the ideas. If you make the tissue holder slightly larger and overlap it you make a poo bag holder. When I started using mine I used different colored thread in each needle and looper. It made it super easy to see which one needed to be adjusted because each color of thread would tell you if it was the Needle or looper and the exact one. Can't take credit for the brilliant idea. Got it from another seamstress. Thanks for another wonderful tutorial.

    I have enjoyed you tutorials very much and go to them frequently. I'm a beginner sewer/quilter which I have taken up since retiring Dec 31, 2020. I always wondered what happened to your right hand and you made a comment about not being able to hold/pinch due to your thumb. I wanted to applaud you for still doing what you love---- this comes across beautifully and for giving me the grit to do what I want to do. I have a very bad shoulder and elbow on the same arm . All I have to teach myself how to overcome my minor disabilities. Thank you very very much and may God bless you. 🙏

      Hi Able. I had a spinal cord injury which affected my right side. The ability to walk again came back pretty fast but my right hand not so much. Only my thumb works. I can do almost everything I was able to do before, but I had to find ways to do it differently to get the same results. I'm glad you are learning to sew. You will get great satisfaction out of it. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍

    Loved the way you hid the thread tails. They have always been a bother, I have just cut them off, hoping nothing unravelled. Looks messy though.
    From now on I will be hiding them, thank you❤

    I cut my burp pads in a figure 8 shape. Sits nice on your shoulder. And I don't have a serger so I sew them right sides together and then turn them and topstitch around them.

    Thanks for this awesome serger tutorial. I have made those tissue covers for a long time but I have never used my serger for them but I sure will be. I make them and donate them to the nursing home where I used to work for the lady residents. Anyways my main question is is when your surging on the burp cloths and the receiving blankets which stitch are you using a three or four thread overlock. I also have a baby lock serger but mine is the evolution. I would love the triumph or the ovation for that throat space. Thank you again for spending your time doing these tutorials and I just so loved your teaching style.

    I'm brand new to serging. I loved your headband project and thorough instructions while watching you actually make the project itself! Now, when mine was finished of course it looked like a newbie made it. Because of the thickness when bringing the 4 together should I have adjusted anything? It really bunched up and didn't seem to want to feed through and then one layer was elongated. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Love it! Will keep for myself and wear regardless of imperfections! Thanks so much!

    What to do with the tails? Not for this project but in general Im struggling- making bows and bandanas and Im not sure how to finish the project.

    • @TheSewingRoomChannel
      @TheSewingRoomChannel  7 месяцев назад

      Hi Natalia. I assume you are asking about the tails of the serger threads. Use a very small crochet hook - insert it into the seam about 1" long - use the hook to pull the tail through - then clip off the excess. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching💗and happy sewing😍
