Ibanez makes the best affordable guitar; no contest. I just ordered this little lady and am stoked to be playing again after 5 years. That binding is sexy AF.
Really impressed with this guitar. My first Ibanez and I love it. I have more expensive guitars and this plays as well or better than any of them. A Gibson Les Paul, Fender Strat and Telly all of which play beautifully are matched if not exceeded by this little beauty. It does not have the highly polished finish of the more expensive guitars but it has its own charm and style. Above all else, right out of the box it plays great, fantastic action. Best set up I've ever seen on a new guitar which would be ideal for beginners who get derailed early by poorly setup guitars. Kudos Ibanez.

I bought this guitar early 2020 and love it. One of my favorite RGs in my collection and the cheapest. Plays great. I think the Infinity R pickups sound pretty good, but I actually just recently put some Infinity 1 and 4 pickups I had laying around in it. Improved the output and has a thicker tone now. Killer guitar and AMS currently has this RG in stock again for those looking!

I didnt even play it before I knew I was going to buy it. All's I had to do was hold the thing. But when I plugged it in at the shop it was like it belong to me since I was born. I love this guitar. Its one of my two fav guitars.

Additionally a few things I wanted to let you know about: 1. you definitely DESERVE more Subscribers haha xD 2. almost Two Year's after you've made and uploaded your review I from my perspective here in Germany I can say this one is STILL not so common/ easy to get I bought mine just TODAY and the Shopowner told me, they got this one last week, and I had the Lucky Moment to be the first one interested in it, so I got it haha xDD When I asked him when there'll be another in his Shop he said: "If tomorrow a customer orders one, he/ she has to wait for at least 5 weeks till it's here" 🤣👍 3. Last but not least: the ONLY DIFFERENCE between the one you used in this Video and mine is that the "Color Brightness or Intensity" of the RED Shark tooth inlays is brighter - more intense RED then on the one I bought today 😤 My inlays I'd say, are more 'Dark Red' But that's all^^ everything else is probably exactly like it was when you got yours 👍 I subscribed to your channel and if someone I know wants to buy this Model or wants to know more about it I recommend them your review Video 👍 Aye Sir! This is my goal guitar once i saved enough money, im a total beginner but im concerned bc some ppl say i should get a tremelo/whammy bar with the guitar but i really love this one
I bought this guitar on Amazon also and it came perfect, didn't have to tighten or adjust anything. Unlike the LTD arrow I spend near $800 for from guitar center, came all kinds of messed up, everything was loose, the trem was a mess, things installed improperly, etc., The list goes on. But, I will be buying from Ibanez again due to the fact that if their quality control is excellent for a $250 guitar, then I would think that it would be excellent for their expensive models.
I’m buying the grg250dx version pre owned for £120 in the morning man. What a stunning instrument. They discontinued the Floyd rose model in 2015 and i almost bought the fixed bridge one just for the look and to be fair every Ibanez I’ve played has been high end feeling, I also ha Jackson dinky with a Floyd so next I’m after something with a fixed bridge to easily tune quickly to different depths of metal sorcery. Beautiful guitar mate can’t wait for mine
I consider buying one for 180 euros, so like 200 dollars i think.. The quality seems really good and i bet there are guitars for 3x that price that dont have a good quality control as ibanez.. Thats why i love Ibanez, they dont rip off costumers.. They offer really good instruments for reasonable prices and that way they profit, cause the customers come back to them..

Definitely NOTHING to regret buying it! I played on a lot different Guitars in My life so far, I became early on a Fan of IBANEZ when I started playing, but unfortunately I never had much money to be able to buy a 'GOOD' Guitar to 'start off or getting back in' so far 😅 But now that I did , for My first one of a few I want to buy in the future, it was the best choice I could have made, personally 👍 I absolutely can agree with everything said in the video about this Guitar and a 💯% I can recommend this one as an affordable great Guitar for either... - someone who started playing - coming back after years 'not playing' - and in general to everything else 🤣 I hope you'll have as much fun and joy using it as I do when you get it 👍

What gauge are the edefault strings and what gauge do you use normally? It would have been nice to hear some (distorted) riffs from the bridge pickup but overall - very nice clip. Thanks for posting.
I found one at guitar center almost brand new. Best $200 i ever spent. Needed a cheap guitar for college cuz i sure wasn’t bringing my ESP LTD to a college dorm. Couldn’t be happier with mine except one pickup keeps sliding down on one side, something with the screw bore
I've got a lot of guitars. All of wich cost much more than this gio. I've been looking at these for a mod project because I love the look. However, the more I hear about them. The less I want to change anything lol. Nice review man.
And this is why my wallet is mostly empty. I see something as pretty as this Ibanez in my favourite colour combination that looks like something Dracula would shred on and I immediately want to be all over it! When you were detailing the specs of it, I noticed the black paint had a bit of a dark red glint to it. Is the paint pearlescent or slightly metallic? It's hard to tell if it's got a pearlescent finish or if the body is matte black at times. That distorted metal is also mosh pit material. Not bad at all! Keep at it!
WIfey is letting me get a second guitar (only have Kramer Baretta special at moment). Hoping to try one of these, a Jackson dinky and a LTD (ESP) EC-100 to see what one feels the best. My intention is to make it a drop tuning metal machine, lol. Watching this video has helped, thanks for uploading.
Tried this guitar out today. Had it set through a Marshall,think it was a code or something. Anyway usually I play metal and hard rock but I played it clean and this guitar rang out beautifully. For almost an hour,I couldn't put it down in store. I might have to get it lol. But for that i might have to sacrifice my Charvel. Let's see what happens

They’re comparable in price and probably quality. The 70QA I’m sure is just as good as this one but I’ve never played one. If you’re a beginner I’d recommend get the one that you like the color better. Really any guitar will work for you as a beginner. So it’s just what you like better cosmetically.
I just bought this guitar. I'm a newbie and I'm having issues with the action, doesn't matter how much I adjust it the strings are always to close to the frets. I guess I have to take to a technician.
This guitar looks absolutely nice. Howevet, Im just a beginner at guitars and I wonder if you can install a Whammy bar to this one? (I think thats the name), or a floyd rose bridge? Please, enlighten me
This one has a fixed bridge you cannot use a whammy bar and I would not recommend installing a FR bridge you would need an experienced wood worker. If you’re a beginner don’t get a FR bridge unless you want to hate your life.

What gauge are the edefault strings and what gauge do you use normally? It would have been nice to hear some (distorted) riffs from the bridge pickup but overall - very nice clip. Thanks for posting.

I found one at guitar center almost brand new. Best $200 i ever spent. Needed a cheap guitar for college cuz i sure wasn’t bringing my ESP LTD to a college dorm. Couldn’t be happier with mine except one pickup keeps sliding down on one side, something with the screw bore

And this is why my wallet is mostly empty. I see something as pretty as this Ibanez in my favourite colour combination that looks like something Dracula would shred on and I immediately want to be all over it! When you were detailing the specs of it, I noticed the black paint had a bit of a dark red glint to it. Is the paint pearlescent or slightly metallic? It's hard to tell if it's got a pearlescent finish or if the body is matte black at times. That distorted metal is also mosh pit material. Not bad at all! Keep at it!

In my opinion the action is medium, perfect for me. But you can adjust the action on any guitar if you want to make it what you want.

WIfey is letting me get a second guitar (only have Kramer Baretta special at moment). Hoping to try one of these, a Jackson dinky and a LTD (ESP) EC-100 to see what one feels the best. My intention is to make it a drop tuning metal machine, lol. Watching this video has helped, thanks for uploading.

Tried this guitar out today. Had it set through a Marshall,think it was a code or something. Anyway usually I play metal and hard rock but I played it clean and this guitar rang out beautifully. For almost an hour,I couldn't put it down in store. I might have to get it lol. But for that i might have to sacrifice my Charvel. Let's see what happens
I sold mine. And the only reason was to get a 7 string. If I ever buy a 6 string again I will this this same one.

I just bought this guitar last week. Killer guitar overall but I found the strings to be too tight?Is this meant to be played in standard tuning? Not sure if its the string gauge or maybe my hands are not used to playing guitar yet. Lol!

You can play anything you want on this guitar. It’s going to come down to the amp you use to get more of a different sound.

I don't know what to choose between this one and the grx 70qa, i'm a beguinner so i don't really know whats best for me.
They’re comparable in price and probably quality. The 70QA I’m sure is just as good as this one but I’ve never played one. If you’re a beginner I’d recommend get the one that you like the color better. Really any guitar will work for you as a beginner. So it’s just what you like better cosmetically.

Technically yes. But talent isn’t always in the guitar, it’s in the player. A better guitar will help though.

I just bought this guitar. I'm a newbie and I'm having issues with the action, doesn't matter how much I adjust it the strings are always to close to the frets. I guess I have to take to a technician.
You must not be adjusting it correctly. Each string saddle on the bridge has two small Allen screws that you adjust to lower or raise from the neck.

This guitar looks absolutely nice. Howevet, Im just a beginner at guitars and I wonder if you can install a Whammy bar to this one? (I think thats the name), or a floyd rose bridge? Please, enlighten me
This one has a fixed bridge you cannot use a whammy bar and I would not recommend installing a FR bridge you would need an experienced wood worker. If you’re a beginner don’t get a FR bridge unless you want to hate your life.
