Does anybody else notice that at 15:54 when asked what his favorite part of his work is, Eugene immediately goes to criticizing something and pointing out his frustration and difficulty rather than something positive. That sense of self--criticism is so deeply ingrained in him... it's sad because of how great he is. So I am proud that he ends the video on a positive, reassured note. We love you and your work Eugene!
It’s super common with artists and that is exactly what he is. Ask a writer what they liked about something they wrote and the first thing they will think about is how it could’ve been better.

"I'm what you would call a... a fraud?" That really cracked me up
I love how there is everyone else’s art and then there is Eugene like *I am a god at everything*
Kat he pretty much is
He's Asian after all.
leafybushy it because of the war.
Ikr?? his work is just sooo good
1,000th Comment Like LOL
Mile’s face : “they dont pay me nearly enough to do this “
Sam: lovin it, killin it and enjoying every bit of it
When Ned whisper “I’m getting frustrated and I want to give up” I felt that
Oh yeah that's a full on academically talented kid mood. "I can't do this on the first try so imma quit now okay?"
"Frustration is sooo good"
Can I get some of whatever she's taking?
Xanax
Elene Kaldani lol it’s a fucking joke
Honestly also nice pfp
Okay but If we’re getting real though it does push you to do better if u don’t let it hit you and make you give up
It's called, trying to be optimistic instead of wallowing in self-deprecation. We should all try!
"I am not Ned the Try Guy, I am Edward For'ma'i'r're'''''"
No, you're Nedward.
Nedward 😂
Eugene: “I’ve never taken a formal drawing class.”
Also Eugene: **is exceptionally good at drawing**
Exactly!!!
Edit: I searched for this comment Eugene was the best one there, he was able to get the faces right!!
He said he’s done it on his own time, and you can definitely teach yourself
speaking as an asian, it's called side effect of being asian
@@bluey7272 i was gonna say speaking as a gay, its def the gay audacity to be good at creative things with no practice
@@Pandemonioxo lmao I'm asian n also gay
You guys should try to recreate Bob Ross paintings next
Ava Pfluger Omg i love yr pfp
@@kate3808 Thanks! I like yours too
They did do one where they were drunk and/or high about six months ago.
They did!

so we aren’t gonna give credit to miles, sam, and will for sitting there for an hour lollll
erica styles 10 Minutes
Carrie Tucker wait what
Carrie Tucker no it was an hour
Especially Will tho with his arm in the air
I thought she said „this was your first ten minute sketch“
The girl: “Nud models”
Eugene: *smiles*
Ned: “What!”
Zack: “are we allowed to do this?”
Keith: :/ “how naked will they be?”
Nud
Ned
Omg
2:34 this ain’t aging well AT ALL 💀💀💀💀😭💀
Keith, you are honestly NOT a bad artist! Don’t sell yourself short, man!
I was stunned when he sounded disappointed, his Miles was actual perfection.
Unless its foreshortening.
I found his fruit men the best out of everyones, its got a sort of german expressionism to it, i really love it
He can’t sell himself short he’s to tall
Preach!!!!!!!
Eugene: "we're going to learn to draw, and then sketch 3 of our Male staff"
Keith:"AnD ThEiR mAlE sTaFFffFfFFFFssSSSs"
"I drew the grape boy... Too far from the banana man"
it sounds like some secret war message omg
@Chara Dreemurr HAHAHAHHA😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
They should make a red underwear that says “does it make my butt look big?” for Ned.
Can we make a petition for this?
Like... just for Ned? lol
I noticed that too, and it's really sad.
I definitely picked up on that! It broke my little heart 💔
It’s super common with artists and that is exactly what he is. Ask a writer what they liked about something they wrote and the first thing they will think about is how it could’ve been better.
Did you notice though, the after that his homies came in and built him up? Hes always the hardest. But I think he is the most sensitive and the other guys are really in tune with that and build him up the most. So damn sweet.
I think honestly that’s how most serious artists are we usually point out or mistake first and then possibly what we think is positive
Can we talk about the fact that this is the first video in quite a while where Ned didn’t talk about his wife and baby😂
Omg how did this get so many likes thank you so much
Maria Metuzale the aliens abducted ned and replaced him with a guy that doesn’t have a wife or child
Where was Ned? I only saw Edward
Edward Fúlmere
That worries me
THANK GOD
Ned: *doesn’t have a clue*
Keith: *doesn’t have a clue*
Zach: *trying to find childhood passsion*
*Eugene: killin it*
5:50

You kidding? Keith's final life drawing was killer.
More like Keith self deprecating himself entire time despite being decent at it
wizardjokes yeah it killed my expectations
i find keith’s final drawing actually really good tbh, there’s a lot of flow to it and it’s almost minimalistic. I find his proportions to be well balanced too, which is usually pretty difficult for beginners so kudos! I wish he wouldn’t beat himself up so much abt it bc i feel like he’s got potential in it.
“Hi, my name is _________”
No one:
All of the try guys at once: “HiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiiiiiiii”
I missed them doing that
Slim Shady
Viper753 I thought the same thing when I read it 😂
I love how Keith made a dirty joke about drawing the fruit...and accidentally spoiled the twist for himself.
When the men came in you could hear Eugene’s fake laugh
ClimbTwo lmao yea he was disappointed that they weren’t naked
He planned it tho...
I love how Zach compliments the others art, like I feel like he really thought about what he liked instead of just being like "that's nice"
For some reason it made me really sad when the teacher asked Eugene what his favorite part of his drawing was and he replied with what the worst part was -- Eugene is so hard on himself and I feel like he never gives himself praise and it makes me so sad
Naomi Zarin he’s asian, what the hell did u expect?
Especially since he actually did really well. I think with no time constraint it would be perfect. I hope they all continue drawing cause they all have potential to be really good artists.
I noticed that too. It's just so sad how he points out his mistakes when he was rhe one who did the best drawings iut of all four.
nah i feel like he just wanted to outshine the rest and he realized he didn't do as well as he wanted to
My mom never praises me because she said that if she praises me then I’ll get comfortable and won’t try hard. So now I’m pretty much heartless and I never praises myself and just tell myself the horrible part that I need to fix.
Eugene plans a date for the try guys and try wives!!!
this needs more likes so they can see it and do it !!!
Yes yes yes!
Yes
YESSS
That would be hilarious
Keith is a better artist than what he gives himself credit for
Right?! I'm impressed
I actually loved keiths last one
Ikr like I read a book one time that had illustrations that were basically exactly like his final picture and it was super artsy and cool
He’s SUUUCCCHHHH a Gemini. He’s used to being good at things, and so when he’s not the best at something he stops doing it and beats himself up about it.
Yes!! His last 2 drawings were soooo good!
Can this woman be my life coach? She has such positive energy and I need that in my life.
I'm gonna need Rebecca to come encourage me in all aspects of life.
When the male models showed up, it looked like a Fruit of the Loom commercial
When the Try Guys are only in their underwear, that's a Fruit of the Loom commercial alone lol
It reminded me of the Wiggles 😂
This is probably exactly why they went with a tomato instead of an apple 👍🏼
Jill Creasor why did i think your profile pic was ed sheeran lmao
15:52 "What's your favourite part Eugene?"
"I'm really bothered by trying to nail those legs cause they're coming toward you, that's what I found most difficult."
-This is a quintessential Eugene response. Ignore the positive question to give the most self-critical response.
God I love him😂
Nobody's talking abt how nice the teacher is?? She literally finds the beauty in everything??
True art teacher.
She is seriously the BEST teacher! I love how she uplifts each of the guys and finds the positive in all their work.
As should a teacher anyway. But that's not the case 😔
I mean I think the "best" teacher also knows how to politely critique to help you improve too
@@acaciarogersart She did tho
@@Someone-gn4st a couple times but not nearly as much as would have been needed. She did that thing some teachers do where they avoid critiqueing those who need it most like beginners. Almost like they dont take them seriously. Treating them like children.
@@acaciarogersart I mean, in this case these guys aren't really looking to go into art as a serious profession or anything. At mist a hobby, so critiquing them a lot is really unecessary.
everyone’s talking about Ned’s turtleneck, but why is no one pointing out Zack’s artist hat???
tae bae I’ve haven’t notice Ned’s turtle neck sweater, I’ve only noticed Zach’s hat.
“Nude models”
“What?”
“Naked men”
“ W H A T “
the teacher hyping up their drawings even tho theyre not the best is soft arts teacher energy and im here for it
Ok can we just talk about the fact that Keith says that he sucks but I’m the end he draws really good faces?
Amanda de Jong 😂every artist ever
Real talk spend 2 minutes in the art community and you’ll learn it’s a skill nobody is born with, it has to be learned
all my siblings are really artsy and i can say that this is very true. also is that bassie in your propic?
Well kinda true but unfortunately/fortunately gifted people can learn skills much faster and easier than the average people, and also, there's a limit where hardwork could take you.
@@fartyfat6539 In all honestly, I find it the opposite. Talent can only take you so far. The person born with artistic talent who only draws once a month won't ever beat the person born with none who works every day. Talented people may get a boost, but it doesn't mean they win the race yknow?
debatable
@@bearwithatophat345 yep true, but the most likely scenario is the gifted people, ie: people w talent in art are more likely to draw than the average person.
Can I please buy Ned’s still art of the fruit on a T-Shirt? I love that he wrote out “grapes”....I really want to wear it
Actually, yeah. I would too

Ok, but Zach's childhood art works were just screaming Picasso energy tho!
Also, can The Try Guys do an appreciation video of Sam's eyes, cuz they're MESMERIZING!
the second one was nightmare fuel for me...
He's gorgeous. I can easily see him doing drag.
I *loved* Zach's childhood art - and his sketch of their staff too. He still has that crazy, chaotic vibe that he had as a kid. I'd like to see what kinds of aliens he'd draw today.
hi uh keith's last sketch is like.... ABSOLUTELY AMAZING??? i know he said he's not good at drawing but i love his last piece so much i think it's amazing
wilson is trying I totally agree! somehow the way he drew miles was one of my favorites
ani Keith’s art is my fav out of all of them!! I think people who say “I’m not good at drawing” are only convincing themselves they’re not good
agreed, the way he cast shadows, his judicious use of lines and the acknowledgement of the space between the figures and within the room make me think that keith would be an excellent sculptor
Keith is actually such a talented artist, he really has a distinct, elegant style. Sidenote: def bringing that art teacher's energy into 2020
Can we take a moment to appreciate Ned’s GIANT signature on that still-life
i need someone to gif ned saying “i’m what you would call a, uh, fraud.”
Woah loads of likes and 0 comments
Kendall Zylstra a t shirt lol
I feel like not enough people appreciate the fact that Zach is a fashion icon
FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT
right , he’s been a fashion icon
The reason Eugene is so good at art is that all artists are depressed.
I'm not, I'm a professional artist.
