If you are asking me, of course I know he is releasing a solo album who have to live under a rock not to know that. I am saying he should sing more in Asking Alexandria. No need to be rude about it. Dang.
wasn't being rude , and yes he should sing more in asking Alexandria but then that is taking it away from danny seeing as he is the vocalist , so this is why he is releasing a solo album, remember he is only back up vocals for AA
Oh my gosh I really love Ben like I cried when I heard this because I really love him and his voice is so amazing. When I first heard it in single moment of sincerity I was like OK you got it and then not the American average I was like I am in love with you. I really love him omg I am crying
I admit...I didn't think this was going to be good...but it really is very good...great even! I think I still prefer Florence's a tiny bit more, but I see nothing wrong with liking both!
Look at it this way. If this song was sang by a practiced or trained vocalist, it'd be quite the cake walk. It's quite a simple tune to sing, and the good vocalists wouldn't require any sort of audio remapping in the form of pitch correction. Now, that's not to say that not all vocalists - regardless of how skillful they are - have their voice mixed and mastered with carefully planned effects. All vocalists, unless they specifically request to have 100% "dry" vocals, get their voice tweaked before the track is released as it's been part of the production industry standard for nearly a decade. Knowing that and his history, we can estimate Ben's performance and likely production more accurately. Ben is a guitarist first and singer second, or at least this is how he has been known to be since his time in the eye of the public. This might soon change as he's becoming more of a trained vocalist, we might see him switch over to become more of a singer / songwriter first and musician second. But as of this recording, it's safe to assume he isn't nearly as good as he could be or perhaps will be as time permits. That all said, if this is an easy song for a trained vocalist, it would be safe to assume at least 75% of this was equally as great without any production. And the way his voice was adjusted gives him maximum credit as a singer. There are not many, if any at all, spots where it was clear that the audio engineer used Melodyne (pitch correction / remapping software) or any other equivalent. If anything, it would have been used more heavily during the mini vocal riffs he performed at the end of a few phrases. Generally pitch correction is used to correct notes that, for example, fell flat when they weren't intended to. But it's just as easy to simply re-record the line in question as songs are generally recorded line-by-line with the same lines often sung numerous times in an attempt to achieve different inflections / tones / harmonies. Taking this into consideration, if Ben is actually good, I'd give him credit for 90% of this track as the rest of the edits are simple effects used to both maximize the use of the available audio space and to capitalize on the pleasantries of his voice in an attempt to enrich the listeners' own listening experience. These effects I'm referring to are the simplistic ones that don't change the voice nearly enough at all to make it sound like anyone else or something it's not. Compression to tighten and condense the voice. Reverb to add a hint of ambience and widening in the background of the track. Stereo shaping effects to position vocals in very specific placements within the stereo output space. Multiband EQ to isolate specific frequency ranges of the vocal bands and adjust them ever so slightly, independently from every other tone from within the wave. One final note about the beginning of the song. When any person sings a song that's written in their native language but has foreign accent, often times the vocalist subconsciously modifies their voice to fit the accent of the original author. For example, as an American, I sound "slightly English" when I sing Ed Sheeran songs because I'm matching my vocal tone up against someone with a different accent. It is very clear in the start of this song, Ben is heard doing the same thing but in reverse. Whether it was intentional or not, it's still his real voice, just sounding slightly "foreign." This might be a bit of a read but I hope it not only settles your curiosity but I also hope it interests you somehow. Perhaps you'll even have learned something new. Whatever the case may be, have a good one mate!

On a lyric video
Mate what?
is this pop music. I like the lyrics, but not the music
This is a cover of the song. It was originally sung by Florence and the Machine.
this sounds better on florence
TBH he sings far good than Danny in clean vocals he's more angelic than mah bro
Sounds like Craig Mabbitt at some parts
The original is better. No true soul being sung here.
Como pode ele ainda dizer que canta mal? porra
My ears... I can never un-hear this garbage, Florence where are you??
im sorry but this doesn't sound like ben... 0.o
Just cause you've never heard him actually create his own style of vocalization before.
too much autotune
It's a shame because he doesn't need it
You're to much auto tune haha jk I felt that too. However, it's still good
Autotune
