Spent an hour looking for S class ships, gave up. Then the next system I warp to, I find a Exotic. Took it back to my ship, and when I came back, I find an S class fighter .
I've got a gray and yellow fighter with a purple turbine in the front that is my go-to ship for everything except hyperspace travel. It's funny cause I spent so much time in the beginning of the game looking for a hauler for my hoarding tendencies, but once I found a 38/12 fighter I lost all interest in the other classes. No better feeling than starting a Pirate Nexus mission and finishing it in under 2 minutes for quick rewards.
Picked up a white and gold royal last night. Looks beautiful and pair perfectly with my suit. Most maneuverable ship I've had. Made fighting a cinch. I think this is going to replace my old fighter. The fighter did more damage but the exotic can really follow enemy ships like nothing else.
I liked the video and i'm eventually going to use the coordinates to get the red one. Then try to find 6 different colors and get a picture of them all on a freighter. That will probably take a while.

I can confirm (1-Oct-2021) the red exotic shown at 15:41 is still available at that location. I would recommend farming it at the system trade center, because you can spot the first wave (group that lands) and reload faster than waiting for the wave at the system station. But I have seen it at both of these locations (trade center & station).

I found a station that has a red one of these that spawns pretty regular, and it's a great source of S class ship upgrades. I have a really nice yellow one (I like tacky things) that's my main ship. Love these!
Nice video. Have you thought of doing one about the different types of ball cockpit exotics? Great video. While I was watching it and jumping to Tier 3 Star systems, I managed to find a Hauler that already had MAX storage. Best 108mil Units I ever spent, only took me an hour to find it. I love this wonderful game! Cheers, Bob!! Great content.

That blue and yellow one you saw at about 12:00 in, I saw a ton of those yesterday, none being S-class, but I liked the look as it was kind of like a drag racer.
After ditching this game for a good 4-5 years due to lack of hype I had for at the beginning but returning to it years later... man I’m happy I pre-ordered this game 💯
I just got one randomly. It was my first crashed ship, 2 days into the game (12 - 15 hours of gameplay). I instantly upgraded from a C class worth 600k to an S class worth 12 million. It's the red one with the folding wings, it looks like the one in the top right corner in the thumbnail. It's only my second ship. I still haven't even got a freighter or an exocraft and I haven't been to an Atlas outpost or anything. I'm only on my 3rd system (including my starting system). The ship was free other than repairs, but I got all that done today (the day I got the ship) :3
That is awesome! Now you are gonna be spoiled, I've had many players say they've never found a crashed exotic...I don't think I have either for that matter.
@@SurvivalBobGaming Oh that's crazy. Since it was my first crashed ship, I almost thought it was scripted at first xD I only found out how lucky I was after seeing how much effort people put into finding them. I spent my first day complaining that I couldn't afford a new ship, the next day I settled for the first ship I could afford (600k), then today I got this. I'm lucky it was crashed though since I still have no money :P
To me it feels like there are some systems that just have more ships landing there. And I think that better ships land on ground trading stations. I may be wrong, but to me it seems logical that they'd have better ships there bc you can't sell ships for scrap on planets, so there must be a reason for you to waste your time in local trading centres.
There are definitely high and low traffic space stations. The same ships are everywhere but it does seem to be quicker at the trade posts. I’ve gotten a ton of my keepers there.
Love your content, finally just realized I wasn't subbed. Quickest fix in the galaxy! You've helped a lot of my early playthrough and shown fun things to do, like ship hunting! First need the nanites/units, but then it's off to grab a ship that speaks to me in appearance rather than class and slots :)
For the ships spawns, I usually go to a terminal or kiosk and they all come in. Also Im new to no man sky but thanks to my good friend who helped me the first 10 hours of no man sky I have gotten the game down, and dont feel overwhelmed with the liberty this game gives
Thanks for sticking with the game! These videos really help us Switch users pick up the game without making too many glaring mistake! Wish I had thought about it before accepting my first Capital Ship… lol but, I did get a Squid Ship Exotic 20 hours in! Luckily I had the credits to straight up BUY it! My starting planet was stocked with Ancient Bones!! So I don’t feel to horrible!!
Hey Bob how about a rags to riches series with no cheese and no glyphs or glitches. It could function as a lets play and a beginners guide to learn about all the mechanics in the game.
Easy spawn in do no missions farm the map till you can get plane now start buying and flooding chlorine within couple hours can fully self sustain yourself with any freighter only really need 50k to flood economy enough to make 30mil profit at base rate roughly travel out or come back later do same etc use that to reinvest into further farm

@@298CRE8 the man said with "no cheese." So flooding chlorine is a no go.
@ top award for proving you can't read buy any amount of chlorine then make more you have 10 chlorine 10 oxygen makes 60 chlorine sell 60 x 600 on average you do math you simpleton that's starting from less than 350 units
Honestly, I'd be slightly pissed if after like 4 years I finally started playing and THEN they started doing paid DLCs ... lol But given all they've done for free I can understand the sentiment, as I adore designing my own ship. Even if finding the parts required me still do the type of stuff that he's doing in this video.
@@ThrottleKitty honestly I think ship customization doesn’t exists so there’s more value to rarity. Anyone can get a squid ship but not everyone can get fancy colors. I’ve seen one of those gold folding wing ships and that adds more rarity because my friend has a yellow one and he wants the gold.
@@Rockyroad321 I mean, you can still make the colors / parts rare? Just make it so you only get colors or parts from scrapping the ship they came form. That way I can get a ship, scrap it for a part I like, and put it on my main ship! Instead of having to totally upgrade a new ship cause it has slightly better wings.
Today I landed in a space station and I found an A class fighter called the "Hawk of freedom" or something like that. Idk if it's exotic but it kinda looks like the Anakin's X-wing fighter from Star Wars. Its great looking and only cost me about 2 million units, love it!
Hunting ships and looking at biomes is literally the most calming and fun thing I've done in a game for a long time. It's good, the game is also gorgeous to boot.
Ahh thanks, so I was doing it right but I just didn't go to a System with a high enough Star rating to get them to appear more consistently. In 5 months, I only found 1 S-class ever lol. It was a fighter on a Gek system and it cost 9MN. That was on my 3rd day of playing the file I lost, so now on a new file I've managed to make some money to set aside a budget of 12MN tops for an S ship. It had a distinctive design and look. A 'Mosquito' type shape with beautiful gold patterning on the flanks =)
I found a transmission centre which asked me to key in a random number of the choice it gave, I guessed it right and it mentioned something about coordinates to a takeable ship.. guessing I’ll go check that out!
"If I get some weird green and pink color combination, that's not my thing: I'm going somewhere else...." **Sad noises in turquoise and pink Gek with similarly-colored multi-tool found randomly.**
I randomly found an exotic ship and it was the best thing ever! it looks like the last ship you posted but, blue but has no wings lol I called it Nova Sphere because it just looks like a ball pretty much haha.
cought my new fan-wing hauler in white yesterday :3 an burnt 50k nanites on in after 5 hours of waiting for an s-class. but i'm happy! and with your buy/sell ship guide nanites are not a problem anymore xD
Maybe try a trading outpost. This is where I've had most of my success in finding S and exotic classes due to the frequency of ships coming and going. It can take an absurd amount of time to get anyone in a Freighter or a space station in my experience as opposed to the outposts.
Thank you so much for the quick reply. Ok I won’t sell it. I guess it is a classic. I did get a Nazaw’s Parallax War Spear and I am giving it a go in battle soon. The other War Spear has no problem taking out pirates. Thanks again for the reply. Abby
In the last few days I realized how deadly my Exotic is. It has no combat upgrades and I took out an Elite bounty pretty easily. It looks almost identical to the one in the video at 15:42. Can't wait to see what it does when I upgrade the storage/tech slots and really upgrade the weapons and shields! :)
thanks a lot for your videos, as a returning player it's great to find ways on how to optimize my time in the game. out of curiosity, are you a Packers fan?

I prefer the anticipation of finding ships without "cheating." It's the excitement of discovery. Using coordinates to get ships is like hunting fish in a barrel--just no excitement. Just part of these times I guess.
Yeah me too, although I don't consider it cheating to go to a set of coordinates to pick something up you want that can only be gotten there. Kind of like knowing what car you want and going to that dealership. That's why I showed both ways.
"Trade ya a B for an A? How 'bout that?" Vy'keen literally shakes their head "no" in direct response. Clearly they've become sentient and self aware! 13:13
Thank you. Also, I find the cheapest place and most ships is at those merchant drop places they send you to for quests. I saw an exotic S class fighter for 12 million there today.
Man I want that Prime Vanquisher cuz its like a helo. I just have the urge to go down to a sentinel hive thing and just hop out of it and start blasting
Ok, third and final post. I also was thinking that if I sell it not just for the 52 million, I could populate my exotics slots with 5he number of slots I put in it. I now have exotics thanks to your tutorials and I would like to say you give a great presentation. You are concise, have great timing and your explanations are easy to understand. I was populating tutorials for “Dreams” for a while and I’ve seen the good and bad ones. Thanks for making them! Abby
Thanks! You won’t get back your inventory slots if you scrap the ship though. I’d keep it simply because you can’t get it again. Money is much easier to come by than rate ships.
I also have a tip for you when you go into the space station and you exit your ship do not move if you move you reset what ships are coming in so just stand there until the ships start coming in and then you can move
I recently found an all white version of the red fighter you are using but has the e wing set up. Full box engines with the dorsal wing. Really like it a lot. The thing is tiny and spiky and reminds me of a fighter from a top down snes bullet hell game. Looks like all the parts go together. Sad I skipped out on a yellow squid I saw. That blue and yellow one you saw at about 12:00 in, I saw a ton of those yesterday, none being S-class, but I liked the look as it was kind of like a drag racer.
14:58 really looks AMAZING! too bad, all of those coordinates don't apply anymore, since the last update.
Really? That suuuuucks
Oh damn I found one of these and I scrapped it lmao
After ditching this game for a good 4-5 years due to lack of hype I had for at the beginning but returning to it years later... man I’m happy I pre-ordered this game 💯
Me too, I played at launch then quit and came back 2 days ago and it’s soooo much better
@@Jambitjigs right, I was actually kinda amazed how much they’ve done since then!
I have the same ship just different wings on it it's so dope!
Since it was my first crashed ship, I almost thought it was scripted at first xD
I only found out how lucky I was after seeing how much effort people put into finding them. I spent my first day complaining that I couldn't afford a new ship, the next day I settled for the first ship I could afford (600k), then today I got this. I'm lucky it was crashed though since I still have no money :P
thanks a lot for the coordinates Bob! i finally got my beatiful squid ship!
Ship shopping is very relaxing.. land and just see what luck you have.. Good hunting and keep on Space Truckin!
15:50 I found that last one in white as a crashed ship. I love it.
I find trade post reloading works a bit quicker than space station reload, helpful info vid either way 👍
Bought no mans sky at launch, played a good amount, but have not played in a while. So cool to see they have takin inspiration from stargate.
Great video. Thank you for the share! I'm going ship hunting. You inspired me.
Find something cool and send us a pic
Nice guide. I didn't realize you could swap modules between your ship and the one you're gonna buy on the "Compare" screen..thanks!
Thanks man. Glad you are enjoying it.
Those portals gives me some serious Stargate vibes! Loved it
For the ships spawns, I usually go to a terminal or kiosk and they all come in. Also Im new to no man sky but thanks to my good friend who helped me the first 10 hours of no man sky I have gotten the game down, and dont feel overwhelmed with the liberty this game gives
What I love about doing this is it reminds me of fishing games like Sega Bass Fishing!
And the second one, I got him on my first day playing , in color cyan and Maincolor white and it's a S class😂
By God sounds like a beauty
Love the colour scheme of your suit. Pretty much my own colour scheme!
Here’s a possible tip: Once in a good system use the economy scanner to find a Trading Post where ship traffic is high.
Yeah, I’ve noticed that trading posts have ships moving in and out of them faster than space stations.
Iv seen a lot more exotics at Trading Posts than Space Stations. Got my squid ship from a trading post aswell.
@@ofisblagoevgrad6424 Damn. Good news is that that place will spawn more squid ships so if you wait there you should see another eventually.
Tell me more...
@ you make cheese from first step did you read?
@ top award for proving you can't read buy any amount of chlorine then make more you have 10 chlorine 10 oxygen makes 60 chlorine sell 60 x 600 on average you do math you simpleton that's starting from less than 350 units
1:33 the fact that your ship is named 99 Problems is how I learned you could rename the ship. But I'm still with starters, so :D
I feel like they should absolutely add an expanded carrier capacity and ship customization, at this point I'd be willing to pay for it
Honestly, I'd be slightly pissed if after like 4 years I finally started playing and THEN they started doing paid DLCs ... lol
But given all they've done for free I can understand the sentiment, as I adore designing my own ship.
@@ThrottleKitty oh that’s actually a really nice idea, you gotta suggest this to the devs because I can see that working very well
Very well laid out video. Great narration and easy to listen to, thank you for this!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Almost thought he was gonna say coolest shit in the beginning
🤣
Today I landed in a space station and I found an A class fighter called the "Hawk of freedom" or something like that. Idk if it's exotic but it kinda looks like the Anakin's X-wing fighter from Star Wars. Its great looking and only cost me about 2 million units, love it!
Nice! It’s not exotic because all of them are S class, but it still sounds cool!
I need to get my arse back on NMS looking at ships is my favourite pass time 😂
Hunting ships and looking at biomes is literally the most calming and fun thing I've done in a game for a long time. It's good, the game is also gorgeous to boot.
@@Juwce_86 100% 🙂🤘
The numbers aren't random, there's always a mathematical pattern to them.
2798 - 7982 - 9827 - XXXX
In this example the answer would be 8279.
Yeah, I know this now.
You need more subscribers. Your videos are amazing, as someone who is starting out with NMS I appreciate you sharing your knowledge!
Thanks man!
"If I get some weird green and pink color combination, that's not my thing: I'm going somewhere else...."
**Sad noises in turquoise and pink Gek with similarly-colored multi-tool found randomly.**
I’ll just leave them for you! 😉
Just found this channel. Love the content. Informative, clear, fun, and chill attitude. Love it.
Thanks man. Glad you like it!
The exotic u found at the end. I found one like that but my model that I found had 2 spinning jets in the back I prefer those to be honest
Great video. Glad I’m not the only one who “enjoys the hunt.”
never saw the portal before but first thought is HOW have they not been sued yet lol thats the stargate no matter how you look at it lol
That’s awesome! Thanks never thought I’d see you burn 50k nanites. 🤣 I’m glad it worked out for you. Fan haulers are awesome!
@@SurvivalBobGaming i got tiered of waiting at the spacestation. yeah, she's really sweet looking, but flys like a brick without any upgrades xD
Bummer because you can glitch any s-class over to your desired ship with multiplayer. That’s what I did
The Pattersons I don’t trust that glitch. I’ve seen it cause problems for several people in my Discord Server.
Legit after watching this I find a s class exotic but was a million to short
oh what the hell i didn't expect to see my sphere in the thumbnail :(
A must read for every beginner 👍 Great job
Maybe try a trading outpost. This is where I've had most of my success in finding S and exotic classes due to the frequency of ships coming and going. It can take an absurd amount of time to get anyone in a Freighter or a space station in my experience as opposed to the outposts.
Does this still work?
@@joey9492 Should. Sorry for late reply I don't often check old comments.
Only 20 hr in and feel lost . Glad I found you !! Subscribed and thankful for your content!
Thanks!
I enjoy finding more than having.
(5:55) I got 99 problems and this ship ain't one.
You got it!
thanks a lot for your videos, as a returning player it's great to find ways on how to optimize my time in the game.
out of curiosity, are you a Packers fan?
Glad they are helping. I’m ot a Packers fan but my team does share their logo...Just in Red and Black.
Now I’m curious...why do you ask?
@@SurvivalBobGaming the colours of your Traveler's Exosuit look a lot like the Packers
I had no idea how easy it was to buy ships... thought searching for downed ships would be the only way
Bobs helping us find the black squid
some say it doesnt exist
but i know better
😢💔 ⚫️ 🦑
It was way overhyped but I’ve loved this game since it came out. Never hated it, so it just gets better and better
Me realizing that NMS is playable now in 2021:
huh... well ill be damned.
sign me up
How did I miss that you FOUND 99 Problems!?! Going to have to look through your vids cause I want to hear your delight during that moment! :)
Thanks bro, I was on the space anomaly and a guy gifted me 250 million worth of stuff, I now need a new ship lmao
That’s so lucky
How did you get gifted that??? I gotta try
@@Bennett4ever, I was on the space anomaly and a guy was giving this guy some resources, so I asked for something because I was poor and he gave me 5 things orthodoxy 50 million each, so just ask people for resources but don’t be pushy, don’t spam that you need resources, it happens a decent amount
@@Bennett4ever gotta get lucky. Some people are just generous
People are super helpful in this game. A random dude I grouped up with for a quicksilver quest gave me 250,000,000 credits. Bro!!
That's awesome
I prefer the anticipation of finding ships without "cheating." It's the excitement of discovery. Using coordinates to get ships is like hunting fish in a barrel--just no excitement. Just part of these times I guess.
Yeah me too, although I don't consider it cheating to go to a set of coordinates to pick something up you want that can only be gotten there. Kind of like knowing what car you want and going to that dealership. That's why I showed both ways.
"Trade ya a B for an A? How 'bout that?"
Vy'keen literally shakes their head "no" in direct response. Clearly they've become sentient and self aware!
13:13
1:00 actual start of the video.
Thank you. Also, I find the cheapest place and most ships is at those merchant drop places they send you to for quests. I saw an exotic S class fighter for 12 million there today.
awesome!
Coxallday lol
🤣🤣🤣 I know. Got trolled in my own video. 🤷🏻♂️
Man I want that Prime Vanquisher cuz its like a helo. I just have the urge to go down to a sentinel hive thing and just hop out of it and start blasting
Committing and then getting something better... That happens a lot when u get a GF🤣
Joseph Nash ...exactly! 🤣🤣🤣
Wow, I’ve never heard that before!
found my first exotic a few days ago, was chilling in a space station and missed it flying out so i waited there again and eventually one came back
I just started playing tonight, and this game is VAST. So much to learn. Starting in creative mode.
Also chased after a red mosquito today as it flew off.
