Thanks man this is very helpful. I just started playing a few days ago and didn’t know locked/unlocked was a thing. The only cards I bought were either common or genesis so this was reassuring. My only regret is not finding this game sooner because pyramid warden nearly 3xd in November 🤦♂️ excited to see where this game goes.

Great video. I wish there was a way to put in buy orders so buyers compete to drive prices up instead of only allowing sellers to compete and drive the price down. It is hard to tell where demand actually rests at a glance.
Excellent point. There used to be this option when it was on L1, I guess they don't have this technology built in yet for L2

L1 is the Ethereum mainnet. L2 is IMX, which uses zk-rollups on Layer 2 of the Ethereum mainnet. This allows for gas-free transactions

Why do those rat cards cost so much? And do they even sell?
Because rat cards are in a very limited edition so mostly people buy them are collectors.
Worth to add that Genesis set as mentioned by GU team will be always playable during regular ranked and same games you can play the latest expansions and core. On the other hand expansions released after genesis will be only playable on special events. This will happen eventually in the future in order to keep things balanced. When? Not known yet...
Good point. Some sets will rotate out in a few years, though we have no details on that yet, but still important

I wouldn't fuse randomly, but look up stuff on Tokentrove and see what it's worth.
How high of a level are we talking you think? and they do mean player level and not rank right?

The only sets unlocked are Core (always) and the current set that is for sale (Mortal Judgement, including Lights Verdict cards).

Im just buying cards I want for my decks. I was getting some extra copies to sell later, but I don't want to run out of money to buy future cards that I might want. I'm just going to enjoy playing the game and if my cards are worth a lot in the future then great.
That's a good way to be! I mostly only have 1 copy of all the leggies and 2 of each epic. Not really much of a speculator myself
What about Genesis Chest, if you open diamond Jason won't that change the number on token trove ?
Yep! Chests will indeed raise the numbers. Maybe I'll add a card...to explain that
For the future meta section of the video you mentioned that future cards will be introduced that might buff the previous core set but you had Genisis cards on the screen are Genisis cards considered core cards too? this confused me.
Genesis cards can't be changed, but as I explained in the video, if a card comes out in the future that supports a Genesis card, that card could become very good.
Take a tribe for example, one that has little or no synergies (Dragons for instance). If in the future a card was printed that said "Every Dragon in your deck gets a +2/+2 buff", suddenly old Genesis Dragons that weren't great could become quite good. Obviously we don't know what will be printed in the future, but we do know that tribes will gain more support

That card is Welcome Set, everyone has them. Later higher shines of Welcome Set cards will be in the market
How about avraxus? do you see it valuable or not, because that is legendary and if shiny diamond legendary earn a lot in daily GODS then neutral gonna be an additional value to any deck.
I'm sure he's thousands of dollars in diamond but if you have him I'd play him in every deck to earn Gods for sure!
Wow didn't know about locked cards...although its good for the investors it might be TERRIBLE for the game in the longrun.
Let's say we are on 5th expansion and someone discovers a broken card combination from previous locked expansions and what happens, either everyone plays it or people start migrating over to a more balanced game.
Yeah they have said they'd have to ban cards if that happens. But there will be different game modes and cards will be legal in some and not others likely. But that's a ways down the road

Well just be aware that unlock cards can change. You can still buy them, but just maybe be REALLLLY careful with shiny unlocked cards
Little confused and you might be wrong on a few things. Early you mentioned that things like genesis will not have any minted anymore, so that total number is set forever. Black Rhino for instance shows 28038 on the video, but if you search that now there is already more at 28210. Is this just an old video from before genesis got locked, or is that not actually accurate?
Technically there will be a few more, as chests haven't all been opened yet. That said, there aren't that many chests out there, they are expensive AF so only people who hate money will open them, and they are namely collectors items. IE. The more that get opened, the more valuable the rest become as there are less in existence.
So yeah, apologies for not mentioning chests, but that won't add a significant amount to the grand total, mostly just of commons.

Demo is phenomenal, the most obviously busted neutral card in the game. Never know if they will power creep it though, DYOR, NFA

Community tournament bans, yes. Already been happening for a long time! Actual Immutable run tournaments, unlikely, people would freak out.

Meteorite means they are on the Blockchain, they are NFTs, and they are tradable

so wait, if 27000 is finite does that mean that there will only be 54000 (or less cause u can get some from packs) of the common playing cards in gu? cause i cant think of how u can have a finite amount if one can forge at will and the playing variants are infinite.
Genesis/TotG is finite (there are chests to open still but that won't add a ton, if they are ever even opened). But Core will keep coming in packs

Everything except WS and Core are locked now. And Core and WS will never be locked. When new sets roll out they post about when it will lock (which sometimes gets extended, so keep an eye on the discord). So this is accurate as of time of posting but when a new set rolls out it won't be locked at first until the balancing phase is over.
Except for Promo and Mythic cards, technically they aren't locked. They need this info somewhere in the game 😭

the number you see on tokentrove in the right corner of the card - for example 45 / 9549 means 45 cards are put on sale and 9549 cards are minted
You said 9549 is the maximum of cards there ever will be - but what about the genesis chests and rare chests?
when i check the ETH contracts for the Genesis chests there is only 1/3 of them beeing opened to this day.
theoretically shouldnt that number increase when more Genesis chests get opened with time?

Ok for Core that number will increase as more are forged, and chests will add some to the total, but not many as most chests won't be opened, at least it's only a few a month max.
you asked a good question, why would people buy trash cards? well... I am a completionist, so one objective is to own at least 1 of every single card that exists. period :) silly?! maybe, but a collector's heart can't help it, we need help xD

Yeah cuz someone bought $0.06 cards for $400. So then Tokentrove calculated your account based on some sus trading activity. It's just an estimate, and it's based on algorithms, so if someone is trading bizarrely, it will be wrong
