    i bought two of these and two extra batteries and a charging station for the extras, this is the best light I have found and i have a dozen of the others that have failed, this is the light you have been looking for.

    I can attest to Klarus's build quality having used the XT11 continually since 2011 :)

    I've had the Klarus 950 lumen flash light now for about 7 years and NO problems at all. Its a GREAT light. They are the only company i'd buy a light from. I bought the 950 Lumen when it was the highest available at that time and its amazing. Even till today i'll show my law enforcement buddies and they all say "wow omg that's brighter then the ones we use" and its only 950 not 1100 lumens. I'm about to upgrade to the 1600 lumen Klarus light.

    Not losing contact for physical lockout isn't because of the springs, Ben, it's because the tailcap's threads aren't anodized.
    I like this one in a defensive standpoint, and could use one of them. Definitely an upgrade in that field over my old TN12 2014. Unfortunately, I'm in big time financial pickles: country's facing its biggest crisis ever and I'm in the midde of getting my first very own house. No flashlight for me save for a Convoy C8 since it's on such a big sale.

    I have a klarus XT2C. I love this light. It's got a smaller bezel on it but is still 1000 lumens with 2 123's. Same features as this one as well. I'm very impressed with klarus so far

    Too much for an old man... confusing as hell, unless you have the instructions with you each time you use the light! OMG... thanks, Ben... I'm sure that others will find this a great light possible for them. Your reviews are always most appreciated.

    klarus xt11s is top top shelf. I'm getting myself one but what keeps me from putting that money on the jetbeam 3m pro ? both 1100 lumies, both look exactly alike. the controls dept imo goes to klarus. JB is a bit unconventional. a bit weird. unscrew the head, then screw it tight, then click and loosen head ... ... I'm not fond of that.
    so it comes down to which has a tighter ,farther beam to spot?

  • @Renovatio2

    Sorry if this is off topic and sounds like a dumb question. I'm just starting prepping. While I know NVG Gen 1 is meant to be crap would it not be better to have even basic NVG rather than a flashlight in a SHTF scenario (as an individual of course as groups will benefit more from a flashlight). I'm considering situations where you are trying to avoid others (or even engage them in self/family defense without being seen) who might pose a danger during SHTF and thinking a flashlight would be more likely to give your position away.

    • @livingsurvival
      @livingsurvival  8 лет назад +1

      +RenovatioJuris i would say you could prep that in addition.

      +Living Survival Cheers. Awesome review as always and thanks for the help in the gear prep. Just ordered the XT11S using your code. Much appreciated Ben. Guess its time to hunt a basic NVG to go with it. I'm just making excuses to feed my gear addiction but theres worse things to be addicted to :)

      I Thought it was POCKET FRIENDLY? YOU MEAN ITS NOT??..,,
      I Thought it was to Small which is why i wasn't planning on buying IT?
      However Seeing THAT YOU Just Said THAT,.. makes it Sound bigger? Like there's Still HOPE? Because if it were Beyond POCKETABLE Then i'd be buying IT,.'
      I Even asked People here IF It IS as big or bigger then the XT15 but no one answered me YET?
      Love the looks and Wish OR Hope to hear that the Head reflector is anywhere between 45 To 50mm I Would be Thrilled,

    Help me decide please.
    I am currently looking at the fenix pd35 tac, nitecore p12gt and klarus xt11s. I want a tough and reliable flashlight for outdoor use. I like the smaller fenix and nitecore models and not into rechargable since its easier for dust and water to come through and i think its a weakness. fenix and nitecore are known names for quality but im not so sure about klarus and its quality. Help is appreciated.

    Always like to see how the new lights stack up to my old ArmyTek Wizard Pro ($65) @250 lumens for 8hrs. Its only 48 grams but it's not USB rechargeable. So, what would be interesting to see is some reviews on powerbanks that are made of exchangeable 18650s. So that you have the option to recharge phones etc or switch batteries out as in the case of long thru hikes like you mentioned you're gearing up for when you immediately need a newly recharged battery (such as if you were down in a cave for a long time or whatever) Powerbanks such as the Aurabuy Tomo Smart 4 X 18650. That way since powerbanks eventually lose their capacity to recharge over several years, you can just replace the batteries instead of having to buy an entirely new powerbank

    • @livingsurvival
      @livingsurvival  8 лет назад

      +Austin Dory I'd rather buy a new bank after a few years. Technology keeps improving.

    • @austindory7788
      @austindory7788 8 лет назад

      +Living Survival So you just carry extra separate batteries for when you use a light for a long time and then need new batteries, or are you just hoping that doesn't happen?

    • @livingsurvival
      @livingsurvival  8 лет назад

      Austin Dory Yes i mainly use 18650 and rechargeable AAA so I always have a few spares not too far away in addition to a battery bank.

    Good torch cool. I can recommend fenix pd35 version 2. ..... and fenix LD15R....... also Ledlenser TT. Those 3 are great. Ive tried/tested all the new olights equivellant and fenixs power torch broke day 1. Too much power in it to handle. ..... the key to a good torch is its high mode lumen level. This is just right at 500. Any more and over heat and need more power cell. Or too low and no illumination/not adequette.

    Great light just a shame they did away with the magnetic charging connection, the usb socket will wear out just as much as removing the end cap and removing the batteries for charging. I wonder why they went down that path, I don't get it.

      +Popcorn Shiner It honestly doesn't matter much if the cap falls off. I've dunked it in water without it and it works fine. Long term in water might be a different story or if you got it all full of mud. Works for me and I like the micro USB since I have those cables for just about everything.

    Hi, I very much like your tactical videos. Would you mind mentioning feet when you do measurement? It is just a little easier for me to visualize things in your review if you said something like "300 meters or 984 feet". This would help me to focus on your vids 100% and not have to pause them to go do the conversion and come back. Some people learned in meters and can visualize in meters, but I and maybe a few others didn't. Thanks and keep up the good work!

      If you ever feel like adding to the collection, give the Strion a shot. I'm a Tech at an auto shop and from what I've noticed a after having worked at different shops is that the Technicians carry the Stinger as their main flashlight, Strion I don't see as much it's smaller but perfect to keep in your pocket or carried by a a holster.

      Arthur Garcia there are so many great flashlight manufacturers out there now you dont have to pay streamlight or surfire prices anymore for great or better lights. I have been using the MF Tactical Pro Tango U2 5Mode for about 4 years now as a NYS Corrections Officer and i love it. Its 1100 lumens on high and runs $99.99 and it is built like a brick shit house. Only downside no usb charging port. I also use it for hunting and tracking. I am going to buy this Klaus light though and try it out for my bugout bag since it has a usb charging port.

    I saw a tactical flashlight online that takes 3 AAA batteries. I'm guessing it's not as good as they claim it to be.

      👎Don't get it, a gas station flashlight would be better.

      I guess my suspicions were right then. It was one of those sponsored links with references to people on social media saying how great it was. That alone was enough of a red flag.
      Though comparing the current limits of an 18650 to a standard AAA shows how shit the light source would be in comparison.

    here we go everyone is reviewing this! I guess everybody is getting them and asked to review it! probably 3-4 reviews on it a day like you couldn't turn on your RUclips without wading through the Ti3, Ti4, Ti5, TC10 V2, so now here we go! The XT11s! It's priced too High!

    • @livingsurvival
      @livingsurvival  8 лет назад

      +Mark Martin first the price is right considering it does more than a fenix or nitecore. Not sure who else reviewed it, I saw WeAllJuggleKnives to a unboxing of sorts but didn't show any modes or anything.

    EPILEPSY WARNING FLASHING LIGHTS AT TIMES. I am pretty shocked at how few of these torch reviewing channels don't give people warning prior to strobing or just flashing the torch lights, I don't have epilepsy myself but I know it can and does kill people.

    a high intensity light is NOT turbo. Turbo is a high pressure propeller to ram air into an engine....I am bring peevish....& I do think "turbo " for light intensity is just stupid.

      Why not, " Maximum brightness, " or "brightest." ?

    so who is making money selling Klarus XT11S claiming that it's worth $80.00 and of course you can get special deal on it, just like all of the other scammers on tv and the internet selling these same type flashlights and claiming they are always worth much more than you pay.

    • @livingsurvival
      @livingsurvival  8 лет назад

      they are quality lights. much more so than cheaper options out there.

      I am ignorant as to Klarus products. Is it that much better than the mh27?

    • @toulor9999
      @toulor9999 8 лет назад +3

      +Ja Si I wouldn't know how to compare the two since I haven't yet to get my hands on the XT11S but judging from this review, I prefer the XT11S over the MH27. MH27 is too heavy and UI is horrible in my opinion. The beam also has a lot of artifacts since it has the RGD integrated.

    Sigh how times can one over us the word tactical. its a flash light its not a tactical flashlight, there is no tactical mode or super tactical mode come on dude we know your the type wearing the big tacticool watch with the tacticool cargo pant type but over using the word is ridiculous. its not more special if it was just named the black flashlight verse tacticool flash light

    • @livingsurvival
      @livingsurvival  8 лет назад +6

      maybe you should look up the word. a light with easy access to strobe which MANY police officers use upon entry to a building provides a "tactical" advantage.
