@@hughjayn1s Sometimes we find ourselves at gigs and the horn needs a quick repair. I once had a pad fall out before a gig and had to stick it bak in with chewing gum! You do what you hav to do.
Absolutely blew me away! Great performance, definitely enjoying watching different renditions of Tank. Probably one of the best so far! Fantastic work, you guys need a lot more subs!!! Subbed :) Love from the UK!
Here you go, Bevo Francis: Saxes: Bruce Bohnstengel, Timothy J. Ishii, Jeff Robbins, Chris Beaty, Michael Morrison Trumpets: Keith Jourdan, Miles Johnson, Jack Evans, Pete Clagett Trombones: Tony Baker, David Butler, Chris Seiter, John Wasson Rhythm: Noel Johnston (Gtr), Paul Lees (Pno), Eric Hitt (Bass), Mike Drake (Drs), Michael Medina (Perc)
This sounds exactly the same as the Hal Leonard Jazz Band channel's rendition - either they played it for them, or are outright copying them. I can't find anywhere saying that they played it however - go check it (ruclips.net/video/bQ47mPDG7Pg/видео.html)
Hey reallifedoor4536 -- it is the same recording. We recorded it with my band, and used that recording for the Hal Leonard demo. They took the chart as is (which TBH was a wonderful surprise to me!).
Saxophone solo was incredibly well done, perfectly captured the spirit of the original while retaining his own individual sound
Especially considering that the palm keys were held down with rubber bands!
@@kennethellison9713how come he did that

Great cover. But damn, I wish I could've heard the organ better.
Awesome! I love the original take on it. Well done by everyone in the band!
y'all deserve way more subs than this. Beautiful cover Yoko Kanno and The Seatbelts would be very proud of each and every one of you 🥰💓

no worries--thanks for listening!

Both of these versions are the same, they’re arranged by John Wasson
Why doesn't anyone play "Tank" as it was written?
are you familiar with the concept of jazz
@@Luke28544 I'm pretty sure that was an honest question, you need to calm down man.
Because it's jazz. Even when I play a transcription, I don't play it note for note for performance. A lot of people don't!
The drums are unbelievably bad the rest is cool tho
no way
Meh......Wasson's version is lame.
Great work by these musicians. The drums kill all drive and momentum though, I don't think this is the right beat for this song.
