This is awesome! I love how this arrangement creates its own identity with the double-time swing portion at 3:00, rather than be a copy+paste of the original.

This is a sick ass arrangement of Tank dude. Absolutely loved the double time swing section. Obviously the alto solo was no Masato Honda but nonetheless was still superb.
@@abeahmed2581 I mean, it's basically a 12-bar blues song arranged for a jazz band in the first place, so it makes sense that the original alto solo plays more like a blues guitar solo. This is a much jazzier arrangement, so the jazzier solo fits well here.
I was expecting this to be incredibly cringy, but honestly a really killer arrangement that doesn’t lose any of the craziness of the original chart. Lead trumpet parts are pretty much all there in the same octave but just broken up in different parts of the chart. I’m not sure I’d choose to play this when the original quite frankly is easier given the length component with all of the hardest lead parts still in there, but I love it all the same.
I’ve played the original twice with two different schools, first time brought in a guest artist to play lead, and second time doubled lead with one of my students who had the needed a flats and g’s so I know this lead part fairly well.

Honestly, pretty good but could've been better in my opinion I think the part that really grinded my gears was right before the solo break, the horns don't end on the E7 chord, which kind of felt a little yassified to me Although it could just be the upper register C's Idk, I feel like it would sound better with only the Low C's, or none at all
It makes me so happy when people know how to write for bass bone
Arranger is a trombone player
Based bass bone part
Bass bone part is difficult but I love that it is actually something
YES ❤
I can barely hear it though idk why
