Take away all his powers now. Every executive order should be reviewed by Congress within 30 days. A simple majority should be able to override the president's executive order.

I think Forbes coverage is great, but we'd love if you were to take the banner down so we can see the name of the speakers vis a vis the nameplates

Trying to get the Congress to agree on anything on a timely basis is impossible. But certainly "Emergency Declarations" that go back over fifty years should be ended.

We've been lucky? Gee I don't know what's worse laws that allow presidents to commit with essentially our crimes against the American people under a temporary illegal loophole or, or a president that commits and supports and protects others that commit crimes against the American people and he is never held accountable? Because I would say one is not necessarily better than the other. in the end, it's the American citizen who pays and pays dearly.

AGREED! However, it requires a Congress with enough courage and sense of responsibility to actually DO THE JOB THEY WERE ELECTED TO DO! I haven't seen that kind of congress in years. They have no guts. Their focus is instead on getting reelected. "Forget doing what's right." They're more concerned about maintaining their social position.

What about the Trading With The Enemy Act which was amended March 9, 1933 as the Emergency Banking Relief Act??? That emergency declaration is still in effect and was also "exempted" by the National Emergencies Act? That's an 80 plus year emergency! How does this not enter into the discussion?
To relegate the 1933 emergency declaration simply to comments on IEPA is intellectually dishonest. This committee and its panelists should be ashamed for its omissions of the truth.

Look at the face of Gary Peters. Does it look like the face of a criminal?
