    I could see difference straight away. Spta are softer so when you squash them it takes much longer to return to original shape. That means they don’t last as long and they don’t cut the same

    FYI for those asking: I have these exact same SPTA padsin this video, exact same style. This style is Blue - Green - Yellow - Red - White from course to soft. The blue is extremely course. I think this set is not available now.
    It seems the newer ones they sell are Green - Yellow - Orange - Blue - Red. I love the yellow one in my old set, and the green is nice too. I'm ordering a set of 5 new yellow ones. I hope they are the same as the old yellow.

      I see on their website the yellow are stated as medium cut, does it the same with rupes yellow which they call as a fine pad ?

    I Use Blue and green for 1st step from 2 step correction . More cool running than microfiber cut. But if the clear coat hard n very hard it can become 1 step correction on light colour paint , if lucky it be work at black/darker paint and LSP ready

      They are very decent pads, HexLogic. Extremely tough pads for sure! One of the very few items I occasionally buy from the Chemical Guys. I love their Honeydew SnoFoam and I particularly like to catch them when they are having great discounts. It is a great opportunity to buy HexLogic pads!

  • @Jeff_Seely
    @Jeff_Seely 2 года назад +2

    They do look practically identical. How does the hook n loop adhesive hold up to heat on the SPTA pads? I bought some 3inchers a long time ago and the hook n loop adhesive separated, or I'd still be using them. Also, those pads had a milder cut than the some of the premium pad competition. If you consider them durable, I'll give em another shot! Thanks!

    • @DetailingBreakdown
      @DetailingBreakdown  2 года назад

      They will be milder, I have never had any hook n loop problems but I don’t over heat them either. For cheap pads they work well in my opinion

    Between yellow, green, white and blue pads, can you list those from the most aggressive to least based on your experience sir? I heard people complained about the pad hardness incorrectly labeled by SPTA themselves and makes it more confusing for customers to buy their pads. Thank you.

    • @DetailingBreakdown
      @DetailingBreakdown  3 года назад

      I have so many pads it’s hard for me to dig all these out. But their hardness is only really different from the softest to the hardest. The middle ones are very similar. Blue would probably be the hardest. I don’t remember the others I’m sorry. But they are not that expensive and you can buy them for cheap to try out.

    Hello sir please can i ask? I am trying to order some of those spta pads. Their website sais that the next product after the red waxing pad is the...yellow pad as we go up yo aggreasiveness. I was confused because usually the white is less aggreasiive.
    At your experience after the red wax pad...goes the white or the yellow as the next level of aggreassive? Thanks

    • @marioskosmidhs9454
      @marioskosmidhs9454 4 года назад

      and i can see the original rupes line says that white is less agreassive i the line so i confused with spta website because they listed them...oposite......
      white as more agreassive than yellow!!

    • @DetailingBreakdown
      @DetailingBreakdown  4 года назад +1

      I just felt them. Feel about the same(yellow & white). I’m not sure which has more cut. If it were me, I would buy the yellow. But they are the manufacturer and maybe u should listen to them. But they feel about the same

    • @DetailingBreakdown
      @DetailingBreakdown  4 года назад

      True, the SPTA line of pads is not a big difference in the middle range like Rupes. They are very similar feeling in the middles range pads

      @@DetailingBreakdown Hello dear sir. I received today my SPTA order. ( Rupes like line) . I ordered 25-30 pieces total because i change them often during polishing).
      ( We have avaliability problems with bug brands for months in my country).
      5inch version. White soft finish polish par seems on , decent velcro and performance.
      The yellow one ( i can tell the difference with the older rupes yellow except the maybe better black velcro of spta now) i liked it decent pad. Teh rex waxing is great for just waxing!!.
      I received by my mistake on the order the coarse blue, OMG how much harsh par it is!! I scared to use it!!! If it get hot it softens a but very very stiff!!!
      ( I dont have the green one). I still think that my orange LC hdo/sdo/force pads are maybe better quality, and noone of those spta i have now ( blue,yellow,white) is not same striffness like oranges.

    According to your video finally i bought spta pads from this line. They are great. I bought the yellow ,and white.
    And accidently they sended me also many of the blue very coarse ones.
    Can i have your opinion for those very coarse blue ones? They seem to harsh on the paint.
    Can i ask your opinion.also?? About the green ones??? Do you use them?? I feal that they are close to LC orange force pads as about the stiffness. I am thinking to get rid of the blues and buy some greens instead.
