It won't affect them that bad as Nin will definitely address the account Switching over to play what they have invested in & a great trade in value to go towards the upgrade if they decide to trade it in. Ppl need to relax instead of thinking bad.
I disagree. They can announce it in January and release it in, say, April. In todays day and age you don't need that much time to promote a console, especially the successor to the hugely popular Switch.
6v6 is crazy considering ow2 got away from 6v6 because it was hard to keep track of the match, but I never thought that sounded right so maybe Valve can show ow that 6v6 is fine
It's pretty annoying when I hear "chip from 2015/chip from 2015/chip from 2015" It doesn't mattery when the chip is from - it's clear that great games can be made on it with quality devs. I wouldn't be surprised if the next Switch chip lasts 20 years.
While the first statement is true, the reason people discuss it is because of how it impacts on the scope of the next console. If the Switch 2 is using a chip designed in 2021 and modded in 2022, it will have an effect on how long Nintendo can provide the system with new experiences. The fact of the matter is that the Switch has basically stopped recieving big third party releases as of 2023, and the longer Nintendo sits on a finished design for the Switch 2, the sooner that the same will happen to the successor console. You are probably right though; the significance of the "2015 chip" is likely overblown.
So this current FY is entirely Switch only. Nintendo is prolly thinking they can hit the magic unit sales number with this borrowed time. I'm just worried that the Switch 2 will end up woefully underpowered for it's time all over again.
Leaks even more so! Also the formality people laying out 2025 every comment.. I mean is it a crime to just say well possibly March or even sometime next year?! Are we that dumb that we're not gonna know what year it will be smh
1:09 Honestly I had a blast with Concord, preordered it after a few matches in the beta. This game is getting unfairly dunked on based off the initial CG trailer, which is unfortunate. I think if people actually give it a shot they’ll realize it stands out as a sort of Halo/Overwatch/Destiny PvP mix. It’s really its own thing, the gunplay alone feels fantastic.
Maybe live service games need better actual rewards...hear me out. Concord could start it off with anyone that completes Both Seasons get the new controller by redemption.
The Switch 2 not coming out before April 2025... I mean... I thought we already knew this. Nate the Hate I think was thinking somewhere in Summer 2025 or something. Either way... I figure we're all really good at the hurry up and wait game.

Switch 1 announced in 2015 as code name NX and released in 2017 Switch two will do the samething announced in 2025 releases in 2027 Perfect timing for switch’s tenth anniversary what better way to celebrate that then with a new switch That was always my speculation and it seems like it’s being validated based on those rumored headlines
Nintendo literally announced the switch 2 would be announced by mar 31st 2025, and later directly said it wouldnt ship until march/apr 2025 at the EARLIEST. How is anyone still surprised by this? Expect a summer/holiday 2025 release. If it comes out before then, it'll be a pleasant surprise.
Delays on new IPs dont bother me anymore, my reasoning is there is some much more riding on a new IP to be good because unlike say GTA6 or a God of War they lack name recognition outside of the developer and publisher so not much pushing people to their games exceptthe game being really good so taking their time imo makes alot of sense
Back in 2022 when i was working at Best buy. I spoke to a rockstar employee. I ask him why there was no plans for red dead redemption coming pc . Said the the higher up never think about releasing on PC . Even staff have been asking to put the game . And rumors of being hard to port it . wasn't true .
I remember doing an in house play testing of an alpha multiplayer game many years ago for a game dev I use to work at and I remember a bunch of textures and other stuff being missing but it was just an alpha. However, I've yet to see that game release so chances are it either got scrapped somewhere between now when I left 4-5 years ago or it's still deep into development. Either way, if this Deadlock game is still in alpha then of course there's gonna be textures missing.
@mikeuk666 I did not say world wide release. Things have rarely had a "world wide" release exactly because of this. A little more thinking and less taking offense would be more constructive.
Spawnwave is showing once again he has no business acumen. Launching a system in the summer would actually be highly successful. The reason why the other systems don't is because holiday season is more successful. Further, switch to will be a hybrid system again so people can take it with them on vacation easily.
Hopefully they release the switch 2 early next year so we can pick one up the summer of 2026 when there’s enough to actually purchase at regular price.
I very highly disagree. The New Nintendo console will not be announced before the holiday season. They'll announce it in February at the earliest. They're not launching this thing until the fall of 2025, there is absolutely no reason to announce it before this holiday season. Especially since in a time where Switch sales are declining and they absolutely need that last boost of sales from a holiday bundle before releasing a new console, there is no way they'd announce it this year.
Why do people need max settings for a game. That's why games be taking 8yrs to come out and then people complain. 1080 is fine and you don't need maxed shadows or ray tracing. So stupid. People have wanted a new switch 2 months after the switvh came out. We all know it's coming and now a few extra months are nothing to nintwndo. Everyone need to just stop and let it happen. I can see nintendo beimg like "people want new switch, let's make th wait"
If i were nintendo and the plan is to release the successor in early 2025, I would price cut the current skus as follow: Switch Lite 175 Og Switch 250 Switch oled 300 That way, it compensates for the foreseeable decline in sales because the new one will be out in a few months after announcement.
Leave it be. I told you reveal is in Feb to March window. Switch 2 is a nintendo Q2 period launch. So either July Aug or Sept. The current switch family consoles about to take a 50$ price cut each. Then they are being bundled with an evergreen tittle. Prime 4 is the Big March 2025 game. We are getting Prime 2 and Prime 3 between now and late nov early dec. Prime 4 is getting bulk of its sales on switch 1. So scince prime 4 is March 2024 expect switch 2 in july most likely week 4. This gives switch one the price cuts for this holiday and prime 4 driving start of 2025 q1 for nintendo. Expect DLSS 4k version of prime 4 for switch 2 in later half of 2025. Mario 3d game launches switch 2. Ocarana of Time 4k is holiday 2025 game. This puts prime 4 switch 2 in sept or dec window. Mari Kart 10 is 2026. Animal Crossing nee game is 2027. Switch 2 first holiday launch season has Mario 3d , Zelda Ocarana 4k, prime 4. Mario, Zelda, Metroid driving launch year. NSO on switch 2 expansion pasd will feature 4k uphrade visuals for all switch 1 evergreen games. Nintendo has 10 million switch 2 units ready to sell launch year. Scalpers wont be an issue. Switch 2 will sell 22 to 25 million units each year starting its second year of life. Our current switch accounts digital libraries move forward with us.
Wassup Jon(SW). We will have too see how the Concord Roadmap goes going forward after the 1st Year or so. Replaced Demo I would very be up for. More than likely I'll Play Black Myth on the PS5 but I may check out the Benchmark Tool n see how it'll Run on my Laptop, not very well I am guessing lol. Deadlock is another Game we will have too wait n see how it goes when it is fully Released. RDR1 on PC would be fantastic. Yh I was expecting the Switch 2 too Release April 2025 at the earliest but late Summer could be likely tho guys. Gamescom are always only ok, with Games we already know about and afew little Surprises. Good Poll, I am thinking a Score of 87 Overall. I am expecting it too be Sekiro Style of Gameplay, abit like Stellar Blade was aswell. Nice Comment, if the Switch 2 Releases in April - August next Year, they will have too Show it off sooner rather than later regardless of the Holiday Sales and if it's Holiday 2025, then the Switch 2 won't be Shown till Jan - March 2025.
I like how you mentioned that only 12 people will play Concord. That game is sent to die. If I was going to play Black Myth: Wukong, I would play it on the PS5 since I doubt my computer could handle it. I have doubts about Black Myth: Wukong winning GOTY but if it's a Souls game that might happen. I don't want to play another Souls game. Lies of P is too damn hard and I don't want to play another game like it. So Black Myth: Wukong is not brutally hard? If it's like Rise of the Ronin or Jedi Survivor I might try it.
I do not understanding why Publishers like Take 2 Or other publishers are not making their games NATIVELY MADE FOR PC IN THE FIRST PLACE????You would think any and all games made for the consoles WOULD ALSO BE AUTOMATICALLY BEING MADE FOR THE PC IN THE FIRST PLACE IN GENERAL CONSIDERING THAT PC GAMING IS THE TREND FOR THE FUTURE OF GAMING IN GENERAL????!!!! I mean are the games not made for PC in general because of all the different specifications that are required for PC or Is It Too Hard To Make Games for PC???? Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2, Should have been made for the PC Since Day 1 when released on consoles!!!! Common Sense!!!!
I want the Switch 2 sooner than later. But I don't think GTA6 will change much about it. I don't think GTA & Nintendo have similar customers. I know nobody who plays Nintendo, & also GTA. Ofc, that's not everyone, but in my eyes, their fanbases are vastly different.
It seems that Nintendo won't be able to sell the 13 million consoles they projected for 2024. So it's perfectly reasonable for them to delay the announcement and launch of the next console as most as possible, so they don't miss the holiday season sales.
Have you seen all the directs & games announcements for the rest of this year to justify that they won't meet those sales? There are still surprising games they can drop within this year to keep excitement going that was announced in past directs. Just need to wait & see this year through complete before jumping on anything negative as next month they could sell more than last month, etc, so not everything has been put on the table for ppl to eat at.
I love the Switch. I want a Switch 2. But goddamn people need to calm down about it. Just work, play some games and pass time. Eventually the new system'll be announced and you're gonna be so happy that you don't even realized it's been 10 years already since that 2024 Furukawa tweet.
It wasn't an agreement anyway shape or form. They made a statement no one was in any way required or Bound by it an agreement in denying it would have shut the game off. Valve is aware of this. Games have been doing it for decades.
I find it interesting that you disagreed with me about Nintendo waiting until after this Holiday season to start announcing Switch 2, and now it seems signs are pointing to that I was correct, or at least you now agree with the reasoning I had around waiting until at least the new year to start promoting. Today's CotD effectively repeated what I stated before and now you agree. It's always so hard with this type of speculation. We'll never know for sure until they actually announce, of course. But I will reiterate that I am highly suspect that NIntendo will want to affect their Holiday 2024 sales by announcing a new console they are not going to release until 2025. Will announcing January 1, 2025 for a March 31 or April1 release be a quick turnaround, probably. But I also expect them to have everything in place ahead of time. I suspect they are trying to head off the reselling situation from when the Switch was released by getting more inventory ready to ship prior to announcement. I find the biggest issue with console releases is that these companies always underestimate demand. Grotesquely underestimate. Remember Sony with PS5? They are more available now, I can walk into Walmart and 3 out of 5 times pick one up if I wanted. But even 2 years ago that was not the case. For the original Switch, I had to wait in line starting at 3am outside Target to even get a chance at one. Only to miss out because I was too far back in line for the tickets they handed out. It took months to get one. I can't imagine Nintendo intentionally making that mistake again. Too much money gets left on the table.
Furukawa is a bean counter. Got started as an accountant, and he's obsessed with having things begin or end(Mario 35) at Nintendo's Fiscal year mark. The year might change but this is HIS release window for anything big.
If the Switch 2 doesn't come out soon, the Switch 2 Pro rumours will get delayed.....

That’s why it won’t be announced until Feb or March of 2025. Then we wlll see a release in mid or late 2025.
It won't affect them that bad as Nin will definitely address the account Switching over to play what they have invested in & a great trade in value to go towards the upgrade if they decide to trade it in. Ppl need to relax instead of thinking bad.
Please, Newswave not Rumorwave...
Agreed! He should leave the rumors for his second channel
There are more people working on Concord than there are playing Concord.
Reveal in January and release in late May or early June. Plenty of time for advertising.
The fact that we got Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC before the first game is crazy.
It's pretty annoying when I hear "chip from 2015/chip from 2015/chip from 2015"
It doesn't mattery when the chip is from - it's clear that great games can be made on it with quality devs.
I'll be surprised if the game makes it beyond Season 2
6 seasons and a movie
season 2?it be a miracly if it makes it for a month
I can't believe you guys milk the switch 2 rumors for 7 years
So this current FY is entirely Switch only. Nintendo is prolly thinking they can hit the magic unit sales number with this borrowed time.
I'm just worried that the Switch 2 will end up woefully underpowered for it's time all over again.
Oh well. I still got juice left in my day 1 ish Nintendo Switch.
I honestly am over switch 2 news at this point we will hear about it when we hear about it just leave it at that
switch 2 rumors are getting tiring to be honest
Leaks even more so! Also the formality people laying out 2025 every comment.. I mean is it a crime to just say well possibly March or even sometime next year?! Are we that dumb that we're not gonna know what year it will be smh
Nintendo be like: "We ain't releasing no switch 2 until y'all shut up about it" 😂
1:09 Honestly I had a blast with Concord, preordered it after a few matches in the beta.
Well then Fuck Nintendo for making us wait so fucking long.
I am predicting a September 2025 launch. It's the end of summer and the start of the fall holiday rush.
@@LiteralTable756 You're gonna buy it anyway... don't lie
Anybody who pays attention knows that's where the smart money has been this whole time.
Nate the Hate is a know-nothing nobody.
Just got back from vacation for my 36th birthday, so I’m getting caught up on all the spawn wave goodness.
Geoff, you had me at Civilization VII
deadlock is actually pretty fun. as someone who isn’t into moba’s this one has really got me into it. it really doesn’t feel like overwatch at all
I hate holiday releases for consoles. I have money in April to buy it. I don't in November.
Makes sense.. Holidays=games.. Tax refund time=new console
@Mintcar923 Exactly! Not to mention who wants to drop 300 to 400 dollars on themselves and have no gifts for anyone else at Christmas time. I mean people are selfish but generally not as such during that time of year.
17:43 It is their European studio, Two Point Studios their next game they teased on Twitter and news is coming this week. Plus it is Humankind not Humanity.
Update: The game is announced as Two Point Museum coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam and most likely playable demo at gamescom.
Switch 1 announced in 2015 as code name NX and released in 2017
Switch two will do the samething announced in 2025 releases in 2027
Perfect timing for switch’s tenth anniversary what better way to celebrate that then with a new switch
That was always my speculation and it seems like it’s being validated based on those rumored headlines
Still talking about the Switch 2, I believe people are already drafting the Switch 2 Pro rumors
The Verge preview was written by Sean Hollister not Tom Warren.
Deadlock sounds like that Moneyball game or whatever from back on the 360. Which is great because I miss that game.
If the first red dead comes to PC it needs to have the original multiplayer with it lol
13:05 I said this months ago. Maybe even last year. Nintendo still wants to milk the switch for all it's worth.
I’m sure Nintendo want one more Christmas to sell the dead stock
Perfect release window for a Switch 2 would be Labor Day 2025.
You do know the world exists outside of America.....
@mikeuk666 I did not say world wide release. Things have rarely had a "world wide" release exactly because of this.
A little more thinking and less taking offense would be more constructive.
Mid lineup only thing that might be worth tuning in for is the Marvel Rivals reveal. ONL fitting to be a waste of time again.
As I stated last video, teaser in January, showcase on the anniversary of the switch's original release, and the system release late April.
Once the new console is announced I’m not going to mind the wait, I just want to know what were getting in the next year
Spawnwave is showing once again he has no business acumen.
My educated guess - MIG Switch is the reason for the Switch successor delay
Why do people need max settings for a game. That's why games be taking 8yrs to come out and then people complain. 1080 is fine and you don't need maxed shadows or ray tracing. So stupid.
People have wanted a new switch 2 months after the switvh came out. We all know it's coming and now a few extra months are nothing to nintwndo. Everyone need to just stop and let it happen. I can see nintendo beimg like "people want new switch, let's make th wait"
If i were nintendo and the plan is to release the successor in early 2025, I would price cut the current skus as follow:
Switch Lite 175
Og Switch 250
Switch oled 300
That way, it compensates for the foreseeable decline in sales because the new one will be out in a few months after announcement.
My guess is they announce Switch 2 in January and then release it mid-2025 so they can squeeze one last holiday season out of the OG Switch.
These nothing burger switch rumours are becoming annoying. You have to report anything when somebody whispers Switch 2?
Indeed, it's a nothing burger with missing lettuce 😂.
Gamescom….
Marvel VS Capcom collection release date? 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
I'd say end of April or by mid May. ❤🎉
It would be wild if the switch 2 could play GTA 6 and it releases at the same time.
But
I don't think GTA6 will change much about it.
@@geminisfl lol
Sure, The Verge didn't break an NDA, but they probably just got blacklisted by the entire industry over it.
Yup. That sounds about right.
This is the same site that employs ash "raging racist" parish as a "journalist". They're a joke.
Been saying for ages it will be announced in March just before fiscal year end and share holders meeting then released within the next few months
Bet the switch 3 will be the constant topic once the switch 2 is out
Concept of Deadlock reminds me of Battleborn.
Black Myth Wukong does not interest me much. Gives me the vibe of being too cinematic heavy at the expense of gameplay. I could be wrong though.
Furukawa is a bean counter. Got started as an accountant, and he's obsessed with having things begin or end(Mario 35) at Nintendo's Fiscal year mark. The year might change but this is HIS release window for anything big.
