Josh has stated before he hates mathmech circular and cards like it due to how overly splashable it is in cyberse archetypes along with a myriad of other reasons
That pure zoo fornat (before draco) was so fun. I was playing crystrons that format and it was so good. It had a good zoo matchup, its paleo matchup was decent as well since it had a good resource loop. Draco (master peace) just made crystrons completely unplayable.
Dracos killed the entire format. MACR for that reason is my most hated set. Every deck needed 80 bucks Ash + the format was dogshit cause True Draco/True Draco Zoo with the only enjoyable deck being True King Dinosaur Yang Zing. True Draco especially felt unbeatable as rogue decks.
60 card Paleo is such a cool deck, kinda feels like Runick Spright in some ways with just a strong rank 2 engine and a tonne of powerful generic effects that would gain additional advantage all in engine.
Every time i see this card resolve when i don't have a negate, i surrender before it resolves. Easy enough to negate, but man this card is so strong when it goes off.
even thou that lightsowrm deck list was dog water, it pains me to see how cimo missed so many clean plays like returning a card with omega and use snow to chain block
I ran a 60 card varient of lightsworn when grass was legal you didnt so much rely on the grass so as it was mainly used to make 3 copies of omega and start your opponent with half a hand running things like brilliant fusion and preda plants,
Me watching the Crystal Beast episode in a nutshell. I really hope they don't try to players Conclave Control on Tear format, because I'll be SO pissed when they inevitably mess it up.
I mean at the end of the day this isn't supposed to be a pro player game, they are still content creators. I don't think it's fair to judge someone who is playing a new deck every week and nit pick what they did wrong from someone who cooked with these decks for multiple months
I get that they don't have a lot of time to practice, and that it's a pretty difficult deck that really isn't even that good, and that the goal of the deck isn't immediately obvious. But it's still really frustrating to see Cimo completely fumbled showcasing the deck. I won't blame him, I get it. But it's important to say that this episode doesn't represent the deck honestly.
@@frig7014 Broadbull was never the issue, if Broadbull was the issue then Turbo Zeus would've still be competitive after Drident band, Drident is the issue, because it was the card that gave the deck any kind of turn 1 play, and also i made summoning Utopic Draco future way more easier and consistent, without Drident the deck is a hard going second deck that has almost no way of defense if they get stoped, also Drident was what people went if for some reason you couldn't summon Zeus, so yeah Drident is and has always being the problem.
@@Ms666slayer Broadbull was absolutely an issue as part of the Zoo engine, a Non-HOPT ROTA for almost any Beast-Warrior is an absolutely cursed mechanic with 3 Tenki and the ability to get multiples of them in a turn or Drident with Ratpier is absolutely cursed and has only aged like a fine wine with stuff like Tri-Brigade and monster-lite strats like Eldlich. Fair assessment. I think they'd both admit as much. They arent pro players either. Think about that the people who played these decks spent considerable amounts of time practicing them, compared to what these 2 are doing. Neither of them are bad players by any means, but its about dedicating to the craft. Unfortunately, this probably only get worse as they advance to even more modern times, outside of maybe decks that they actually played themselves.
This is how I felt watching Cimo play Chaos dragon against Dark world. Holding bloody Lightpulsar in his hand waiting for it to get sniped when the card floats on the field 🤦♂️😂

Nice to watch after Josh made the new Paleo list in Master Duel

The list was fine; it’s a blind second list that sides Omega to loop for going first. It’s on the high roll side but Cimoo is just a bad pilot.
