The only redeeming part is the fact that you only have to pay 20 dollars a year to play online. Thas still a load of money for a lot of people in third world countries. I also heard the online experience suck. My fictional hope is that nintendo completely removes the need for a subscription to play online
I only have Switch Online so I can upload replays and custom stages in Smash Ultimate… And that’s it… I don’t play any of the legacy content through it… I pretty much got myself covered with a real-deal N64 and Wii U and 3DS VC. For a long time since 2017, I was hoping Nintendo would make one more mini system, and said system being the N64 Mini. Just one more and that would have been a done deal… But nope! That never happened. Nintendo wasted a golden opportunity and opted for poor emulation in NSO Expansion Pack. The sales numbers of the Switch hardware REALLY got into their heads and still affecting them today… Nintendo needs another Wii U… not in terms of a commercial disaster, but in terms of a system selling worse than its predecessor… but enough for everyone to enjoy having all the content.
One thing I hate about it is that instead being able buy and own classic games on the switch aka virtual consol, they are locked behind the subscription.
@@Yoshizuyuner No judgment if you folks do it. However, there are plenty of people who don't want to mess with emulation, for legal, moral, lazy, and tech inept reasons.
Still better than PS Plus in 2 ways because Nintendo membership is $60 cheaper PS Plus, and the free games are available anytime unlike PS Plus you need the membership at the same time if you want the game which after the deadline you can't get it anymore after that.
@@NintendoStuff3d But I can still download all of them without a monthly deadline and like said about the PS Plus free games are on a limited time setup which think as a now or never situation.
Obviously people are playing NES games, they just released NES championships. I agree you should be able to buy them individually but NSO is a great way to explore retro gaming. Try Ninja Gaiden then do another video.
Why would you ever want to buy for your virtual console games if you just going to bring up emulation, is kind of stupid right? Like you said you can emulate the games on the phone anyways so who cares, also is getting easier to get into emulation in the first place so buying anything is completely pointless, and your a sucker for buying any virtual console games at all in the first place

Doubtful that they would if Xbox and sony is doing it
Funny enough I am using the Nintendo Switch online to show kids the past games. Apparently they were obsessed about the golf ⛳️ game strangely enough
That is actually kind of strange.

That wouldn’t change anything at all they can live through another one those easy
@yoshizuyuner they actually have enough money to run their whole company at a loss of 250 million a year until 2052…

Why buy anything when you can just * emulate it *

You still need to be subscribed to Nintendo Online if you want to play any of the older systems.
And even if you stay subscribed they still take PS+ "free" games off the service

This is why you should be ashamed of yourself that you did get scammed I use steam and retroarch.
How did I get scammed?
@@NintendoStuff3d they are just too greedy or worse it won't let you play romhacks but kept subscribing like mad.
@josephfrye7342 I’m not subscribed to nintendo online, that was the whole point of the video.
@@NintendoStuff3d well damn straight. it is worse than virtual console.

Virtual Console is for those who aren’t tech-savvy enough for emulation.
