When you have a bunch of stuff like Grass, Brilliant fusion, Gossip + Rhongo, Maxx C, Lyriclus Starving FTK, Colossus,.... all legal in the same format while they are banned in TCG and somehow the game doesn't break. I guess when everything is broken nothing is?
Bro the OCG has had Colossus for years at 1 and was tier 2 at most almost was 1.5 but it isn’t a threat like how people treat him here. And wouldn’t even be a threat in the TCG.
@@velvetblue2285 It is really annoying if you go second and they end on Spheres and Colossus and you don't have an answer you probably just scoop or pass and get OTK'd. Definitely not broken but super annoying to deal with.
@@hottoast16 yes and no there’s ways around it from a pop/ walking droll. If you pulled the right cards it can work. Also Colossus only stops people from searching not Drawing so if you have a draw in hand it can work out in your favor. I see your point and completely understand but even when I battled a Colossus I had my Thunder Deck and literally had to out smart them without having DRNM or FORBIDDEN. Luckily I had allure of Darkness and was able to pull DRNM. But otherwise you could always wall up and play def till the right card can let you pop off.
Ehhh i would agree but the really BROKEN shit is still banned. All these cards are really good but they have conterplay and can be dealt with. But some shit on the banlist deadass says win the game and there's just nothing one can do about it

Grass is definitely an extremely strong card, but it requires a completely different style of deck building. It also has a massive target on it's back, so most people when they see 60 cards would hold the ash blossom for a potential grass. While I do think that it would be risky, Grass would be a very interesting card to bring back.
Right, If anything, master duel proves grass isn't a problem since none of the best decks use it. It is just another fun rogue option.

As if there arent enough problems in current format yugioh already for them to start bringing back extremely degenerate auto win button cards. Just because a deck or card isn’t tier 1 or the best strategy doesnt mean its unhealthy for the game. Also not like there are any serious tcg players advocating for grass unban anyway, so that ain’t happening anytime soon.

For some reason grass is at multiple copies in the ocg and sees no play at all. Very weird. More of that tcg vs ocg mindset.
TCG plays to win, OCG plays not to lose. But also TCG whines the tryhards the most while OCG doesn’t take it seriously.
OCG players be lacking that sigma mindset
OCG is more casual and their tournaments are much smaller.

Lmao Grass decks have never been consistent or good, they're just fun to play and incentivize innovative deckbuilding. Turns out playing 60 cards isn't exactly "consistent". Grass haters mald over this card for literally no legitimate reason
exactly, in this decklist it's a 26% chance to draw it, accounting for the chicken games and upstart, whilst the chance of bricking is much higher

i battled a grass looks greener danger deck about 2 weeks ago...
they lost the duel because they couldn't draw any more cards. LOL
they literally milled their entire deck to oblivion.
Currently on a 29 win streak in Plat with Grass Dragon Link with the Thunder package. Deck is insane
It made my lightsworn get me to platinum. Not a big thing, but the fact it and snow exist is insane on many levels.

@@epicpkerdude5593 Did you watch the video? He just repeated the names of the cards with live effects twice. Later in the vid he spends another 10-15 seconds to make a decision regarding two cards. Its slow playing whichever way you look at it.

The master duel banlist probably will change a lot on the next drop, as the first time for konami doing such a thing like this game it is understandable if some things werent thought out too well

Yeah its just a matter of when the next banlist will drop, its likely they went with this type of banlist initially just to see how both ocg and tcg players will make use of forbidden cards. Then they'll just be able to see the playrates of certain cards.
I just hope they don't go for the duel links route and host another multi day event (like the tedious KC Cup) before they decide on how to change the banlist

Rhongo at 3
Upstart/Into the Void at 3
Macro/DF at 3
Maxx C at 3
Colossus unbanned
VFD at 1
Halq and Verte at 1 (which doesnt do shit, you either run 1 or 0)
But the Cannon Soldier line is a no-no and Dragoon is banned

Control meta. They ban ftk enablers and dominant control options like dragoon. Everything else is counterable with correct siding and deck building. Maxx c is just that good
Collossus might be limited but theres two main deck thunder dragon cards that are limited and semi limited

Look there is a 60 card deck with:
3 desires
3 upstart
3 chicken game + 1 terra
3 non once per turn quick effect banish 7 face up + book of moon
A thunder dragon engine that allows to end up with a one sided floodgate with protection and plus out of banishes
2 destrudo
And 3 grass
So obviously grass is the problem card here and can't come back to the TCG since there's absolutely no way to combo without it, this doesn't exploits the fact that there is no side decking, the mirror match wouldn't reduce the likelihood of people playing the deck and the meta shown here perfectly mirrors the TCG one and whatever is or isn't broken here will be there to

Ok so to be fair you have colossus in this deck which probably wouldn't be legal at the same time as grass if it came back, plus grass would probably come to 1 and not 3 so it's too different from this video to really compare

As much as I hate mill/chao/thunder decks, Grass could be at 1 or Reasoning at 3 and it wouldn't really break the format. They aren't broken/unfair cards in the modern game. Not generic enough and have to build your deck around it pretty much.
I’m pretty sure grass is banned not because it’s broken but because for a paper game its a nightmare to resolve
@@geiseric222 How is "place top X cards from your deck into the GY" hard to resolve? All it takes is counting the cards in your deck (or, in case you want a shortcut, couting the cards in hand + GY).
@@geiseric222 I think that's part of the reason too. 60 card decks in general are a pain for Judges and stuff too lol.
In OCG it's legal though and it's not a huge problem there since it's not that popular anyway. They also have some Best of 1 tournaments and stuff though.

Pot of Greed is banned because its a +1. If you go +1 off Grass resolving, you got insanely unlucky. Grass is broken and should absolutely stay banned

Most good cards to mill are UR/SR and extra deck enablers for them are also SR/UR. Its really expensive but really fun when you get to finish and play it

One biggest things I love about master duel is getting to play grass decks again. I literally made an alt acc just to play grass decks. So far I have this Danger thunder deck, paleofrog and skull servants all built with enough gems to build infernoids if I wanted to. All F2P as well, because most of the URs overlap!
What's the union carrier for? I've only ever seen it used to buster lock or infinite negate Apex Avian, so my smoothbrain can't figure out what the point/target for it here is.

Skull Servant need a grass version. Maybe when you don't mill a Skull Servant card you put all you milled caeds back into the d eck and banish a set amount of cards face down.
