I am a full black out kind of guy,
But the mate grey and mate white look amazing.
I put 12K miles on 5 months, i couldn't get my butt off this, way more comfortable than any harley under 11K, or any Yamaha.
I rode 110 mph , and the vibrations where minimal,but as with most bikes, it takes a minute to adjust your butt to a 30 + minute ride

I went looking at a few bikes yesterday. Getting back into riding after 25 years. Went to look at a black phantom and aero, a boulevard m50, Vulcan s.....saw the matte white phantom, sat on it, and well, drove it home yesterday afternoon. Looks much better in person then the pics online. Mine had 0 miles too, battery was not even in it. And the exhaust sounds better then I thought, might just keep it on for awhile. Will probably to a full exhaust change in time. And surprised me, even being conservative till broken in it is peppy. I was a inline 4 guy in past, was concerned it might not be enough. I have a bummer knee and back and wanted to pick a lighter weight bike then my past bikes, and at only 5' 6" did it want to tip toe at lights. I'm no spring chicken anymore lol.
They really are great bikes. I'm lookincg at a new bike here soon too
Put a set of black streetrod slashdown exhaust w/chrome tips and fi2000r processor on it....much better.

I just bought the 2019 Honda Shadow Phantom in matte white. There are a few differences. The pipes are blacked out instead of chrome and it has a fairing on it. It is beautiful and rides beautifully as well. I will enjoy this bike for a very long time.
Sounds like yours came with aftermarket pipes. Guessing you bought it used, right?
People tend to customize their bikes. Free upgrades are always nice.
Oooh I love it in white. Mine is a 2015. They only had silver and black in that year.... I've been thinking about vinyl wrapping mine in white. Looks so damn good

I have a matte black phantom, but I gotta admit the white looks sharp! Some custom black pinstripes would look sick

The white color is pretty cool. I have a 2016 phantom murdered out in black which I prefer though. Getting Vance & Hines black pipes next to complete the look and agree black pipes would be good on yours. The OEM pipes are whisper quiet which I kind of like so the V&H may wait. Recommend modifying the seat for something like Mustang seats, and a sissy bar. The ride is better for my wife. The OEM seat was a bit thin, ok but the upgrade is easier on her posterior. Anyhow, enjoy the bike and modifying to your taste.

If it's white it's not a Phantom. It's a friggin Ghost! They should rename it the Shadow Casper...
Technically, its black and white. Only the tank, the front and rear wheel fairings are white. Everything else is identical to the black one. It would have been great if the blacked out the exhaust instead of chrome.
It's a phantom for the blacked parts especially the engine

Debating on either a Phantom or an Aero ABS, also thought about the Suzuki C50 as I am 5’5” but love the bigger bikes. Don’t like the build quality and price hike of HD.
Love the bike!! Its comfy. Nice seating position (5'11" 200 lbs). Low seat. Easy ride. Doesn't really like freeway speeds. It'll do it but she screams. Quick question. It sounds like it makes the same clicking sound mine does. Clicking from the motor somewhere. Is that normal?? Its driving me nuts thinking its something bad.
My ctx does it too. Seems to be the valves or maybe a timing chain sound but honestly I'm yet to have any problems. I'd like to say theres nothing to worry about but you know how that typically goes lol.
@@CR931 Yupp. Guess we better just keep an ear to em. I did read somewhere that if it starts to sound like 2 spoons hitting then we have a problem. And all the videos I've seen about shadows most all of them seem to have this click. So I bet it's a tensioner or something just rubbing. At least that's what's gonna keep me sane.

You should never turn a bike off by the kill switch other than emergencies!

Not being rude or anything. Just curious. Been riding for years and ive never been told that.
The only reason ive heard is the kill switch has smaller more delicate components and is more prone to breaking than the actual key switch.
No keyless Go in 2019?
Not on that model. I may be wrong but I believe the only bike offered in keyless is the goldwing lineup

Nope.
no gear indicator, fuel gauge or tachometer. I ended up getting one, and I barely started riding. I'm quite happy with it. I thought those things were important but not really. Once you start riding the bike, you get use to it and start figuring out what gear you're in.

And she gave me a couple of 10 minutes ride, and i felt pretty good, i actually think is less vibration on the back, so the driver ass always takes the beating
I have one of those! It's sitting on a parking lot, at a restaurant. It won't start again. So, my son and I are going to get a trailer to take it back to the dealership again. Did I mention mine was brand new? Save yourself some heartache and don't buy one of these turds!

Shadow Phantoms should ALWAYS be in "Black". Don't like the white.
